    That is beautiful work! It looks like you used thicker gold foil than the usual very very thin gold leaf. How thick is the foil you used?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister 2 года назад +1

      The thickness of the gold sheet,,,
      A postcard-sized gold sheet is about 3-4g.
      That's about the thickness.
      It is about the thickness of a regular paper.
      Heating these metals to a temperature between 260~370°C increases
      the movement of the atoms.
      When pressure is added,
      this causes an electron exchange at the surface between the two metals,
      creating a permanent diffusion bond.
      This diffusion bond occurs far below
      the soldering temperature for either metal (Dhein, 2004).

    Is the camellia oil used so that the silver is protected against
    tarnishing?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister 2 года назад +1

      Camellia oil is vegan oil.
      The reason for applying oil is to delay
      and protect the oxidation of the silver surface.
      A very thin oil film protects the surface.
      After applying the oil, clean it again to finish.
      The camellia oil that I use is safe to eat.
      It is a very good natural oil that is harmless to the human body even
      when the ring is worn on the hand.
      This is the part that a lot of people are curious about. hehe
      Since my work does not have a special finish after completion,
      As a minimum surface protection, it is often finished by applying natural vegetable oil and wiping it.
      Although it is not shown in the video, it is sometimes coated with natural beeswax (honeycomb).
      Beeswax melts easily even at low temperatures (approximately 60-80 degrees) by applying slight heat to it and coating the entire work.
      What I am aiming for is nature-friendly as it is,
      You can see it as a minimum protection work.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister 5 лет назад +2

      Search the term "sterling silver" to learn more.
      When copper is added and alloyed,
      1) The excessively soft silver is moderately strong.
      It is easy to process and strong when finished.
      2) The color and luster become beautiful.
      3) Because there are countless other advantages,
      To alloy without using pure silver as it is,
      It is a basic and important task.

      Are you referring to a large container for pickling?
      It is a stainless steel container.
      Originally, it has a silver luster.
      I often wash with a 3M scrubber~

      Why should I not have K2s?
      In my 28 years of experience
      Because I think it's the most junction

      यह पोटेशियम सल्फाइड है।
      यह सल्फर आधारित दवा है।
      It is potassium sulfide.
      It is a sulfur-based drug.

    Why 95%, i see it in all your videos, .925 sterling silver used to be the standard, I thought there was some reasoning to that, just trying to learn about silver alloys

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister Год назад

      It is difficult to give a simple answer as to why 95% silver is used.
      There are several reasons.
      It is slightly softer than 925, making it easier to forge.

      There are countless ways to make a spoon in the world.
      The method I made is just one of them.
      It is difficult for me to show all the methods of making spoons in a video.

    never light gas torch with a lighter, im calling the police..:-)

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister 5 лет назад +1

      I don't know what that means.
      If I don't use a gas lighter, what should I turn it on?
      This is Korea and all the works ignite in the same way as me.
      And....
      While igniting for 28 years,
      Never was it dangerous.

      @@SilverMeister its just something my oxyacetylene welding teacher used to say to the class. We could use lighters as long as we had no gas in them.... Just the ignition part. I was not really gonna call the police I live in Ireland and we hate the police. Hey I'm only trying to joke with you....keep on makin fine art.
