I'm reading the manga now and the animation does it no justice. Berserk is one of the most beautiful drawn series I have ever read and it was given the crappiest animation. What a disgrace.
The artstyle in the manga is so detailed it's impossible to have a perfect anime adaptation with the manga artstyle. If it was a 2d anime, then it would take too long to draw every frame of it because it's so detailed. If it was a 3d anime, then the animation is trash.

Man took months to draw out single chapters. its a bit of a shame on how few chapters we got a year because of it but boy did it make the art in the manga legendary in the long run. When the anime looks like it took not even half the effort that the manga did it really feels a bit of an insult Berserk and its Author whether it was intentional or not...

he also has the fairies as healers , but with honestly guts is doing all the roles by himself , he deals the damage he tanks and he doesn't need a healer too much since his will keeps him going all he needs is just a blacksmith to visit from time to time

Based Miura actually wove into his story item degradation. Very few stories see that. It's only ever swords etc in perfect shape or they break, no in between.
I gotta wonder what the hell kind of tree Zodd got that one club from for that one fight. Guts, who's got the Dragonslayer, who's cleaved through not just any metal armor but MULTIPLE armors in one swing... who's shown shortly before as busting through a triple thick wooden door? All that and you mean to tell me a WOOD CLUB is not being smashed asunder by the blows between both Zodd and Guts?!

Its really too bad Miura didn't go through the entire story line with a close friend about 30 years ago. He could totally do a faithful continuation, which up until Miura died, was completely in line with the synopsis he received those 30 years ago. Ah, we can dream.

Shame this uploader ruined it with interpolation though. I can tell where the AI had no idea what to do because it's so jerky and inconsistent.

Shitty animation aside, I did really like the choreography of this fight. It was a welcome change from Guts just chopping things in half.

Sorry about the sound, but i had to cut this scene so much because youtube blocked the video instantly due the ost copyright, that's why i haven't been able to upload all the fights the other solution will be use other no copyrighted music but that wouldn't be good. and yeah that's one of the best scenes :)

I shall try and watch this series for good, as for now I only watched bits and pieces over the net, but the problems I see are many:
The animation is literally 2/3 frames per second sometimes. The interpolation you did helps but it's really painful sometimes.
The camerawork is embarassing. Many scenes you really don't understand what's going on because the camera keeps spinning and moving.
The models look bad (many times). They feel halfway between cel shading, like they did in the movies, and real 3D with questionable textures.
On the other side, I feel that the voice acting is spot on and the music are excellent. Can't say about pacing and fillers yet.
@linkinmetalica You don't understand how cgi movies use camera work do you? With 3d models and 3d landscapes of course there is a camera, otherwise you won't be able to cathch dimesnional properties of the characters in a scene. The camera just isn't a physical one that's all. And the placement of said camera in this show is appaling, it even clips through a cliff face in one episode.

The interpolation helps out a bit with the jankiness, but only slightly

Well now I feel as though the action is too fast paced, everyone complains about how low framerate the show is (never really saw a problem to be honest), but now at 60FPS it all seems to move so fast. (is that a valid complaint, to complain that it seems too fast?)
Maybe because the animations weren't designed for 60fps you think is too fast paced, but no matter what's the framerate Berserk is Berserk as fans we should enjoy it :)

If you peeps really do some actual research, Guts will stand a chance against blonde goku with a greatsword. Heck, the real question is, would Cloud survive the Berserk universe?
Guts' GS has slain thousands of demons and evil entities, that his block of iron exists in both the physical and astral plane. He has the Berserker Armor to buff him even more, and he fought gods, and enemies that would hit a normal human like a train. Of course he would be able to fight Cloud, and defeat him in certain circumstances. Also, why would they in fight the first place? I think they could get along pretty well.

Guts is the better character, but he couldn't take Cloud in a fight.
