Hey, nice video !! I own the MiniFuse 1 (as well as many other products from Arturia, which I love), but this audio interface has a fundamental flaw. When the computer (Mac Mini M1, but the same happens with Intel and also with PC) goes into sleep mode or hibernation, the USB connection gets interrupted, and every time you have to manually disconnect and reconnect the cable for the system to recognize the interface again. Surely, this could be quickly resolved in a firmware update, but despite numerous reports, Arturia has downplayed the issue. Another less bothersome thing is that the LED on the volume knob is always on. It cannot be turned off, so if someone uses the interface, for example, in a bedroom, they will have a blue glow throughout the night from the device.

Thanks for watching! I have not ran into that issue myself as I dont have my laptop going into sleep or hibernate modes, I only have the screens power down and charging is in a power saving for charging. Its not in my bedroom either, and I have my Keylab MKII in Vegas mode for the lights when Im not using it.
I can see how the lights would be an issue if I were sleeping in the same room though for sure.
I guess every device has its flaws.
Take care and stay safe! :)

Have the M1 Pro and the minifuse2, don’t have that issue. Maybe only on the mini fuse?

I have this exact issue with the focusrite 2i2 and it is the only reason I was looking for a new driver, but the issue only started when I got a new laptop so I thought that was the problem. But this interface has a separate power supply option instead of the phantom power via USB right? So shouldn't that solve the issue (albeit with a workaround)?

Para não desconectar, você pode ir na bios da sua máquina e deixar a alimentação USB de modo permanente, mesmo que sua máquina entre em suspensão ou hibernação.

The toughest choice is between this VS Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th gen. Especially if you use iPad. Scarlett 4th Gen has impressive stats for it's inputs (for a greater price), but the Minifuse has some features that are really helpful. Like being A USB hub. Minifuse vs Scarlett gen 3, Id go for the whatever extra features you need in your setup. Strange how only guitar people talk about Xtone Pro and it's never mentioned by people who record voice and other instruments, even though it has better stats, than the 2Input versions of Minifuse and Scarlett gen 3, brags about latency and you save $140 for not buying midi-foot-switches, thoughts? Maybe because it only comes only with that Bias FX essentials for iOS only and BIAS has a very unfortunate monetizing model only some soulless suit could have come up with? All of them have two amps, no matter if 2 or 4 inputs anyway.

is the minifuse control center not for low latency monitoring? wouldn't you use that?

Hi. thank you for the video. I have one question: have you tried to plug electric guitar or bass to 3 or 4 inputs on the back? Can these inputs be use to record guitar or bass and (I guess using the trim knob in control centre) achieve some usable input gain level for these passive instruments? This is very important info to me. Thanks in advance. Btw: on other videos about this unit I have seen that switching 48v in the control centre result in changing the light on the interface so it was synced perfectly.

You could def record guitars with inputs 3 or 4, though the levels will be really low. You can increase the level in the control center but I'm not satisfied with the audio level. If I'm plugging in through the back, I just use a gain pedal going in or you can increase the gain afterward in your DAW

@@justingomez8315 Yeah, I learned that too. Any pedal with true bypass will help to bring it up to the line level and also change the buffers so it match. Also going from any line out from the guitar amp will do the job :)

This is a non related request. I am a windows 11 + cakewalk user. I build my performance tracks with midi files and then convert to audio stems. I am thinking about moving to the mac os and I know the headache that my lie before me in converting window cakewalk files to a mac and using studio one. I am looking for advice on the process to get this done.

Is the sound quality upgraded from the minifuse 1 and 2? I only have regular USB 3, will it work?

Minifuse 1 and 2 have the same preamps as the 4, it’s just how many ins and outs are there.
USB 3 works perfectly as well as USB 2

i want to be able to have two guitars playing live and have both players have their own headphones, can this unit do this, itlooks as such, i got the focusrite scarlette 2i2 thinking it would do this, because its in the god damn namn......but not quite.

    • @Mirchitunes
      @Mirchitunes 2 месяца назад

Yes, you can by using the Minifuse Control Center. For example:
      1. Add Analog Input 1 to Channel pair 1 & 2. This will be routed to the first headphone and also on output ports 1 & 2 on the back.
      2. Add Analog Input 2 to Channel pair 3 & 4. This will be routed to the second headphone and also on output ports 3 & 4 on the back.
You can also more the mixer setup. For example add inputs 3 and 4 to both channel pairs, or do other fancy routing such as adding USB channels 1&2, 3&4 or 5&6. There are some limitations to this device. For example, only inputs 1 & 2 can be controlled using the knobs. You have to use the control center to change levels of other inputs.

    So, what about the Loopback?

Works great. Anyone who knows what loopback is will know how to use it, so I didn’t bother with it in the video.
