this is classic Esam Zero antics. Esam makes Zero look touchable. Loses. Makes funny faces at Zero. Zero #NoshitsGiven. Everytime they play.
It really amazes me how strong ZeRo is in this match up despite not being known(to my knowledge) to have any top level Pikachu practice(maybe Nakat?) while ESAM himself has lots of Diddy practice from Florida including MVD and many other Diddy Kongs. You'd think ESAM would at least take ZeRo to game 5 when he's beaten every other Diddy Kong. But i guess ZeRo's Diddy is just that broken.
BlackDeathBlade If you keep winning the neutral by player skill the MU doesn't count to much as they can't do shit if they can't win neutral or hold stage control
That didn't save him when he lost to Prince Ramen.
Apparently Anti keeps him in good practice, I've never seen his Pikachu so idk
BlackDeathBlade Before the match one of the commentators told us that ZeRo had practice with Anti for a few hours
ESAM is getting outplayed. It's just that simple
I still can't believe how good ZeRo is at Diddy's bad matchups.
Diddy/Pikachu is even.
Maybe
Pika cleanly beats Diddy. ESAM's neutral is just wack. By nature, it occasionally works well, but ZeRo's solid play acts as a very fundamental countermeasure. It's frustrating to see how much better ESAM's neutral was at, say, SSC 2015, where he was consistently outplaying ZeRo in the neutral and should have won the set. Ah well. Landing dair isn't a viable mixup.
Pizza Shark Since when has pika/diddy been not even? I don't think it's even a debate at this point in time. Diddy has better neutral but Pika has a better offstage so it's always a tossup.
Pizza Shark also, ssc 2015 was pika/sheik, where sheik definitely won the mu
11:48-11:50 Incredible
ESam, at least you got some nice combos. That first stock on dreamland was crispy.
*some nice 'taunt to get bodied' combos. This is exactly what happened at Shine 2016. Esam is still dope tho.
Eric Shelton except Esam didn't take a single game at Shine
+gameandflogchannel Exactly my point. He taunted a lot and got 2-stocked two games. Regardless, my point is, he usually loses subsequent to taunting, and then tries to joke around when he gets his ass kicked to play it off. And usually when he wins, he's pretty cocky about it (in my opinion)
+gameandflogchannel he won game 1 of WF...
Smash Nintendo great, kudos to him. he's never beaten zero in his Smash career tho, set-wise, my point is that he should stop tainting
80% of the reason I play Pikachu: ESAM
20%: it's pikachu.... who wouldn't?
Im glad to know esam COULD have won this game with the way he played... Maybe a civil war ecounterment would have given esam the edge lolol
Tman Goodguy smh you misspelled the ledge* options Esam didn't have, It's hard to beat ZeRo in the neutral I can only see Raito actually contesting him in the neutral not that ladder stuff, gimps or KO moves
He's referring to the Civil War advantage where ZeRo and Ally were clearly having a lot of mental pressure put into them and ESAM scoring the win against Ally because Ally wasn't ready for Samus or the rest of the tournament.
BlackDeathBlade it was a joke...
Blank Zone youre awful at delivering jokes buddy.
Also awful at creating them... Your joke totally went over my head :(
At least Zero showing some respect to Esam by not playing Persistent Blade
This just shows how solid and safe Diddy's kit is. With a generally safe and strong neutral based player, he is just ridiculous. Command grab, projectile, banana confirms, down tilt confirms, 50/50 up air throw combo. OP? Not sure, but very solid.
When I think about Pikachu's kit, while it has its strengths, personally I feel like it's lacking compared to Diddy (kill power and confirms).
Diddy´s kill power is air over the stage or a perfect combo of bannana smash or downtilt smash in other case diddy can´t kill
There's a correlation between Esam's performance and how many uthrow thunders he hits
Always nice to see Zero take the game seriously
9:10-9:12 Monkey Flip to wave bounch nuetral B cancel to grab
DAMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNN
Remember when they Smash Wii U would be shit?
If pika ever gets the smallest buff in kill power esam will rule the world.
BloodLegaZ Its true. I dont think it will happen though
BloodLegaZ Not that he really needs one.
Why's S4 only playing with 2 stocks?
Knockback, absurd recoveries and different ledge mechanics
Zero is rei (bay XD that's what it sounds like in Japanese anyways)
esam is good, its just pikachu is bad , he needs a different character
Esam blew that second game :(
All of These diddy confirms are so ridiculously easy to perform... For me, it´s just disgusting to watch. It´s pretty much banana into whatever you want, be it a grab to get insane amounts of damage or just one of his incredibly unfair up or F-smashes with almost no ending lag whatsoever.
Esam is just bad guys relax ..after many years of facing zero he can't beat zero smh even luhtie and a Ryu main killed zero come on people wake up
chickenwing809 he beat Ally at Civil War so he makes progress
Luhtie beat Zero when he was nervous and not in a good state of mind. he said after that game that they've played before and he's never won Zero
What if Luthie had just luck or Zero just played bad?
TheDocaldi that's pretty much what happened. Zero was at his worst in terms of mindset because he was so nervous
chickenwing809 Flukes. That's why ZeRo lost to these people.
But one win/loss proves nothing. Though Luhtie beat ZeRo Luhtie obviously isn't better than him (ZeRo is still the best in the world).
And Esam... Well, placings.
Luhtie: consistent top 100 at majors (not sure though)
Esam: consistent top 35
ZeRo: relatively consistent top 5.
These losses of ZeRo's mean nothing.
People joke a lot about brawl but i have more fun on brawl than wii u
