Thank you so much for simplifying this for me! I’ve been wanting to make a junk journal for each of my kids, from birth to now. I have Early Onset Alzheimer’s and now is the time to do it before I lose those memories too! I really, really appreciate how you simplified it and had the emphasis on not thinking to much about each signature! Thanks again from a grateful Mom!

Don't worry about the mistakes on your junk Journal. It gives it character makes it unique. It makes it you . Your junk Journal is beautiful thank you for inspiring me and sharing your art.
This was very inspirational! I’m new to junk journaling and was getting bummed out on how expensive supplies at the craft stores are, but this is a game changer! I’ll definitely be hitting up my local dollar stores more often now! ❤️
Too be honest with myself here lol. I really don’t like all the bought and pre made items they make everyone’s look way too much a like. I much prefer finding a new way of looking at something that you see every day and it just so hit that person to include it. It really makes their journal their own.I’m new as far as actually binding my own book (working out which processes I’m really finding feasibility for at the moment. Fixed income and all.
I love this journal. I think that sewing around your cover is absolutely the way to go. I've been sewing since I was young. My mom started me by teaching me to make my dolls clothes. I was in the 4th grade. 😊😊 When I started making journals I had no idea what to do. That was when I discovered RUclips. Wow ! I fell in love with it. it's been a ride ever since. RUclips has become my life. I've learned so much. I've come so far now that I don't care ifsome of my pages stick out beyond the cover. That's why God made lace and ruffles lol
This is my first time hearing about a junk journal. This is perfect for all of my craft scraps I have. My kids have long outgrown crafting and I still have so much in the closet. Thank you!
What an amazing craft to make!!! I’ve never made a junk journal before and found you searching the web. Lucky me! You’re so good at making your journals, and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Best time I’ve had watching a crafting video. Thanks so much! ✨
This was the most helpful video I have seen for a beginner junk journaler. I’ve noticed that you don’t post as frequently as in the past but I am thrilled that there is so much here to binge watch. Thank you!
Thank you, Wendy. Great tutorial❣️I put together a book of my favorite prayers and holy cards. I will use it to teach my grandchildren about our Faith and relationship with God.
Very good video! Clear and easy to understand for a beginner. You're a good teacher! Also appreciate seeing all the Dollar Tree products that can be used. Thank you. New subbie!
I watch a lot of tutorials on RUclips and I’m very impressed with your tutorial. Not a lot of outside talking very informative information, I never thought about laying the ribbon down that way nor have I saw anyone apply the fabric the way you do and I just love your content!
Thank you this was just what i needed. I am new to junk journaling. Perfect Video you make it easy to follow along. Thanks again. Look forward to all your videos!!!!
New subscriber here. Hooray, I am so thrilled to see your video! I have watched so many videos on how to make a junk journal, and I can honestly say yours is the best I have watched. I finally feel like I can make one of these. Thank you so much for all the options and details you described!!
I have seen lots of videos on junk journals but I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I love the way you explain everything and show exactly what you’re talking about. You also speak clearly which is great, some speak so fast like they are in a race. You have a great idea of putting in an envelope in the middle of the signatures so that you can hide the threads after you tie them. Genius. 😊
This has been so super helpful, especially your tip about not folding the pages exactly in half if there's an image I want to preserve. When I start a hobby, I tend to buy ALL THE THINGS and this Dollar Tree project is giving me a whole new perspective. Thank you for taking the time.
I am new to junk journals and I am going to attempt one soon. This is an excellent tutorial and I am so thankful I found it! I feel confident I can make my own now!
You are such a great inspiration! I've never heard of junk journalism, but I could make one easily with all of my Moms scrapbooking stuff. She passed away in 2014 and she had all kinds of it. I gave some to my granddaughter, who is going to be 19 in a couple of months, but I still have a bunch of good stuff. Thanks for doing this tutorial, and explaining so well. ❤🥰

I’ve sat through many tutorials on making a journal from a box, yours is refreshingly short and to the point! Thank you, it includes very good instructions and samples. This is a lovely journal. Barb in Cali
I love how this turned out! Fun and very achievable for any level creator. Thank you for sharing. Just an additional item for binding… I use waxed dental floss. It’s incredibly strong. Dollar tree has it too! I also use it to fix my pups toys they chew up instead of regular thread.

Great beginning: you have me reeled in; going to keep watching. I am straight line challenged also. I too, love the twine. Invest in an awl; it will pay for it's self over and over.

Thank you for sharing this. I am very new to junk journaling. I bought books from $ Tree and I covered them with fat quarters from Walmart. Now I’m working on filling it. This is so exciting but it’s time consuming. Today I bought from Amazon the Awl, needles and thread.
WOW...that is beautiful! I've been wondering what a junk journal is exactly. I'm going to watch a few more videos on your channel then give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration!❤🎉❤
I love this! Your explanations are fantastic and the journal turned out so cute. I'm not a fan of single-sided paper either, but I will typically use those for pocket pages so that it covers up a good bit of the white!

