It also sometimes crosses over into hafted weapons (pole-arms) territory, usually occupied by weapons such as naginata and nagamaki. Just like in other parts of the world (like, for instance, Europe), the spear/pole-arm - and its tactical use - kept its vital role up until the 20th century. For good reason! 😊
