AndrewChicken realizing that a point tank’s role isn’t about racking up kills or damage numbers, but about creating space and holding objectives. The primary focus is on using your shield to protect yourself, your teammates, or to make space for your team to push. If played well, you can peel effectively for your allies. Terminus lacks the utility required to be a proper off-tank and isn't well-suited for that role. His best option is the Crush talent, but it's generally considered weak, often leaving Terminus vulnerable and resulting in more deaths. This ability to "peel" for teammates, protecting them from enemy aggression, is crucial for a point tank. When played as a point tank, Terminus can make the most of his close-range damage output while minimizing his weaknesses against ranged opponents. This positioning also allows him to build up Calamity Charges more effectively, enhancing his overall impact in team fights. Terminus struggles to chase down enemies with high mobility due to his own limited movement options and reliance on a short-range melee weapon. His axe, while capable of dealing significant damage up close, has a relatively low Dps compared to other champions' weapons, making it difficult for him to secure kills on fleeing targets. This lack of chase potential further cements his role as a point tank rather than an aggressive off-tank. Terminus lacks the damage output or utility necessary to engage in fights aggressively, which is often a key aspect of off-tanking. His abilities are more focused on defense and area control rather than initiating combat.
I've recently been playing a lot of speed terminus, and I've had tons of fun. Not as much as my Immortal Raum build or maybe my scorch nando, but he makes me feel what I felt back in old overwatch with Reinhardt. This video help show that its not a bad pick and I've been playing term correctly
In the past week, i've been dealing with lag issues in SA server. Since X is no long a thing in Brazil, I wonder if other people have this problem or if it has been addressed to hi rez
I got a friend that dislikes to play tank because he is an OW player and apparently tanks in that game are trash, i Guess thats one answer? That or people being stubborn to being a one-trick
@@GorillaField All of the tanks (other than terminus ofc in terms of stats at least) are great in paladins for somebody good with them. You see them get a bunch of kills all the time.
@@GorillaFieldTanks in Paladins hit like damage/flank hell if you give a tank a pure tank like build they hitting as much damage and getting a crap ton of kills like a damage/flank role. The supports the same way too so when it comes to tanking and healing in Paladins vs OW, you can't compare the two and this coming from someone with like 200+ hours in OW
The only thing keeping term from being the best frontline in the game (at least from what I've felt in my like 2 games playing him in the last year or so) is if your team isn't good or smart enough to use the space you create properly theres absolutely nothing you can do but lose.
That's the issue for any tank in any shooter. You can make space as big as the Grand Canyon and they still won't utilize that space but blame you if you die
Sometimes you gotta make space but keep an eye on your teammates bc if they don’t capitalize on it then just fall back with them bc they’re not playing as aggressive as you.
I was like you in years ago. Played a few rounds and gave up after a few matches. I dropped the game and tried others. When I gave this game another try, I came to realize it was my lack of learning mechanics and fundamentals was my issue. Paladins is easy, yes, but learning the fundamental of like scouting the map to know good los (line of sight) to attack enemies from, building load outs, knowing with items to buy, etc would carry you a long way
If you don’t enjoy the game mechanics then I can see why you wouldn’t like it, but Paladins has so much replay value once you understand each mechanics and what they do you will always have fun
FINALLY HE PLAYS TERMUNIS!!!!! Thank you
termunis?
@@goofyahhNerdsabelotodo yea terminus
Yes was thinking the same! 👍👍

Andrew is like a sweet sweet dog

Tbf tank kill potential is kinda bad in paladins

I have to say, it is surprising how many times I have gotten top damage on my team or close to equal damage to a damage champion while playing tanks
It’s about time to find a new haircut 😂
Yeasss terminusss
