I’m blessed to live near Dearborn, Mi which has a large ME community…shops, restaurants…I’m definitely going shopping there this weekend- I’m saving your video to show so I don mess it up😁💜💜💜
Hehehee! ❤ Do ask them to sample burn them for you so you can choose the one you like, Most of these shops do burn them for sampling purposes. Happy Shopping!
Very elegant lady very well explained. Here in Canada I found bukhour Oud Al khanger very very nice and like the lady explained even on clothing smells last and is very balanced and pleasant. Little advice try using natural coals ( like coco Nara ) instead of the self litting one the burning is slower and really releases the most aroma
Simi hi… I know it’s months later but just finding this video… I’d love to see more about your culture. I just learned about Middle Eastern fragrances last year and I am obsessed 🤩. Thanks for sharing your refreshing to watch and I enjoy your bubbly personality fantastic after crazy busy work day ❤ 10:50
Heya hun ❤ Thank you so so much! I wish to always keep you entertained and bring you quality content ❤ I am planning on doing a lot more videos on lifestyle, traditions etc etc soon.
Thank you 😊 I love bakhoor in my home. Thank you for your recommendations. I ordered some Al Haramain bakhoor and insense. Waiting impatiently for my order to arrive. For me, nothing is more relaxing than burning fragrance in my home. Blessings to you, and keep close to the angels 😇 ❤
I am so excited for you to receive the Bakhoors ❤ Al Haramain has one of the best quality Bakhoors ever! And I so agree with you. I have electric burners and oil burners but the Bakhoor hits different when it is burnt on the coal. And yes, I do feel like my house is cleansed after ive done it ❤❤❤
Nooooo. Lol. You made me laugh so hard babe. Febreze is awesome too! But you will definitely find the Bakhoor addictive in a different way. Big hug! xx
I'm late, BUT I just received a small bakhoor burner and I LOVE IT. I'm very particular about how my home smells so, apparently, this small one alone won't do. More ME fragrance/ custom videos would be nice! ❤From TX.
Definitely share more middle Eastern customs. I love Dubai every time I travel there and have always been curious about your customs. Watching from Ghana
Hello my lovely friend from Ghana! I will for sure. The traditions are very diluted due to a mix bag of people from all across the world that dwell here. Nevertheless, they are beautiful and I will hare them with you soon :) ❤❤❤
Love bakhoor and resins, I like the Swiss Arabian pieces of wood got all three different bags, oudh nasaem by nabeel also the wood pieces and the compressed wood dust cubes. I use charcoal sometimes but other times I use tea light candle warmers or electric warmer for less smoke. I have several mabkharas.
Hi Simin....thank you so much for sharing your middle eastern scents knowledge and experience with us it's so calming and relaxing to just watch you on your recommendations and reviews 😊......I would love to have a vast collection like you one day....but on perfumes I think I can try because even some online stores do have a few selection but the home perfumes can't seem to find them😢...if you could please recommend maybe an online store one can buy from or maybe have some giveaway competition as well for those like me all the way from South Africa😊....love your channel so much❤
I pray that one day you have all the perfumes your heart desire my beautiful hun ❤ It is a great idea to host a Giveaway on my Channel. I will try and make it a monthly thingy. Also, let me see what stores carry the home fragrances in SA.
I love being a member of the "Sim Squad"!! I follow her and another fragrance reviewer who lives in Zimbabwe. But she has an extensive collection of fragrances and may be able to help you find suppliers in South Africa. I traveled to Cape Town about 26 years ago. I was not into fragrances the way I am now. I would love to return but I am much older and not able to make such a long journey. I hope you are able to contact the reviewer in Zimbabwe. Her RUclips link is: www.youtube.com/@CeeChroniclesTalkingScents I usually watch her and Simin's videos back to back. I rarely buy a perfume without watching their reviews first.
That's so nice. I love to burn that frankincense on charcoal together with bakhoor. I understood from an other person dokhoon is for the person, like the hair and clothes and bakhoor for the house? I need to get rid of bad energy sometimes so nice to hear you telling about attracting positive energy. The bakhoor what I don't like to burn, I use it in my vacuumcleaner to give it a nice smell
Yes my hun, you are absolutely right. The sticks (Dukhoon) is for yourself, clothes and the house as well, but Bakhoor is made with cheaper materials and is best suited for the house. Dukhoon's woody base gives out a semi sweet smoke that makes the clothes smell oh so good! ❤❤❤ Ooooooh that is such a great idea! I will start doing that as well coz I have some Bakhoor I am not too fond of lol
Aww bless your mon. I am sure your home smells heavenly. Bakhoor is basically just burning something on coal to give it that smoky quality ❤ Do try it ❤
Sim, I want you to talk about your hair cover. Tell us about what it is like in the UAE. I know that tourism is encouraged, but I notice the veils are much more attractive there. :) One can be respectful and fashionable at the same time, no? I've seen you wear a beautiful lace over your hair.
Hey my hun ❤ This is such a nice comment to address. Thank you for being so respectful ❤❤❤ So usually, a headcover is called a "Hijab" and a person who wears it a "Hijabi". There are two reasons people wear it. Religion and Tradition. A proper Hijab is when you cover all your hair and none is visible. I dont consider myself a Hijabi. I wear it because it makes me feel comfortable and I feel like myself. It reflects my identity. Dubai is a hub for absolutely beautiful Hijabs and Abaya (Dress) and everyone wears it in different styles, some traditional black ones and others more colorful ones like mine. You are absolutely right, one can indeed be respectful and fashionable at the same time ❤ My beautiful hun, have a fantastic day ahead!
@@SiminShaikh I love this. I know about hijabs and niqabs and all manner of religious dress, but I resonate with your choices. They feel authentic. I grew up wearing a lace mantilla and when my grandmother died I inherited beautiful ones. They are Italian though the family was originally from Spain. I just really love the lace. I notice women in the UAE are not required to cover every last hair. I think I like this because the head covering is for God or Allah, not for men. I hope that isn't a terrible thing to say to you. But not to tempt men isn't a great reason to cover our heads. To be respectful of the divine is a reasonable choice. Thank you for answering my question!
YES!!! I used to buy Bakhoor from a wonderful woman in Yemen, and I don't know what happened to her, but I used to smoke all of my belly dance belts and clothes in the fragrance.
Darling Som I would love to see more of these videos. I want to start using these burners so your recommendations and help with how they work is great! Xxx
Hi I purchase the Al Harramin Noor and it’s a lovely scent but I can’t smell it after a day in my house. Can you recommend a oud bakhoor that last for a while. I bought some cheap stuff on Amazon that lasted for days but did not smell great so I’m looking for something else even if it’s expensive.
Yes, i would like to know more about traditions. I like bukhoor and i burn it at home. Please, can you tell something about bukhoor by brand Ard Al Zaafaran?
Anytime my hun! Oh yes, the burners are the easiest to find. You can find many on amazon (search Oud burners) and you can choose one that suits your interiors or your fancy ❤❤❤
Hello beautiful, I enjoyed this video so much! I am currently burning Lattafa Raghba bakhoor. What is your #1 favorite bakhoor/dukhoon that you have listed on your Amazon Storefront?
