The good part of this video is that you described all the other bound flights too… cheers on good work
Glad you liked it! I'll try to add more of it in future videos
Yes, I really enjoyed watching the other flights takeoff with the names mentioned next to each 😊 thank you.
Its going on its first international flight on may 1st from DEL-DXB
Yes! Any plans on flying that route? I might try towards the end of this year.
Chennai airport looks like bus station compared to Bangaloru airport
🥲 wait for my next video
Air India? There is something about the way you look tonight….take my breath away….
Air India: "There was a time, I was everything and nothing all in one" 😄
Flew on it from Mumbai to Chennai, it's on a league of its own!
Indeed! Waiting for your trip report.
@@flightTribune just finished editing it, will upload it today evening :)
Fly internationally to enjoy these wide body's aesthetics and experience. Domestic routes are a waste of time, for these beauties.
@@s.jdutta4025 you're right but that can only be done when these planes start flying internationally. This is a completely new aircraft, one for which pilots need to train and obtain hours of flying so that they can be certified to fly the plane out of the country. Until then, they have to practice flying the aircraft only domestically.
Superbly shot and presented and that inlay of flights near by was really good way to present it.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for your kind words :)
Amazing video, liked and subbed!
Thank you so much for supporting a new channel! Your encouragement means a lot to me! 🙇♂️ More content coming your way!
I can imagin that outside heat.and humidity.
Excellent Shot!
You encouragement motivates me to keep creating. Thanks you!
Well done , Best Wishes from Canada!!
Thank you very much! 🍁 Sending warm wishes right back to you from India! I'm glad you enjoyed the content. Canada must be stunning this time of year!
Its a magnificent one❤ travelled to bangalore from Mumbai.. gigantic ..hope they maintain it or will end up like kingfisher!!
or like Jet Iarways 🙈
We can hope that with Tata's experience from running Vistara and Singapore Airline's investment, the new Air India will become world class once more.
Seems landing at Banglore was heavy. Too much rattling sound up on main landing gear touch down. But the aircraft, Seats and Floor looks new and very neat.
Interesting observation. While I didn't notice the landing being notably heavy, I think the rattling sound might be coming from the toilet. ruclips.net/video/elkHT1Ef6AE/видео.htmlsi=MdcPlQOMxB1gsxpo&t=571
It was making excessive noise during taxiing too.
I'm not sure if this is typical for A350s. I didn't experience the same thing on my Virgin Atlantic A350-1000 flights.
Amazing vlog mate
Appreciate the quality
I remember Air India CEO saying they will be taking new deliveries almost every 6 days in 2024
But except is A350 have they taken any, I havent seen a single plane in the new livery
Thank you for the encouragement!
Today, Air India received its 5th Airbus A350-900. When Mr. Wilson mentioned a new aircraft arriving every 6 days, he was including Air India Express too, which is adding three new planes each month. Meanwhile, Air India continues to receive new narrow-body planes in the old livery, with VT-RTZ likely being the last one. The first narrow-body plane featuring the new livery, VT-RTN, should be revealed soon.
So great to see wide body jets for domestic travel in India
Yes, but unfortunately it's only temporary
Whats the use of spending such an amount on a 350 and using it for 50 minute flights? This plane should be used for 15-16 hour flights.
You are right, using an A350 for a 50min flight doesn't make sense.
But it is the norm that when a new aircraft type enters the fleet, it is not directly sent for international operations. The cockpit crew needs to operate the flight domestically to gain some experience with the plane and familiarise themselves with it.
Air India put their first A350, VT-JRA into commercial service on January 22, 2024. And as we speak today on May 1st Air India A350 will be making its appearance on international route for the first time, will be operating as AI995/996 and will depart from Delhi daily at 20:45 and arrive at the Dubai International Airport at 22.45. More routes possibly as far as SFO will commence soon using the 6 new A350s
This is a training flight for the pilots and cabin crews
You should read the DGCA rules first before commenting....
It's a layover at Chennai 0:35
Wish they could have operated it on Delhi kolkata sector too
Excellent Service Like 👍 Emirates
Indeed, finally we have a full service Indian airline that can take the fight to the middle eastern giants.
Emirates in your dreams only. This is Desi airline
@@surpotel8016 yesss saaar how can our indian airline be good. licking uae butttt. yummy
@@sidv4615 difference between beef and vegetable. That is why many Desi go to holiday in UAE to eat beef
350 km traveling using international plane wow 🤩❤😂.
Yes, must be one of the shortest A350 routes 😅
Air India is using the A350s on domestic routes for a limited time while the crew gets used to the aircraft. This means there's only a short window to experience flying on this new plane within India.
