@@GlobalOutcast Yes, I can understand him well too, but some non native English speakers who aren't that good at English would struggle to understand. The final rap part (not only on this song, but on others too) contains less words and uses simpler words, so these people have a better chance of understanding.
The first ever song i listened of Linkin Park was "A Place For My Head" (the first ever original w/ chester's vocals) from then on i was obessed with lp's songs. This song taught me my self worth and ability to stand against the wrong people.. Thx LP.... LOVE U LOTS!!!! KEEP IT GOING.... 😎😎😎😎😍😍😍😍😁

@@juliusadvincula7576 In the aztec culture, the moon in considered as one element that unifies all the others. Aztec people used to sacrifice people for the moon because they believed that the moon gave them health and pece.
So, maybe chester wrote that line saying that he was sacrificing parts of himself and the moon was giving him health for that.
So the Aztec moon heated his room for sacrifice and healed his wounds as he say.
That's my interpretation.

However, I just want to point out this lyric wasn't written by Chester. The Xero demo (also featured in the HT:20 release), featuring Mark Wakefield, uses the exact same lyric, meaning it was written before Chester was introduced to the band. This means that it was most likely Mark or Mike who wrote the part.
Perhaps Mike remembers who wrote it and what it means, someone could ask him on his stream (I personally only watch replays and therefore can't ask a question).

Yes, there is! This is the first version, close to Xero's version, but with Chester already. There's another one before the final product

to this day I will say that this is the greatest opening intro to a song ever the guitar riff is so amazing and it's even better in the demo. However this demo sounds really rough. I'm just not feeling this one and I'm glad they changed it. However this does showcase Mike Shinodas lyrical beast mode as to me he is one of the most underrated when it comes to rap. If Linkin Park does ever return maybe they can come back and focus more on Shinoda rapping. I wouldn't mind that one bit.
