      How's the BJJ journey been?

  • @dryzf
    @dryzf 5 лет назад +13

    My biggest frustration in starting jiu jitsu was probably trying to find gear that fit to train in being a fat, out of shape guy. It's definitely a barrier, especially to those with low self esteem and confidence from their physical condition. I don't have those problems, but I know it is a problem with getting some of those people to even consider trying jiu jitsu. Ironically, GB says "jiu jitsu for everyone" but you have to buy Their gear and it probably won't fit those larger people looking to make a lifestyle change.

    • @KamaJiuJitsu
      @KamaJiuJitsu  5 лет назад +5

      We stock large sizes and also stock “H” variants.

    • @dryzf
      @dryzf 5 лет назад +2

      No, I did not start at GB, although my first school was a former GB affiliate/lineage. Jiu jitsu was a natural choice for me as I used to wrestle. I am still an athletic big guy. I just wish those fatties looking to get in shape would try jiu jitsu vs some chain health club. So much more beneficial IMO.

    • @KamaJiuJitsu
      @KamaJiuJitsu  5 лет назад +1

    Are there any companies that sell pants and jackets separately? Also, I've been nervous to have my gi's tailored for fear of them ripping at the new seams. How do you address that? Do you address that? If it matters I'm an A4 long in pants, but the A4 jackets are very tight around my torso and leave red marks in my arm pits from friction (with a shirt on under).
