  • Long overdue but short 1st outing with my newly revamped KRAL .357. With initial hiccups out of the way, I am ready to take this beautiful rifle to the next level. Listen up as I show you the initial accuracy, a few pesting clips in slo mo and then give you my honest review.
    BIG THANKS TO:

    Troy Hammer is a dam Genious when it comes to KRAL AIRGUNS. I know personally because I bought a 25 caliber PUNCHER BREAKER from him 4 years ago and its shooting 25 grain JSBs at 950 fps pushing 50 foot pounds and very accurate. But most of all Troy put all his heavy duty components in it and I never had one problam with it in 4 years and I shot the shit out of the gun walking through woods hunting. And he is a great guy that will help you if you have a question or problam. I would recommend TROY HAMMER to everybody thats looking for a beast of a gun that will definately last forever.

    Oh yeah brother. Slamming it bud. As alway very informative sir. God bless. For those who don’t get it….22 LR HPs do about the same with powder being burnt and a heck of a lot more noise. Hats off to the PCPs and those who tune them y’all💪💯🤷‍♂️

      HAHA, so you like the bad news first too huh? We have that in common. Troy hammer is trying to get them all sorted out. My thing is, they could have at least used a Lothar Walther .357 barrel or something similar. Kinda like, everybody used LW. Charge a little bit more money for quality parts, but, NEVER EVER Chinch on a barrel. Its the heart of accuracy

    Cedric this is Jim at amazing airguns I have that very same gun don’t buy a valve assembly take the gun apart remove the valve return spring put the gun back together you might have to give the valve a little tug to get it to seal. On my gun I didn’t even have to, and then fill it to 4045 whatever you want. Then see where you’re at if you’re at where you wanna be don’t worry about drilling out the port. You don’t need to buy a valve assembly. And I love your guns you got a Lotta great stuff and you are one hell of a shot. I especially like those 325 yard head shots.

If you get the opportunity, could you review the FX Maverick 30 Cal. I ordered one and I know you will do an honest no B/S review. The .357 hits hard and looks awesome. It looks like a keeper, those fliers could be anything from ammo to valve needing broken in. Judging from the video footage, its accurate. Happy New Year to you and your family. Be safe .

      Thanks BL! You hit the nail on the head. The Semi Wadcuters come from a mold made by LEE. And those molds are only $20.....lol! None of the ammo I used was sorted either so, groups overall would have been better if i weighed/Sorted for sure. Also, I could try and get my hands on a Maverick 30. It would have to be on loan as I'm not in the market to buy a FX cause I already have those calibers and gun that are extremely capable. But I will see.........

    Cedric; your negatives-first approach to reviews is appreciated. Many reviews come across as glorified advertising because they seem to gloss over the aspects new customers are probably going to find disappointing. In that vain, the butt stock looks thin under the cheek pad. Strong enough for normal use, but possibly fragile in the field. Or does it have a metal reinforcement at that point?
    Keep up the good work; and thanks for what you do - and how you do it.

    • @Tofazfou
      @Tofazfou  2 года назад +1

      Its ok. Yeah, that mag well measure roughly .660 wide so there is room to fiddle your fingers in there. I really didn't have a problem single loading. I know this is a big deal for many shooters but, I take things easy and sit back and take my time. I just recast those slugs with a softer alloy so we will see if that helps

    • @Tofazfou
      @Tofazfou  2 года назад +2

      For sure. And that exactly my point. We make much less that centerfires and rimfires overall. So even though the caliber is big, it doesn't blow the prey up like people would think. We simply don't have the FPS to do that. It would take much more than we are currently capable of. Many airguns can barely get over 1100 fps and stay accurate. So, our airguns need all the help they can muster even if its a big caliber shooting small game

    The vertical stringing of your group shot with the 82.5 grain hollow point lubed with Bore Butter could be due to over lubrication. You might want to try Lee Liquid Alox instead of the slick and greasy Bore Butter that's basically the old muzzle loader lube recipe of bee's wax and vegetable shortening. Bore Butter's viscosity will also change with time, opposed to the dried film of Lee Liquid Alox which remains consistent indefinitely.

