This one is one of my three favorite New Wave 12 singles. The others are Soft Cell "It's a Mugs Game" and Dead or Alive "Brand New Lover", that guitar solo at the beginning! As far as musical religious experiences, it's Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, The Beach Boys Pet Sounds, The Beatles Sgt Pepper, Abby Road -- every Beatles album, for that matter. I agree. Music died thirty years ago when black people started shouting obscenities and racial slurs over drum machines and pieces other people's songs. But this is a new Era of music --- K-pop, which has the creativeness of New Wave of the 80’s. Artists are actually singing again. Every K-pop song is about love. The Beauty of the melodies, the dance choreography, and the women. K-pop is quite a show.

wonderful! this album on cassette got me home safely during a twice weekly hours plus long drive home at 11 pm from graduate school night classes after working all day at my full time job. Long time New Order fan. Love the vinyl!! Had them all.

This song just takes me back to the 80’s. I was working as a techie at my college’s dance/music space on a Saturday night. It think it was 87 or 88 and there was a girl, Judy, who I was in love with but I was too shy to say anything. She knew it and made every effort to make it easy for me to ask her to dance. One night when this song came on, she came over and stood right next to me just waiting for me to ask her to dance. I froze and couldn’t do it. The pain! The pain! Oh, well. Life goes on.

There was another funny scene once where I was setting up the lights for a show and a dj came over to chat with me. He then mentioned something about this “hot chick” he was owing to meet that night. I congratulated him and wished him luck. Right the girl walked past the window in front of us and it was her. He had a big smile on his face and I just wanted to die. The rest of the night I was down in the dumps. Then after work, around 1am, I was sitting in the hallway of my dorms listening to music and wanting to drown my sorrows. The two of them walked past me. They were going up to her room and I was just on the verge of tears. He looked liked he was going to get laid but she sort of gave me a weird look. Well, 10 minutes later he was on his way out with a very disappointed look on his face. I was so relieved. But, I was still too young and naive to realize that time was ticking. She gave me opportunities but I blew them. Ahhh! The 80s.

In 1991 where i am there use to be a cool shop selling loads of used original vinyls..i wished i have tried to hunt New Order on Lp then instead of focusing on discs.🤗

Thanks for listening and for commenting. For the headshell/cartridge mounting, the nuts wouldn't fit on the underside of the cart so I had to reverse screws. Strangely, the instructions that came with the cartridge did say to have the screws like that with the nuts on top of the headshell. But, I have swapped out the cartridge on this headshell and mounted the 440MLb on a Technics headshell and that one was able to have the screws facing downward.

This does sound really clean with minimal clicks/pops. I just barely played this back then since I dubbed it cassette as soon as i got it and didn't play the vinyl.

Why the screws of the shell are in the oder way? Nice video and big track!
Thanks for listening and for commenting. For the headshell/cartridge mounting, the nuts wouldn't fit on the underside of the cart so I had to reverse screws. Strangely, the instructions that came with the cartridge did say to have the screws like that with the nuts on top of the headshell.
But, I have swapped out the cartridge on this headshell and mounted the 440MLb on a Technics headshell and that one was able to have the screws facing downward.
