My wife and I do the White Rim Trail last year in May. Took the same way down onto the limestone rim. Beautiful!!! Absolutely incredible! You never get tired of looking at rocks. Stayed at Airport, White Crack and Candlestick.
Your best video yet for sure!!!! Love Moab, great for jeep and MTB (my profession), keep up the Adventure. Greetings from The Netherlands. 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸✌️🚵♀️
AWESOME! I will be doing this trail very, very soon. I think a great song choice for most of this footage would be "The Last of the Unplucked Gems" by The Tragically Hip.
Editor, I appreciate your mingling of these remote locations with your soundtrack of acoustic Americana music. Inspirational! Could you list the songs/performers and the start-time of each song? I would explore other of their offerings...
I did the shafer trail back in November in a trd pro tundra it was tight but I made it. You do have traffic from both ways I started at the too of the canyon. I came across 14 jeeps coming from the bottom of the canyon. Fortunately I was able to pull over to a recess to let the jeeps pass through. The only tight spot I had was when another tundra passed me coming up from the bottom of the canyon. Next year I'm bringing out the 4runner. Tundra just little to wide. But I did see a big dump truck come flying up from the bottom of the canyon it was no big deal to him.any a great trail. If your scared of heights have someone else drive.
Peter and Carol, we have never been able to get to Moab, even this year we had planned to go but that thing called work sometimes gets in the way!! LOL JK without work we wouldn't be able to do what we do right??? Video of you guys in Moab looks amazing. Please say hello to Dan, Pete and Caroline for Beverly and I
Another excellent video. Thanks guys. Have you ever considered or are you working on a book? Detailing all your amazing locations would be a huge bonus for all of us dreamers.
saw all this when i was a (much) younger man but we walked it. would love to revisit with more mobility and time but unlikely; thanks for sharing your view! edit: love your jeep, i have a silver commander...
10.00. That's the time when you need to have total confidence in your vehicle (and brakes!). captured great and certainly gets the adrenaline flowing!! Don't look down ;-)
How does the increased rim size affect the ability of the tires off road? Just seems like they may not deform as well when aired down and your rims are a little more exposed to damage. Keep up the great content!
It can be a problem on Shafer Trail and Hardscabble. I'd recommend coming down and entering the trail on the Shafer Trail end. You also won't have the sun in your eyes all day.
Rocky Roadtrips - Hi there. We only fly in areas where they are not restricted. The high up shots in Canyonlands National Park were actually shot by Caroline standing on the mountain, not flying a drone. 👍🏻
Moab, oh Moab... there are no words. The red rounded, rocks, soft sand and sage, sun and shade. Moab. A very special place.
I love Moab, it is an amazing place. Nice footage.
Impressive cinematography and music...nice production!!
BREATHTAKING VIEWS , COLORS , SCENERY !
Great to see you Guys (and Gals), living the dream.
my goodness what a rad trail this has to be!
Awesome, thanks for sharing.

Dig it! Utah is awesome.

The Shafer Trail is a must-do trail while visiting Moab! An easy trail, yet scary at the same time.
Maxey - Yes. I just focussed on the trail and didn’t look over the edge too much. 😆 👍🏻

Meant started at the top.

How do you haul everyone, all the gear, AND bicycles?
10.00. That's the time when you need to have total confidence in your vehicle (and brakes!). captured great and certainly gets the adrenaline flowing!! Don't look down ;-)
When you get a chance go back and transverse the entire White Rim Trail, done it myself 5 times in our truck camper.
Wow, just looked up some more information on this trail. We will definitely be checking it out when we get to Moab this spring!
cool!喜欢用JEEP自驾行
Great shots and great music! Are you guys getting a 2nd vehicle? A Gladiator perhaps.😉
Oh ya... the Shaffer Trail, “Pucker Factor #10.” Remember, no texting!
Your videography has risen to such high altitudes, just from a year ago. Well done.
Can you make a video about camera gear + editing tools...
Great video and I'm getting into your channel. Can you tell me the tire and size your using on your jeep?
They are 35s
Hi Guys!
I enjoy watching your channel and hearing about your story’s , but do you guys air down the Jeep when going off the trails ?
How does the increased rim size affect the ability of the tires off road? Just seems like they may not deform as well when aired down and your rims are a little more exposed to damage. Keep up the great content!
Awesome videos by the way!!!
Rocky Roadtrips - Thanks.
I just bought a JK. What are you using for your roof top system?
❤️
lol you can drive Shafer in a sedan, and most of those technical shots are on fins n things
Where do you get the music you use in this video? I want to find the song that plays during the part where you are on the Shafer Trail.
Do y’all 5 travel in one Jeep? Is 4x4 required on the Shafer trail?
I always wonder if you're worried about someone stealing your stuff that you leave out in the open while you go off to hike & bike.
Thankfully we haven’t had an issue so far.
Hi, can you share what is your bike rack setup?
Did you ever have any problems with oncoming traffic on that narrow cliffhanging road?
It can be a problem on Shafer Trail and Hardscabble. I'd recommend coming down and entering the trail on the Shafer Trail end. You also won't have the sun in your eyes all day.
@@tonydematteis5029, That's good to know. Thanks.
You were scarred about driving how bully’s was the people whom cut it
How do you get permission to fly your drone in so many of those locations?
Rocky Roadtrips - Hi there. We only fly in areas where they are not restricted. The high up shots in Canyonlands National Park were actually shot by Caroline standing on the mountain, not flying a drone. 👍🏻
Epic Family Road Trip you all are living my dream...I wish I could get up the courage to sell it all and do what you all are doing.
@@EFRT Theres also tons of BLM land in the area of MOAB that permits drones. Corona Arch area for example.
How many KM are on the jeep now?
darkstar9008 - 190k and about double that if you include towing. 👍🏻
Anybody know the song name? Neither Google nor snapchat yield any results
Awesome video guys! Check some of my 4wd overlanding in Victoria, Australia my home.
