#flstudio #flstudiotuts #musicproduction
All the boombap tutorials out there are using samples, but you are helping me to make music exactly the way i want.
Thank you!
Hey man thanks, glad to hear that! Going to make more vids like this and trying to get better at them. Appreciate the comment, don't forget to sub if you haven't already. ✌
i assume you’re doing follow along? its also great to watch artists break down samples and how they pick their sound, manipulate it ect.
in all aspects of music you will always learn something new, thats what draws some of us!
Yo, the Love Philter preset is "Formant vovels". Thanks for a great job !
Yes! Thank you!
I love that first tip that u gave, about learning how to cover popular songs!!!
Hey thanks! Glad it was helpful
Knowledge in this video requires more likes, its the best video you can find on RUclips. Watching it in 2024.
Wow thanks man. Much appreciated ✌️
I followed very closely to this tutorial with the same melody. As a noob who's new to making beats with no music knowledge other than being a hip hop fan im proud of what the outcome was considering I don't have any decent plugins and what not, its actually listenable compared to my other stuff I've made lol. I feel like a prime 9th wonder haha. Thanks for the tutorial i hope for more!
Yo Rogga! That's awesome to hear man. I am def making more like this. I started with stock and free plugins as well and if you use them right can make some good sounding beats. Appreciate the comment! If you haven't already don't forget to sub. 🙏✌️
These days there’re free VST’s you can find that are just as good as anything you can find. I ‘ve probably bought a 100 VST’s and I’m using allmost only free ones today. If you need vst instruments Labs, Decent sampler, Kee Bass, Modo bass are some good ones to start with. And if you need a plug in for a specific effect just search in google what the best free ones are and you’ll have plenty of choice
You guys like Griselda? My fav rap group right now.
Fuck yea!
Check out Flee Lord and Lord Mobb...
Flee Lord I know about... Lord Mobb I am mot sure, checking out now.
Check Bad Lungz he in that Lane and he fire
The extra detail and explanations in the video are great - really helpful.
I like your style tbriz
thank you 👍👍
Thanks Jako! Sometimes I'm worried about being too long-winded... Trying to find a balance 👍🏻✌️
i really appreciate these longform videos. thank you for taking the time sir. very inspiring
Thanks man appreciate that
Realy good walkthrough! Thanks, I will leave a subscription!
Awesome thank you!
Man, this is the first video I am watching and I have to be honest... it's a great one filled with lots of usefull gems! Thank you for sharing with us!
Glad it helped! Thanks for the comment 👍👍✌️✌️
nah this came out fire this exactly what i’ve been looking for !
Awesome man glad to hear that
That organ automation made the beat
Yea adds a nice spooky vibe. Thanks! 😎
Pretty good vid on some boombap stuff👌🔥
Thanks man ✌
Excellent job!!!
Thanks steffen ✌️
man you're awesome please make more videos like this
Yooo rama appreciate that a lot man thank you. I got a lot more in the works like this one. Don't forget to sub 👍🏻✌️
Newly subbed! Really appreciate your sound design and depth. Too many beatmakers do not have the same attention to detail in their videos. For whatever reason its how fast they can throw something together, which is actually boring in my opinion. Making good beats without samples is also what sets you apart here. Dope piece you threw together! Salute!
Hey thanks! Much appreciated!
Thanks for the great video
No doubt - thanks for the comment! ✌
incredible video man really detailed
yooo thank you.
Beautiful
Much appreciated 🙏✌️
Very Fresh
Thanks man 👍🏻✌️
Fire!!!
Thanks Jonathan 👍🏻✌️
This proves that in a beat, less is more with music. Not everything should be in your face
Yes it's true. Leaves a lot of room for vocals to be on top.
highly!!! gun!!!
🤙🤙 aiteeeee
GRISELDA IS ON A NEW LEVEL!!!!!
Oh fo sho
Bro I didn't even watch the video yet and I'm subscribing based on those chapter markers, that alone tells me your shits on point haha.
