Yup! In this case I may have been a little too good at sniffing out the hidden treasures. But, it still paid off just with the M Kors.
you got an incredible deal on those myth books...good thing you did get them prior to their ebay book investigations and pricing! I had to laugh when you did a retake of placing more "gently" or better "more gingerly" hahahahaha. Daisy is so cute...I love her little club house she's got going on.

Thanks. The views are actually good now. The problem was that my channel was too diversified with content in the past whereas other channels focused on one thing over and over, particularly sourcing. I bought granny and grandpa for my mother as a Christmas gift years ago! And when I went to pick them up the woman and friend said to be careful!Well my friend that went with me didn’t really take it to heart lol And he let her feet clang together and one of her boots broke!Well it was to late for her to make me another one but she had a pair of them for her, And to help me out she took one off of her own and gave me where I didn’t have to give my mother a broken one, And my moma passed away this last January and I told my brother and sister that I wanted them to keep and they were fine with it !And it makes it where I have something to remember her bye and a great story of kindness that the maker did you me and my mother

A lot of people think that people who resell on eBay are making a mint. They don't take into the account of the time and effort it takes to list and ship items. If they want eBay prices then list them and see how long they stay in your hands. I am dealing with this now more and more and have stopped going to certain company's Estate sales. If a garage sale has eBay print out I turn around and go back to my car.

Thanks for the idea but not gonna happen. First off, we have had two dogs before and it’s just too much work. Aldo, Daisy is spoiled and would get jealous if we got another dog. She has some dog friends she sees. The sax music is for when the lovely ladies find me at the sales lol

Face it, Dom, you did treat the little owl made of dried beans without the care it needed. It was laid flat in the bottom of the box things dripped and then laid gently on top. It really should have been on end, perhaps facing the side of the box.
Also, those dog plushes were virtually free. Daisy would have loved them, especially one at a time for Vet visits and the like. At the same time, others could have been swapped out, to return at other Vet visits. It's her lollipop st the pediatrician's.
I am fascinated by what you find in basements, odd places, high and low. That book set was incredible!
No, Anita, you are wrong. Literally no damage was caused to the owl. The incorrect thing to do would have been what you are suggesting bc if I had it on its side it would have tipped over and broken. By keeping it flat as the first item that prevents breakage from happening. As I acquire items, I rearrange items in the box to prevent breakage. I’ve shown this in many videos. You should know better than to flat out accuse me of mishandling items. As to the plush, I literally showed in the video that Daisy has enough of it. Sheesh.
That box had some random stuff, love the purses, should have kept the Kate Spade with its original dust bag it was in.

Kind of anxious about them, but seems it's just like a yard sale only the whole house. I live in Western Mass, near Umass, and see estate sales advertised. Did you ask permission to metal detect the property? Old military, could have some awesome finds. If not, estate sales are an awesome opportunity. Over this past month, I was able to get two permissions from estate sales that I went to. I just mention that I'm a metal detectorist and if the owner has lost anything valuable or anything that they would like to me to find for them. If they say no, I then ask if I can still metal detect the property before they sell it. HH Matt

@@lauriewilson4741 thanks Laurie. So, for comp pricing it gets tricky because you have be sure you know if the item actually sold recently and not base it off the asking price. Then you need to make sure that the item you have is comparable to the item you are comping it to in terms of condition and completeness. Dealers will be your main customers and for it to work for them, they need to get it at a low price because they have to clean, photograph, list, describe, pack and ship the item and take on the risk if a return. Therefore, as a dealer myself the max I would pay is a third of the lowest current available item on eBay assuming similar condition. Hope that helps

Why would you put the picture on the bottom then not protect it
What picture? The owl? I put it on the bottom initially because that was the only thing in the box. As I move through the house, I re-adjust the items to protect them. I have shown this protection process in many videos. Nothing was damaged at all.
You are killing me! Why don't you just quickly look in the box and offer to buy the entire box if you see a couple of good things? Why waste time looking at everything, especially if the seller just wants the stuff gone?
Chill, lol. Number one, because I am making a video and it is helpful for me to show you the book covers as I am explaining a few things because they are great covers. Number 2, it takes barely any time to do what I did. Number 3, I do not rush away from treasures at my fingertips to go off on a wild goose chase for what may be in the next room. And lastly, I want to look through the items to see if there are any significant flaws such as several wet books, books with badly damaged spines, etc. which I have found before. Patience is key to success.
