I hand raised a grey squirrel. I swear he loved me! But once he got big & strong we released him to a nearby park that families frequented and he fit right in. I knew he would get plenty of food there. We stayed over an hour watching him assimilate into his new family and my husband said call to him and see if he still comes to you. I said “Snickers, come here baby “ he came right up to me and sat in my lap! I will never forget that lil’ guy❤️❤️❤️❤️
And tell me one thing. Did your squirrel look 10 days old at day 35 and then just grew a month in 5 days, and then a year in another 8 days like this one did?? I've only hand raised cats, and their growth rate doesn't look anything like this.

I hand-reared a 4 day old baby rat. His name was Basil. Used human baby formula which is close to rats milk. He had free rein in the house for a year. He went out on his usual garden foray one night and never came back. I like to think he went to Hollywood.

Milk replacer is easily available in market, for baby cats or baby dogs. You can use any, but best one so far for my squirrel has been Pet-O-Lac, no bloating, no loose stool and it makes baby healthy.
My family raised a few grey squirrels when I was growing up. This video brought a lot back. Eventually we released them into our own backyard/neighborhood and they lived out happy lives. We regularly fed the neighborhood critters by throwing peanuts and other snacks on the deck but we could always blow people's minds when they came to visit because while most squirrels were generally afraid of humans and would only eat when we weren't outside, any of those that we had raised would come up and eat our of our hands/hop up on our shoulders.

You can really see how much that adorable female squirrel really loves you. Because she allowed herself to lay down on her back with her belly fully exposed during cuddling. That is a sign of her having unconditional and complete love and trust in you for her to do that. God bless you for taking care of that adorable creature, when you didn't have to. Allowing it into your life and taking over your life due to how often you had to feed it for the first 40 to 45 days of it's life.

This precious baby looks like a chipmunk. I am in awe of someone who raised this baby from day one and had it survive. I have raised a bunch of squirrels and the outcome is not always this good. The younger they are the more difficult the job. Bless you for your patience and the love you gave this baby.
Yeah' I wanted to comment that it looks like more of a chipmunk than a squirrel. Squirrels are bigger than an chipmunk and they don't have stripes. Either way, the person who took the time, effort, care, and love to raise the animal has done a great job. Good on them.
There are apparently a couple different kinds of squirrels with stripes. You can tell them apart from chipmunks because chipmunks have face stripes and none of the squirrels do.
I have raised many squirrels. I have a tree service,so I try to save all animals we come across. They are so adorable and they love you once they open their eyes.
It feels really good to watch this video of the squirrel. I rescued a squirrel a few days back, and took him to the vet, where they said that he has internal bleeding, there wasn't much they can do. They prescribed some liquid medicines. He's suspected to be around 75 day old. I really took care of him as much as I could. He died today morning and I'm really devastated. Beyond. It felt really good to watch this video. Thank you for making these videos and uploading it. May God Bless you abundantly.
There are at least fours deaths for every one youtube video. It's just the way it is. Usually you find out that you've just been feeding parasites. Or torturing an infant. Yeah, it never stopped me either. Some live. The devastation-prone maybe should rescue.
I can only imagine how hard it must have been to wake up on that day and realize one of the squirrels had passed. It was unfortunate his mother had abandoned him, but hopefully he knew that there was someone out there that cared for him in his final moments. Rest in peace little squirrel.

