Thank you both. It was really interesting to get hear how this board was created. And really loved the look of the buildings - fantastic work, well done Aaron!
I love this. What is best about this layout is the fact that it really does look like Berlin, not just 'a city'. Pre-Covid (and hopefully post-covid) I travelled to Berlin on a fairly regular basis and I'm amazed that Aaron has really created a gaming table that looks and feels like Berlin.
I am sorry, I am a Berliner and it's doesn't look like Berlin. It looks VERY COOL, don't get me wrong. But it has nothing to do with accuracy. It's just some sights placed on a table. The sight are in totally different places, miles away from each other in reality.
@@Aaronfromprojectwargaming Yeah, I understand it's an "abstraction" in some way. And that's totally fine. Just had to mention that Rick exaggerated a bit in terms of "looks like Berlin". The lack of accuracy doesn't take anything away from the nice look and good work though.
We are always thinking about ACW! It's one of our favorite periods of history to game. But we also don't like to spoil our upcoming episodes. It's more fun when they premiere on RUclips as a total surprise!
I also love GHQ models, but my main complaint is how the barrels on the tanks get bent and broken so easily due to the soft alloy. I am hoping that Resin (though still breakable) is a bit more resilient. Either way, I will definitely be ordering stuff from Aaron in the future!
I have begun using a mix of resins that actually makes the models more flexible and almost elimates breakage. I have a couple videos on it. You definitely give that a try.
Do u guys know about epic history tv, its a great channel, they covered the napoleonic wars in a lot detail so some napoleonic videos would be very cool.
I've been 3d printing 6mm scale Warhammer Epic vehicles for a couple of weeks. I've got an FDM printer from Anycubic, wheras I'm buying my infantry online, and I'm finding its detail perfectly acceptable at 0.05mm layer height.
Then you will very much enjoy our Star Wars episode from last Christmas! Check it out! We played the Battle of Endor with Star Wars Legion on a 6'x8' tabletop.
Interesting video, and of course that table looks very cool! With regards to 3D printing ruined buildings though, I can't help but think this could be achieved much cheaper and faster simply placing four flat cardboard walls with cut windows and doors for each "basic" building, and some extra care for special buildings, the Reichstag, etc. If done well it doesn't look cheap and for this scale it would be detailed enough...
Having done it both ways I would say 3d printing is faster. Having to cut out windows is pretty tedious work but yes cardboard would be much cheaper though not as durable.
How can someone like this after only 3 minutes of being released - the video's over 7 mins long! Lol. (Edit: having now watched this, I have given it the thumbs up)
You guys claim to be worried about the decline of historical wargaming, and yet you insist on raising the barriers to entry by requiring the time and space to set up giant miniatures games. Now add access to a 3D printer to the list.
Hah this kind of table is definitely not a beginner project! But in our next main episode coming in about a month we will be taking a turn into "beginner friendly" territory!
Another great video, this kind of stuff is good, the behind the scenes information is always welcome.
Love this video. Great subject, and interview. Thanks for putting this out.
Thanks! Hopefully it encourages a few people to go see what Aaron is working on with his channel!

wow great looking board, Thank you guys for keeping the gaming world alive.

Thanks for that compliment I've never been to Berlin so its good to know I was able to capture it.

@@Moritz19081980 I will certainly agree with you as I've never seen it and the scale is certainly compressed.

You guys should collaborate again in the future! Loving the 6mm stuff as it’s my favourite gaming scale. Borodino next yes? ;)
Wow, splendid and atmospheric table...Superb!
Where is this room that these games get played in?
Our club is located in Pennsylvania.
Wow Aaron, amazing job. I just got my first printer. You are an inspiration.
Thanks
are you guys thinking about doing any acw soon?

Austerlitz or something like that would be 😍😍😍😍.
Suggestion noted!
Could you do the sinking of the Bismarck plz ?
As a matter of fact...yes! That is very much in the pipeline here.

We love Epic History TV! Their videos are fantastic. And don't worry--we have plans for more Napoleonic action!
@@LittleWarsTV thats great seeing the fact, that i was watching their 1814 video while i saw your notification.

Where can I find the barrier list you write about?
@@LittleWarsTV That sounds good. Looking forward to it.
@@thomask4552 It's in the Wargamer's Field Manual on Barriers and Obstacles. I can't remember the manual number.