I have watched dozen junk journal videos. This is the best. I understand the signature I think. I don't have enough papers for one signature. I'm in a panic😱 So back to thrift stores tomorrow. Thank you so much for a great video
Thank u so much this was very East to follow I’m kind of new to junk journals made a couple but never understood the binding process. Thanks again I’ve become a follower 💕🙏🌻
Thank you for sharing your junk journal process using dollar tree things. I have a lot of those things also. I’m going to have to coffee/tea dye my white papers and doilies. Your process made it look very easy. Thanks again!
What a great tutorial and I loved watching you fill up this gift for your friend!! Subscribed and look forward to more inspo and creative journaling videos!!
AMAZING! I must admit that it was a little bittersweet watching you piece together your signatures & ephemera with both Tim Holtz Ideology goodies as well as so many $ Tree items from crafters square because I live in Louisiana and lost nearly 8 years of Junk Journal supplies to Hurricane Ida. I can tell that you too have been collecting for quite some time and the way you brought together $ Tree items that I no longer see in my stores here and Tim Holtz’s paper pack, paper dolls & other ephemera all is stunning! It just makes me miss my own stash. I keep telling myself that I didn’t have a room filled with so much awesomeness overnight and it won’t be that way now, but at some point I’ll slowing start to re-buy my favorite items and I now can look forward to finding new treasures! Anyway, I LOVED your creativity and I’ve saved your video to my “JJ Inspiration” playlist!! Thanks for sharing!
I feel you & I'm sorry to hear all u lost in the hurricane. I lost a lot of my precious memories from my daughter when she was a baby & crafting to a massive basement flood at my father's house during a storm. But we have our lives & new memories to build from💕 best wishes & fun collecting new items.
Then you know the heartbreak. This was my 2nd go around after having 8ft of water for Katrina, but I wasn’t a crafter then. I did lose a lot of sentimental items though, namely pictures and handwritten journals I had kept from when I was kid. It really, really stinks! I don’t even want to live on the Gulf Coast anymore, but truth be told no place in the US is safe from natural disasters. Everywhere has the potential for some threat. So I’ll just rebuild. That’s what us New Orleanians are good at as long as we have a cocktail in our hands! 😉❤
Oh Ashly, that is devastating, I'm so sorry you went through that and lost your treasures 💔😢 I send you positive energy and virtual hugs from the west coast and hope things get better for you and can build an even better collection than before. 🦋
@@SeapandaCrafts thank you so much for responding, it is very kind of you! Just keep making videos that inspire and I’ll rebuild my stash it’s just going to take time. 🤗
Thank you so much for taking the time and care to explain things so thoroughly. I have watched SEVERAL tutorials but it wasn’t until watching THIS one that I finally got a complete understanding of what Junk Journaling is and can be.
Wow! That was mesmerizing and so informative. I actually think I might be able to do that. 😝. My daughter will be a senior next year and I would Love to make a theme one for that journey. Thanks.
I found your video phenomenal. I don’t plan to go down this particular rabbit hole any time soon but if/when I do you’ve provided an exceptionally clear and precise tutorial. WOW!💙💛🪴
Hi Wendy!! I'm so happy you put this video out!! Back in the day I used to craft a lot, I made & sell the puffy photo albums, decorate sweatshirts & t-shirts with fabric & fabric paint. It was the in thing in the early 90s😳 last time I did major crafting was for my daughter's sweet 15. She's now 33 married with my 1st granddaughter 💕 I'm an early retiree🥰 I'm looking forward getting back into crafting again. U R 1 of my favorite utubers & I started with u due to a DT haul little I knew you crafted as well!! Talk about a win win 🏆 I really want to make my granddaughter keepsake journals like I did for both my kids. I've been gathering supplies & have all I need to start🤗🤗🤗🤗 THANK YOU! LUV ALL UR CONTENT💕💕
Thanks so much Lizette for the sweet compliments and being a supporter of my channel! I appreciate you! I bet your grandchildren's journals are going to turn out beautiful! What a sweet thing to do for them. 🥰

I’m a first time viewer and truly enjoying your video. Thank you.
Love the journal and decorated pages u used, and love the decorated envelopes too, great upcycling idea❤❤❤
Was in a rut. Excellent tutorial. One of the best. Thanks!
What a great tutorial and I loved watching you fill up this gift for your friend!! Subscribed and look forward to more inspo and creative journaling videos!!
You are such a good teacher. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. You did a super great job explaining the process of making a junk journal.
Great video! Welcome to the Can't Sew A Straight Line Club! Sandy ❤
😝. My daughter will be a senior next year and I would
Love to make a theme one for that journey. Thanks.
I found your video phenomenal. I don’t plan to go down this particular rabbit hole any time soon but if/when I do you’ve provided an exceptionally clear and precise tutorial. WOW!💙💛🪴
This is a terrific tutorial! Thank you for sharing it with us all!