That is funny... I did the same about 25 yrs ago... They are very playful and a lot fun to watch grow up, and they do play just like a cat... I had t teach mine how to climb tree's in the back yard... And I did by tossing her from the roof of the house to the tree... After a few times she had caught on and was climbing tree's like a True squirrel should...
My second dog, a beautiful lovely sheepdog, used to chase them in the local park. We used to joke she wouldn't know what to do if she caught up with one. Then one day s she was chasing one it stopped, turned to look at her, ran toward her and she ran back toward us. When she reached us she turned and the squirrel stopped chasing her and ran, and she chased again. She was quite disappointed when the squirrel eventually ran up a tree and their game ended. Another time we were out, she was on her lead, and a cat strode over, put his face up and as she looked down at him he nose kissed her. She was so happy she danced in circles while the cat looked at her bemused as to her excitement. A truly wonderful, irreplaceable dog but all my animals are. In my twilight years now I look forward to sharing their company and love again. I hope there are plenty of playful animals in Heaven.
I am so touched by this wonderful guy raising this precious baby. It was a huge undertaking just to have to feed the babies every two hours night and day! It takes a very special person to do this. I feed my wild squirrels outside every day and seeing them brings me so much happiness. My one I call Mama has a big white spot on her back and she has been coming to see me for two years now. She gave me a scare just this past week bc I had not seen her and with these few hawks hanging around, I get worried. Well just this morning she showed up to get her peanuts so I am so relieved. I actually saved one of my squirrels from a small hawk last summer by clapping like a lunatic when it swooped down on it in my yard. That actually worked twice but just by luck of course. Now all my squirrels know that when I start clapping, they get outta dodge and start making their cute little warning piggy noises. Anyway, much luv to you for caring for these precious animals ❤
You kind sir are the greatest. I cried and one of the important things I noticed as for all babies is their mother's loving touch of feeling safe, secure and accepted. She saw you as her mother & father. You raised her as your own baby and the love you shared with each other is unbreakable. She loved you dearly as her love for you was shown through her playfulness and sleeping soundly, and feeling safe and secure. I know she will never forget you. You loved & cared for her. You brought life to her. God holds people like you in high esteem when they love and care for one off his little creatures. It is an Indian squirrel, they are a different species than chipmunks found in the Americas
@@robarcool AKA, an Indian palm squirrel. Just looked it up. Very similar to chipmunks. I didn't know this species.
There are apparently a couple different kinds of squirrels with stripes. You can tell them apart from chipmunks because chipmunks have face stripes and none of the squirrels do.

I rescued a squirrel a few days back, and took him to the vet, where they said that he has internal bleeding, there wasn't much they can do. They prescribed some liquid medicines. He's suspected to be around 75 day old. I really took care of him as much as I could. He died today morning and I'm really devastated. Beyond. It felt really good to watch this video. Thank you for making these videos and uploading it. May God Bless you abundantly.

There are at least fours deaths for every one youtube video. It's just the way it is. Usually you find out that you've just been feeding parasites. Or torturing an infant. Yeah, it never stopped me either. Some live. The devastation-prone maybe should rescue.

I can only imagine how hard it must have been to wake up on that day and realize one of the squirrels had passed. It was unfortunate his mother had abandoned him, but hopefully he knew that there was someone out there that cared for him in his final moments. Rest in peace little squirrel.
Maybe the mother died because of a car accident or something else

I raised a squirrel 25 yrs. ago and will never forget the experience. They are no different than a cat or dog . They play like cats .
That is funny... I did the same about 25 yrs ago... They are very playful and a lot fun to watch grow up, and they do play just like a cat... I had t teach mine how to climb tree's in the back yard... And I did by tossing her from the roof of the house to the tree... After a few times she had caught on and was climbing tree's like a True squirrel should...

My second dog, a beautiful lovely sheepdog, used to chase them in the local park. We used to joke she wouldn't know what to do if she caught up with one. Then one day s she was chasing one it stopped, turned to look at her, ran toward her and she ran back toward us. When she reached us she turned and the squirrel stopped chasing her and ran, and she chased again. She was quite disappointed when the squirrel eventually ran up a tree and their game ended.
Another time we were out, she was on her lead, and a cat strode over, put his face up and as she looked down at him he nose kissed her. She was so happy she danced in circles while the cat looked at her bemused as to her excitement.
A truly wonderful, irreplaceable dog but all my animals are. In my twilight years now I look forward to sharing their company and love again. I hope there are plenty of playful animals in Heaven.

I am so touched by this wonderful guy raising this precious baby. It was a huge undertaking just to have to feed the babies every two hours night and day! It takes a very special person to do this. I feed my wild squirrels outside every day and seeing them brings me so much happiness. My one I call Mama has a big white spot on her back and she has been coming to see me for two years now. She gave me a scare just this past week bc I had not seen her and with these few hawks hanging around, I get worried. Well just this morning she showed up to get her peanuts so I am so relieved. I actually saved one of my squirrels from a small hawk last summer by clapping like a lunatic when it swooped down on it in my yard. That actually worked twice but just by luck of course. Now all my squirrels know that when I start clapping, they get outta dodge and start making their cute little warning piggy noises. Anyway, much luv to you for caring for these precious animals ❤

@@sharjeelh.9431 you can feed him warm diluted toned cow's milk made sweet with a bit of sugar and use a clean washed earbud for feeding.. feed him every 2 hours.. feed him every slowly - drop by drop..
