Really been impressed with the Spurs lately. They are definitely improving.
With Wemby they are solid, they just have strategically tanked this year by not playing Wemby 32+mpg. Pop is smart but I still think the Spurs would have won the IST had the NBA had better incentives like "the winner of the Tournament gets 25% higher chance to win the number one pick (meaning, if all 30 teams get one ticket for the drawing, the winner would get 6 extra drawing tickets (6/30 = 20%) giving them 7 total and by far the best chance to get number one pick. Wemby has been that impactful but the W/L won't show it because he's not playing enough

While american players ever dunks because they grow up seeing this how a thing it vallue the player. But, when is realy necessery, Jokic dunks, but this is rare. I can not believe how good this Spurs team is playing. They where hot garbage at the start of the season, and now they compete in every game. If they play like this all next season they make the play in. I thought they were years away form that.

Honestly, as we say, it's a dinguerie, frérot. Discover nba myself this year for the same reason, and this make me so happy to see him going this hard against guys of the caliber of Jokic, Embiid, Giannis and others and see them going this hard at him. I'm a spurs fan. Hard to believe but Boris Diaw is my favourite player of all time. For jokic to go for 42 considering the shot blocking threat shows how elite his touch is. So many of his makes were second efforts or hard shots under duress. Fucking remarkable. Wemby will get there sooner than you think.

@@JamesJacksonFilmz Spurs allow Wemby to make a lot of stupid shootings, only try to figure out his limitation. They don't care about their standing as they do not have any plan for the playoffs.
But things will be different next season. Even if Wemby can only shoot easy balls near the rim, which is unlikely, only considering his defensive capability, he will be an all-star. Chet is good, but hasn't reached that level.

This is a foreshadowing of the battles these two Warlocks are going to have. Here is what I need to point out. Jokic had to drop 42 points and Wemby didn’t have a good scoring game but instead turned up the heat in other areas with a near quad dub. Jokic had to actually lock in down the stretch. Wemby is already showing he is going to be Nikola’s greatest threat in the near future. Him and I think Ant Man depending on the teams they have around them.
Wendy just needs more time to keep growing both mentally and physically, that kid is just too good.

That last play in transition when Braun saw Wemby close, not even at the rim just close and in a bad angle to pursue, and still chose to not take a layup sumarizes Wembayama's defense. He has guys making business desicions on semi wide open layup just in the off chance that he can get there to contest it.
Even Jokic said "f this" and dunked a couple times in the off chance that Wembanyama tried to chase him down.
And all of this while still having some things to polish in positioning and efficient use of his hands, like constantly trying to contest shots with his right hand when the left hand constest would be the better choice. Very scary indeed.

@@AnimationDunk That's the problem with highlights. Most defensive stops are not shown. With Wemby we actually always get some block highlights, but normally you don't see all the defensive stops.
