For who ask, the order of the japaneses is Ryuoh, Gorioka, Kaninabe, Senra and Miya
Edit: it's not the order of the list there, it's the order in which they play

I would like to see a crew battle between the top 10 Japanese players ( Acola Miya shuton KEN Yoshidora Hurt Kameme Yaura Tea Asimo ) and the top 10 players ( Light Tweek Sonix Sparg0 Glutonny Zomba Riddles Mkleo MuteAce Dabazu ) from outside Japan.
Japan has a stronger roster imo but World would win because they have the player match up advantage.
Currently Japan has no answer for Sonix. Japan has a hard time to beat specifically Sparg0, Sonix and Light usually. Id imagine they would need Shuton or Yaura for Sonix. Whereas World has multiple answers for each player

Miya - Sparg0/Sonix/MKLeo/Dabuz
Yaura - Light/Dabuz/Glutonny
Tea - Riddles/MKLeo
KEN - Sparg0/Sonix/Light
Asimo - Sonix/Riddles/Tweek
Hurt, Yoshidora, Kameme and Shuton are the bigger question marks for sure
Whereas Japan’s matchups are either uncertain or less winning combos:
Sonix - No answer
Sparg0 - Yaura is prob best bet
Glutonny - Acola/Miya/Tea
Zomba - Miya/Yaura/Shuton/KEN
Light - Miya
Tweek - Acola/Miya
MKLeo - Acola/Shuton
Riddles - Miya
Dabuz - Acola
MuteAce - Tea/Miya/KEN
As a lot of them havent really faced off against each other, its kind of based entirely on matchups and how players do against these matchups in their own region (like Gluto > Yaura logic is Gluto > Sisqui). But you can see how the majority of the winning matchups for JP rely on Miya and Acola. World’s is more diverse giving them the edge when counterpicking.
Id imagine JP’s strategy is to take out the most troublesome players for other JP with specific targets like
Sonix - Maybe Tea or Shuton?
Sparg0 - Yaura
Light - Miya
Gluttony - Tea
MKLeo - Shuton
Riddles - KEN
Acola Anchor
Lets compare a probable strategy for World:
Acola - Sparg0
Miya - Dabuz/MKLeo
KEN - Light
Yaura - Glutonny/Dabuz
Asimo - Tweek/Riddles
Sonix Anchor
This is much more flexible in comparison
If we play out this hypothetical, then JP starts out with one of these:
Hurt, Yoshidora, Kameme
And World starts with one of these:
Zomba, Tweek, MuteAce since they are less necessary for winning matchups
Lets say these play out pretty evenly but Japan has a 2 stock lead leaving Yoshidora with 2 stocks
World will probably send in Glutonny. Probably goes about even and Gluto has 1 stock left
Then its basically following the strategy from here:
1 Gluto vs 3 Tea = 3 Tea left
3 Tea vs 3 Riddles = 1 Riddles left
1 Riddles vs 3 Yaura = 3 Yaura left
3 Yaura vs 3 Dabuz = 2 Dabuz
2 Dabuz vs 3 Shuton = 2 Shuton left
2 Shuton vs 3 Light = 2 Light left
2 Light vs 3 Miya = 2 Miya left
2 Miya vs 3 MKLeo = 1 MKLeo left
1 MKLeo vs 3 Asimo = 2 Asimo left
2 Asimo vs 3 Sparg0 = 2 Sparg0 left
2 Sparg0 vs 3 KEN = 1 KEN left
1 KEN vs 3 Sonix = 3 Sonix left
3 Sonix vs 3 Acola = World Wins
This is just one way it can play out, but even if Japan was leading which is probable considering they have the stronger team, in the end, World outmatches them because of the matchups of the best players of each team & because the anchors are in the favor of World regardless if it was Sparg0 or Sonix. Both can clutch and beat Japan’s two potential Anchors easily (Miya or Acola)
@@KakinTseGamePlayer Why would Riddles be an answer for Asimo? Jazzho destroyed Riddles at Rise&Grind last year. Ken/Ryu are seen as having the advantage in the matchup against Kazuya or Terry.

also i think you're underselling some of the JP players as counterpicks. like for Light you only said Miya even though Acola Asimo and Shuton also do well into him

Senra at three stocks, Miya in the back... and they don't send in Cosmos, who plays one of Jigglypuff's worst matchups in Aegis. Instead they send in Zomba, who plays a big heavy character that's Rest fodder and leave Cosmos with a supremely edge-guardable character against Game & Watch.