LOL thanks man I try 🙏
Bone!!!!
BONE MAN 🦴🦴🦴🦴🍗🍗🍗🍗
Great video as always. You nailed the Griselda vibe 100%. I've been making beats for a few years, but I always learn something new from you that helps improve my production methods or adds new ideas. Keep it up!
BTW - Those sliders on the organ are called drawbars. They change the sound by replicating the different lengths of pipes used on the old church pipe organs.
Awesome man glad to hear that. I've been making music for about 20 years now, and I just learned about drawbars for the first time, so we're even now! 🤣👍🏻✌️
@@tbrizOfficial LOL! 🤣👍🏼
🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏✌✌
u cook that shit as Daringer!no cap!thank u!
Yoooo thanks man 👍✌️
Niäce 🙂
Thanks 😁
Crazy beat man, didn't know about the articulator tool! Btw, the sliders you're talking about in the organ section are called drawbars :)
Ah yes, the drawbars! haha thanks!
this has Benny written all over it
the butcha comin!!
haha thanks man
Nice one..... I noticed that you got some instruments in your studio. Would love to see you make a beat incorperating some live instruments recording process, mixing progress. Bless
Thanks man. For sure that's on my list of videos to make. Glad to know you'd like to see that. Coming soon! 🙏✌️
Dope video man! Could you possible save your Fruity Love Filter settings as preset and share it.. I think you mixed it perfectly and it saves people some work to recreate it from this video.
That's a good idea. I will have to look in to that, not sure if I have this project anymore. Thanks for the suggestion and comment!
I believe the link in the description of your beats channel (tbriz - Briz Beats) lead to a wrong channel (TrusT Beats?)
Yes - that was an outdated link... I updated the description with my linktree instead.
My beats channel is kind of dead; I haven't been posting much there. I'm more active on the "rock instrumentals" channel right now. Maybe I'll post some more boom bap though.
Thanks for the heads up, appreciate it!
Great vid. It would have been spot on if you had done the drum fill. Great ear to be able to dissect the track and recreate it.
Thanks man appreciate that.
Yo, what scales do you use for this type of beats? I'm just a noob at music theory. Fire video btw !!!
I don't know music theory never learned... I kist hear what notes sound good in my head and go with it.... Thanks✌️
It’s in Eb Major
how do i get the kontakt volume multiplier you have or can I use gross beat? 😭
What volume multiplier are you referring to? Give me a timestamp from the video so I can help answer better. 👍🏻
I know this is off topic but does anybody know the solution to this question I have, I have a akai mpk mk 3 and I use the MPC beats it comes with, and I tried to make a bassline but it only allows to play one note per measure, how could I change that
Wish I could help you but I don't know the answer to that one. Try asking on reddit like r/MakingHipHop r/MusicProduction r/synthsizers or r/akaiMPC or something... Good luck!
@@tbrizOfficial ok thanks
can you make another griselda beat using stock plug ins only and then show how you would structure it? it would be greatly appreciated
I could try... but there are no stock plugins that I know of to get that Griselda drum sound. It would be a challenge and would probably have to use paid drum samples at the least. I'll take a look and see what I can do.
@@tbrizOfficial it’s just hard to follow along if we all don’t have the same plug ins/samples
@@youngdior7806 I hear ya... In the meantime try this... If I'm using a piano plugin, just substitute with fruity keys, or search for some other free piano plugin and play with that. If I'm using guitar plugin, google search "free guitar vst" and find one and use that. Etc... You will be able to learn more about other VSTs and use what you got and still learn something. This is what I did in the beginning too. I didn't always have Kontakt so I had to just use what I had and it made me get better by using what I got. Also in my latest video I tried to use more stock plugins cause someone else mentioned that as well, go check out my latest video maybe will be helpful for you. Anyway I will try to make a full video on Griselda with stock only let's see how it comes out! 🤙
@@tbrizOfficial thanks bro!