    • @Tofazfou
      @Tofazfou  2 года назад +1

      Dan, Super great info on Bore Butter vs Lee Liquid Alox. I have tons of the Alox and will revisit it. Bore butter is new to me using it on airguns slugs but I've known about it since the beginning of time....lol. Also, I've used a ton of Lee but began an adventure of trying different lubes. BTW, I believe you are right on the Verticle stringing. I now remember that I gobbed some on one of those bullets and the others was just what was on my finger. I will retest.....THANKS

    • @donlange4203
      @donlange4203 2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the reply, Tofazfou... Let us know if your groups tighten up using the drier film of lube. You can put your liquid Alox in a metal pan and set it on a hot plate to warm it for a thinner film of lube, if necessary. Most big bores pushing 700fps don't seem to show any improvement with bullet lubricants, but when you start exceeding 800-900fps, a proven cast bullet lube for powder burning pistols (e.g, Lee Liquid Alox) may keep your airgun bores in better condition during a long shot string. However, if the bullet/barrel interface is over lubed, proper rifling engagement to impart stabilization won't be achieved. Too dry an interface and you're dealing with Pb fouling. One thing I find curious is, Mr. HollowPoint offers a few micro-groove bullet designs (in .357), but I don't think he's ever mentioned lubrication in his videos.
      Regards,
      Don

    You must be a sqared away marine er sumthin cuz ya look a ok to me. Outstanding presence and presentation solid info we all need and interesting methods of demo.. live yer fast check groups and manufacture capabilities .. the pressure differentials and finding those sweet spots that deliver instant death no suffering which is the imminent question for me and sensitive types.... and they taste better without all that adrenaline . And nobody likes picking lead out of there stew and teeth ya know. Blew the eye out of a quail with a snubnose at 80 yards after a famous olympic shooter missed both barrels. Right shot right man right day... I was now a trick shot cowboy on arizonas largest ranch.. I was invited to the colonels house to guard Kissinger and Chase after china accords.. of all my favorite adventures I could share like lion hunting with Hendricks and shooting with Stewart ...I was his armorers mate since 11.. He held the title 24 years at Parry.... no scope ...78 years old ... I'm telling you the truth now... what all this meant to the children of Prescott arizona .... a truckload of free ww2 ammo ... what it meant to me was sore shoulders and a hot running Lyman oress... but if all these adventures nothing turns my crank like PCP... theres no reason for anyone in the city to need anything but. And on the ranch for those 1000 yard knock downs I will stay with uncle Ringos box clip Winchester 1905... Ringonkilled more men than anyone in history in ww2 korea... yeah chosin brother .. and his hawes 44 saved me many a time.. luon around the corner over my head ...boom he gone... you damn well carry a 3-4" magnum pistol on the ORO... the minute you walk out the door you are the prey... they are hunting you... they are ambush specialists.. you have less than a second and you better be fast. And I have a rep for not missing.... I take yer finger off before you get to the gun... try me.

    I want to buy these airgun. I think .30 cal would be optimum for typical "bottle valve" air rifle. Barrel changing is required - .308 Win or .303 British for cast slugs. Next step is valve tune - new valve stem, air intake angles and new hammer - like Harper Patent in Daystate. Lot of work. Sorry for my crappy english, greetings from Poland.

    I recommend you just buy the AEA challenger pro 357. Already you have everything set in the tactical version and you're set. Even shooting at the 900 fps range. It's an awesome gun but heavy. Especially when you got a scope like your'es. Looking to lighten this gun. It's not as beautiful as yours is but the same as in power as yours. Sorry but just saying. Still love you're channel and will keep watching as I subscribe right now thanks brother you're awesome. You ever in the military like SF rangers. maybe 82nd air born second ranger battalion?

    • @Tofazfou
      @Tofazfou  2 года назад +1

      Yes siiiir! You don't need a .357 to dispatch squirrels. I agree. But that's not the point. You know I have guns in all calibers and the 22 is not the end all be all to airguns. Owning a .357 cal airgun ISN"T for guys who worship .22. This gun can go from small game to medium game. I make note of that point on facebook/instagram. But you have to follow me there for tips. A lot of things i say there and not on youtube. Also, were we hunt, it is very common to see a yote cross your path. And a 22 is the last caliber i wan't in my hands when that happens. So as usual, there is a higher point to all of this

      @Gunner-ll1zd 2 года назад

      Gotcha! I don't have Instagram or FB, so I don't follow you over there. Watching the video alone I was just thinking of the cost of 357 for squirrels. Youve even said in an old video big bore is an expensive choice. Frankly most of us airgun nerds have multiple guns. I have 177 cal to 357 cal. Idealing bring a lower cal for smaller critters and a 357 for bigger. If you only have one gun or want to bring only one gun, 100% this setup makes sense.

They’re about $140 and they are more accurate than a TJ barrel. I know you used to TJ Burrell on one of your guns and it shot an awesome group. But you would’ve done the same thing with a Walther. And as far as getting a 4500 psi valve I’ll build you one out of the one you have. It’s simple. Do not buy a new valve assembly hi will modify yours
