So glad you’re excited to try it! Let us know how it works out for you. It definitely was challenging at first and took me a couple of tries to get the “muscle memory” down, but once you do, it’s super quick and convenient!
Lovely video. So well explained but your forgot to mention the point on trying to keep awareness on self during the times one is being aware of the reference points outward
Thank you. This was a very interesting topic and one I’ve missed somehow hearing from Dr. Huberman directly. Looking forward to your upcoming content. You have great editing.
Meditation is a core part of my morning routine. But I'd want to try sprinkling STB during the day and see if it helps me feel more centered. Realignment can be a powerful check-in.
Yes! I usually do this right before a Vipassana meditation in the morning, but that’s a good idea. I can do it at random times throughout the day to ground myself :)
Great video and explanation. Also 5 stars on adaptability makes sense even for blind people as someone could pay attention to other external stimuli like sounds that are near and far.
Hey, you! 👋 Are you ok?? You didn't look relaxed at all with that meditation! Mr. Uber's Man is cool but he's always trying to explain everything about anything, and with that subject I prefer to learn with guys that have a little more experience, like .... thousands years more? I love Thich Nhat Nhan videos from Plum Village. Ok, I know it may sound boring but there's no fast food meditation. 🍔x🧘♀️🚫 Now, listen (or just read 😜): close your eyes, relax (I mean REALLY relax) and breath deep and slowly.... hey.... HEY! Wake up, I'm talking about meditation, not sleeping! 😉 👋
Hahahah honestly I was just trying to keep track of the steps in my head! And yes, I personally do prefer longer Vipassana styles of meditation but I think it’s a good way to start for beginners or someone who needs to build back up to longer sits. Thanks for watching and the feedback!
Whitney, hearing your quick little breaths stressed me out! It sounded like you were hiding from an axe murderer. But I got a kick out of you calling him Andy. hahaha I've never heard anyone call him Andy.
Ack I’m sorry it was so distressing! It definitely wasn’t my intention Hahaha I’m just being tongue-in-cheek. I would never call him that to his face! :P
He definitely does not like being called Andy. On an interview, Dr. Huberman shares his childhood experience with the name Andy. Please respectfully do not refer to him as Andy. Otherwise, thank you for your video. It was a great clear and concise review for the STB Meditation. Thank you!
@@thesunnygrove Thanks for letting me know! Can you link me that interview? I’m curious to learn more. Definitely didn’t mean to be disrespectful. And thank you for watching! Glad you found it helpful :)
@@WhitneyChew He's done so many personal interviews & I've tried to find the one where he mentions his childhood experience with the name Andy. Maybe it was this one ruclips.net/video/SwQhKFMxmDY/видео.html. He's also done interviews with Tim Ferris, Joe Rogan, Lex Friedman, as well as others. Hope you can find it. Thank you again for your video! 🙏
This was definitely interesting and very well put together, subscribed!
Thank you for the support!
Awesome
What meditation styles have you tried in the past?
Would YOU try Huberman’s sci-fi meditation?
Probably gonna be implementing this! Been looking for a simple and convenient way to meditate before I start my day. Super awesome!
So glad you’re excited to try it! Let us know how it works out for you.

I tried this but couldn’t get it to stick. Will def try again!
To be honest, it was definitely different than what I’m used to, but like Huberman says, the discomfort is where the growth is! (paraphrased :P)
Thank you for sharing. You did an excellent job describing the steps of STB. I will be adding this to my morning routine.
Thanks for watching! It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but I hope it adds benefits to your life :)

Wow I didn't even think of that! Thanks for sharing!
Great job! Such a good video and valuable for us testing out Huberman’s various protocols.
