My favourite gear for the year (so far) is the set of 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm 1.8x anamorphic lenses from GreatJoy. But this year I’m enjoying being at a stage in my freelance career, and headspace, where I no longer feel like I need more gear to solve my problems/limitation and I am now more strategic when making any new purchases. Though the NiSi matte box looks pretty tempting 😅
Another great video Flo, keep em coming! I recently bought the Tenba Cineluxe Shoulder Bag in 16" and totally love it. So easy to carry around the town, or switching location for a few minutes. Always hated having to carry the rig in hand or unrigging the whole camera to be able to pack it. This solved so many issues for me and now I'm also strongly considering buying the Peak Design camera straps even tho I never used straps my whole life
Thanks so much!! Those cineluxe bags are so handy! And 100% go for the Peak Design Strap, very hard to back to a normal strap once you start using the PD. Expensive but worth it :)
Hello, thank you very much for your video, they are always very good and useful, I put together my camera kit very similar to yours, and I wanted to ask you how many shims you used with the BMPCC 6K for the Pictor 20-55 and 50-125, I thank you in advance hand. Greetings from Chile!
Hey, what is that Monitor Arm you are using? I can't stand my monitor mount solution and I'd prefer and arm that I can move but this looks like a stable and tillable solution.
@@OfTwoLands Dang, I have the Portkeys. I tried an articulating arm but it was the worst so now I have the beastgrip mini ball... it's okay, but I love the way that SmallHD mount seems steady, simple and has the tilt. Hindsight is 20/20 in the gear world I guess. As always, great video. I'm adding that shoulder bag to my list of gear I want but don't need yet.
Salut, super vidéo bon en anglais, as always great and The DZO is really great was looking for a MFT zoom cine lens as well...one question I have for you...stabilisation with DZO zoom lens? You shoot on tripod but for handheld I suppose Easy rig + in post with FCP😊😊😊
Bonjour monsieur! Cet video awesome. (J'apprends francais lentement), Je suis amateur film maker. Mon channel vlog camera est Nikon Z30. J'ai Nikon lens & camera. Mon autre camera est BMPCC6K Pro. Je habitue en Montreal centre-ville depuis premiere septembre deux-milles dix-huit. I have increased production. Just purchased a Western Digital 8TB SSD. I am just starting to learn how to use the BM6K Pro I bought last year when I bought the Nikon Z30. Thank you for your help, your awesome stuff! Merci beaucoup mon ami, bonne journee. Thanks buddy! Have fun, keep safe!
Here is some of my new favourite gear in 2023 so far.
What is yours ?
Cheers,
Flo
Flo, thank you so much for sharing NiSi C5 Matte Box🥰
No worries at all Ali ☺️ Really enjoying the matte box!
Good stuff as always man! That bag looks great
Thank you!! I love that Tenba, wish I had bought one sooner haha :)
Last year, I picked up a 48" floppy and it was one of my favorite pieces of gear for an neg fill. Really helps to shape your lighting.
100%, very simple but useful piece of gear!
are you using the 16X9 Easyrig MiniMax Camera Support System, 4.4 to 15.4 lbs Load Capacity at 2:49?
I now have both these Pictor lens because of you earlier videos / feedback you gave me. I really love them. I just got the matte box as well!
Congrats mate!! I want to see some Faroe Islands footage 😍
@@OfTwoLands Yes! Headed there next week! 🙂
The floppy is key, neg fill is so important
Really is!

Congrats on your approach ! And I love those lenses too :)
Haha, yes, the C5 is pretty sweet!

Hey, the one I am using most of the time is the one made for this monitor by SmallHD :)

I need something to transport my gear in. But that bag is the same price as the pelican 1535. Which would you choose?
Depends on where you go and how you use it. The Tenba is more practical and easier to carry but the Pelican is sturdier and fully sealed :)

Thank you!! Yes, if I can I pick the Easyrig but I also use them a lot handheld with post stabilisation in FCPX :)

Merci d'avoir pris le temps de la regarder! Glad to be able to help :)

SmallHd is wildly overpriced. A monitor shouldnt cost twice as much as a fullsize ipad pro that has 1 TB of storage.
