Dear GOD, this guy's voice is amazing!! I heard this for the first time on the Voice this week sung by one of the contestants. I went looking for it and found the original singer - and have to say that I liked the guy on the Voice better. Then I found this version by Chris "The Mann" Mann by accident and WOW!! I believe this is how this song is supposed to sound. You don't have to agree with me, that is just my opinion.
I agree, I heard Matt sing this on the voice the other night and search out the original and then I found this and it is AWESOME.

I love the simplicity of this beautiful song. Sometimes, there are songs that are created that will never need more than what has originally been given and this is one of those songs. Chris, you nailed it. Christina is a gifted, talented singer and I have always loved hearing her sing. Saying that, in this song, it seems that she made it about her talent and not about the simplicity of this song’s message. Therefore, I can’t like this song because of the over singing in it. It is always important to remember how to express the message and emotion of a song, if being redone, and to make sure it will compliment the original song or take away from it.

I love your voice in this song so much more than I have heard from others also singing this song. I love the emotion in your voice.
I also appreciate the twist in the song to the potential abuse that this song evokes. (Lyrics suggests: privileged son obsessed with a young daughter of service class (glass blower?)) That is very sad.

I can't agree to those who said that this is better that the original one (Damien's) I would agree though that this is a very beautiful version. Damien's song is still at the top of my sob-fest song for so many years now.