Air India will fly the plane internationally soon. Since A350 is new for Air India, it takes some practice for flying a new type of airplane international long haul
Thanks to stupid norms by DGCA, that doesn't allow a first time inducted plane model in the country to fly international. It has to serve 6 months of domestic flights first. IndiGo did a smart thing by ordering their A350s after Air India, as they will not have to go through this, only the airline which inducted a model, which is the 1st to the country has to do such norms. IndiGo might've saved a lot as such short routes for widebodies cost the airline much.
Fairly new to flights. I have only experienced A320 and the neo320. Compared to that this to me looks like a mama bear. Those who have experienced the new 350, how is the takeoff? Specifically g force. As you may have guessed by now, I have always been kind of nervous during takeoff because that force freaks me out a bit😅. Considering 350 is bigger, is the takeoff much more smoother? Again, very new to flights.😅😅.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Aviation!
You are right, large airplanes have more mass, therefore, accelerate slower. Slower acceleration can result in a lift-off that feels smoother. Although a lot depends on the weather conditions and the runway.
Wish this was on the Delhi Toronto route instead of the broken, ancient 777’s
Hopefully soon. But isn't Air India using the ex Etihad 777 on that route?
@@flightTribune I have flown that route quite a few times and the 777 is usually in terrible shape, with often the tray table damaged so you have to support it yourself.
I would assume that ex etihad planes can’t be that bad, but who knows.
@@abcdqwerty3562 so I looked up, and you are right. They got six Ex Etihad 777-300ERs, which serve Heathrow flights from Delhi and Mumbai and Mumbai Newark. Unfortunately Delhi - Toronto/Vancouver are still being served by the older Air India 777-300ERs.
They also got five ex Delta Boeing 777-200LRs, which serve US flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru.
almost nothin changed for other Air India flights ... still waiting...
True, long way to go.
Was it a hard landing or washroom rattling ?
The washroom 😅
What is the point of using A350 on the Chennai Bangalore route 🤔
pilots gaining experiences and flight hours on the new type
@henryshen5445 is right
Sir, How to know the model number like A 320 neo.
Hello, to find out aircraft model and destination I use www.flightradar24.com/
Great Stuff, no offense but the video style and content looks similar to The Layover Animation, do something unique, but love the content, Have Fun❤
Thank you! Yes all my content is heavily inspired by Layover Aviation, only difference being I mostly cover domestic routes that he doesn't cover. But yeah, I'll try to create something unique.
#Thelayoveraviation 😂 same🇮🇳😀
Yes, big fan and heavily inspired by Layover Aviation 😄
Excellent video! Greetings from Thailand!
Thank you so much! 🙏 Greetings to you from India! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the video. Thailand is such a beautiful country, I hope to visit someday!
Is the crew back in their old uniforms?
Yes, I also expected to see the new uniforms. But some people who are familiar with the situation mentioned that the new uniforms have issues, like comfort and the color fading quickly. I guess Air India will probably consider these feedback on the uniforms before making them for all crew members.
No earphones were provided, Vistara A321 have similar IFEs, and they provide earphones.
And to top it off luggage of several passengers were left behind.
Its a problem of Garbage In Garbage Out, a masterpiece plane in the hands of an airline with disastrous operational performance will not mean much.
Oh wow, sad to hear this. Which sector was this?
How much was the ticket including meal
Hello, the tickets were INR 1.5k. Meals are included in all Air India tickets.
Nice to know AI has these nice Airbus, please cancel all Boeing aircrafts.
Can you cover a northeast route other than Guwahati?
Okay, any suggestions?

The new Air India livery designed by Tasneem Ali seems to deliberately avoid anything that would say INDIA for India's so-called flag carrier. The old red chakra design on the tail instantly said INDIA like other flag carriers -- Alitalia, Air France, Qantas, British Aiways, American Airlines, Singapore Airlines, China Airlines, Garuda etc. This is no longer true for Air India, sadly.
What is going on in Air India with these wide bodied aircrafts? They should press them into international routes immediately.
Lots of Indians (including my sister just last week) are flying to Doha / Dubai, onwards to big cities worldwide.
Foreign airlines are eating cream and the Einstein's of air India are still testing domestic routes 🤦🤦
True, Air India really has a lot of work to just keep up with the big airlines from the Middle East. Adding new planes and overhauling the existing ones is just the beginning.
Since Air India hasn't used A350s before, they'll start by using them on domestic flights to train their crew. It's been reported that Air India's first international flight with an A350 will be from Delhi to Dubai starting May 1. Hopefully, there will be more international routes soon.
