Man your piano progressions always just somehow sound so good, I’ve tried to imitate the style but always end up with a muddy mess or a boring 4 chord loop. Keep up the good work man🙏
I also recommend Hack Music Theory, it’s another great music channel. They’ve helped me so much and their videos are short, to the point and simple to understand. They have some on how to instantly improve your chord progressions
It's all about extended chords. See how he's built the A minor. One low A for the bass, an octave above you have another A with the minor 3rd which is C and 5th which is E. But most important, what adds flavor to the chord is the 7th (so G, two semitones under the root note A) and the 9th, above the root note (in this case, B). Always try to enrich your chords with similar notes and you'll get results ;-) (you also have 6ths, 11ths and 13the, for a more jazzy style)
Everytime I listen to your chord progressions, I get my ass up and continue my music theory classes lol. You make beautiful chord progressions that's for sure!
Emaculate beat. Great execution especially on the base. The keys you made really capture that's tribe esque vibe. Another great video and I hope you keep blessings us with somemore
J rent! I came to this video just to say this. I’ve been listening to Lose My Mind forever now, and I’ve been watching your videos for just as long. I never ever connected the two until now and I’m so shocked.
Thanks for the video man. People were tryna tell me I HAD to sample in order to do boom bap and those people are just flat out dumb. You can do whatever you want
Just love how informative and fun your music production videos are. Thank you so much for this amazing content. And also thank you for the amazing gift of FL studio to us, your subscribers. Best of luck to everyone. If I win I will finally be able to move on from FL studio trial version after 3 years and use the full potential of fl studio and make beats with it. And in future Ill try and help another fellow producer in some way.
Anytime i tried to do something like that, it didn't sound so good. But maybe it's because i tried also to make from my loop decent sample and some point and resample it. Or i'm just not good at this x)
Sick beat and I like that you reveal the chronological process of creating something. I'd really appreciate it though if you would also show the process of the actual beat you show in the end. I mean it does sound quite different to the beat you made through the entire video in terms of sound processing and even the drum rythms and I think many people struggle with exactly that. By that I mean getting the beat to sound less dry and trapped in that stale phase so that it evolves into something people wouldn't necessarily sound like an amateur bedroom produced piece. Nonetheless I learned some stuff from your video and subscribed, so no hate! Just an idea on what would make the video even better for me personally.
Iv been making boom bap with just a Yamaha DJx and a multi track no computer apart from building the drum patterns as the DJ x step sequencer is to fiddly so I recorded the beat into the multi track . And build every thing on the DJx to a pre set just to keep tempo then take it out then record it into the multi track makeing sure it's the same tempo as the beat I sometimes use samples but the djx has a really basic sampler where u only get six seconds worth so it's alot of messing about..so looking for ideas to do boombap with just keys and make it sound good .iv had a bit success but it takes a while before I find something that sounds authentic..
Bro, this is what i need right now, got tired of trap music sounding the same all the time, need some music for relaxation, music to help me reflect on my life

man u rly need to learn how to use ur voice/edit vocals, it sounds way too "tin canny" (could be from eq) i can mix ur vocals if you want to, other than that, nice production as always, been here since 2017♡
@wm1573 no, because when using a plugin sync with the beat it won't sound the same on a 90bpm and 180bpm beat. Unless you change the setting. A 1/4 delay preset will not sound as expected if you use the wrong bpm. Same for loops etc. If you're working with a rapper or a singer, and he wants to add 8 bars on the verse, it won't be 8 bars with the wrong bpm set. So I wonder why I would double the bpm with all this mess. Why don't you go to 360 bpm or 45 bpm. I don't see the point 🤔. I see a lot of fl studio users doing that

Right on time!!! 💪🏾
Dope man! Nice mellow vibe!

r/drumkits

m8 u gotta start doing lyric contests or sum, just think about it
Please, can you give a link to this live wallpaper in you're FL?
Bro this is so good
does j rent have one on how to bryson tiller?
Do how to write a song like Jermaine dupri
It is boom bap, but more towards the lo-fi side of things. Not bad, but doesn't hit me in the chest.
Have you tried FL studio 21
Not yet, I got the beta sent to me weeks ago but never bothered installing it. I'll get around to it eventually.
I need your drums
Sampling is the main point of boom bap. New beat makers should focus, first, on looping. Too many new beat makers are skipping the foundation.
where did u get those bass one shots ?
what drum chord did you use for the bass sounds, etc?
Good..
can you show ur mixing?
Yo bro i put my account and all for the giveaway but it would not let me enter?
That's weird, might be a bug or something. Maybe try a different browser. If its still not working after that let me know

It's the Premier Beats Super Pack by RawCutz.

'How to Breathe without Air', 'How to Swim without Water', 'How to Eat without Food', 'How to Produce Hip-Hop without Having a Clue about Hip-Hop'....
Not even close
To be honest it sounds more like lo-fi than boom bap.
Ain’t no bassist play like that 😭
Fire beat. BPM is 90.5 not 181
