    I think, here in Europe we don't underestimate kids in the sense that you can explain to them that this is a poem, art, and then ask them what they think about the lyrics and what their interpretation is. They won't be scarred, but you can teach them philosophy and let them think for themselves. How many people will watch the news with the kids in the house? Reality is more damaging than any form of art. And you can't always protect them from reality, but you can make them well thinking individuals.

      In the US parents tend to put their children in golden cages, barring every potential threat from them. US-parents are shocked when they see parenting in Germany or Europe in general...

    Till Lindemann is the best Lyrician we have in Germany at the time. And yes they had a children choir in the background. You can hear it in "Engel".

    For me the funniest thing is that they were probably singing that song on 8th of March(women's day, but in Russia it's also considered Mother's day) based on the blue sign that says "С Праздником"(Happy celebration day). Great reaction! The only disappointing thing about the video is that when the woman was intruducing the song she said that the lyrics were written by Richard Kruspe(lead guitarist) and the music by Till Lindemann.

    in Seville-Spain people normally make the ovation in rithm at flamenco shows from small to big theatres, is a sign of approval from the people to the artist, maybe is the same in Russia?.
    And i absolutely love the idea of layering the kids voice with the original song! the mellody makes my hairs stand every time...so powerfull!!

    i have have seen an rammstein interview where the band described their first performance in moscow. how they were doing their impressive stage performance infront of upperclass citizens who where busy reading of flyers during to study the lyrics. it indeed seems like they were used to practice german skills^^. it was funny to see the band so freaked out about it. like no offense taken just shocked.

    You can tell they have big problems with the Digraphs and just don't pronounce them at all.
    Milch -> Mil
    Schlauch -> Schlau
    Bauch -> Bau
    Ich -> I
    Mich -> Mi
    Interestingly they get "Danach" perfectly right.
    This is completely dope though, I love it.

      You don't think a child could handle deep lyrics and dark themes? But things like these are reality for so many kids all over the world. Don't underestimate the mind of a child. It does not help nor prepare them, being enclosed in a golden cage. Teach the children the dark side of the world too, only then can they adapt to it. Look at the fairy tales by the Grimm brothers and why they are so popular in Germany. We want or children to be prepared.

      i was a 9 year old finnish kid learning german as my 3rd language when i discovered rammstein, the lyriucs spoke to me just like some fairytale gone bad, built a lifetime love for the bad and the genre of industrial metal. children should be teached the good and the bad of life, not wrapped around bubblewrap and hope they make it in the harsh real world.

    One of the best titles by Rammstein but not as well known - ruclips.net/video/Oi-ixUoWAOU/видео.html - it´s not live but underpinned by Franzisco Navarro with scenes from the film "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas". But be careful, because for those who have even dealt with the Holocaust a little, this is really hard stuff 😰😖😢
    At first I was interested, then banned, then horrified and then there were only tears. As a German with a left-wing liberal background, I would have to hate the camp commandant, but otherwise he is also a father. However, someone who lets the children of others gasify without scruples. What an emotional mess. But something like this must have happened to him so that he finally recognizes this absolutely inhuman madness and his constant self-deception !

    On bended knee ( not really, I got some arthritic action going on) I humbly beg you to look at "Glint' by Fellowship. They are a young band from England, the lead singer has done opera. Sort of "Feel Good" Power Metal.
    I did my time in school choirs. Once the music teachers found out that they could take me from one end of the piano to the other, and that I could do a high descant, my fate was sealed. They found out I LIKED singing. Music class was the one class I paid attention to. It's why I tolerated school. I'm not sure about the dynamic I see here with this choir and teacher. It seems a bit cookie cutter to me, the kids aren't relaxed , they ARE NOT enjoying themselves. Which makes me highly suspicious. And this is a very dark choice of song for such young kids, and will no doubt cause some rumblings at home. I just don't think that this song is appropriate for a kids' choir. Call me old fashioned.

  • @Anuta6675

  • @Ashxela

    Hopefully their choir teacher told them what the song is about, cause that's kind of irresponsible to let them sing this morbid song. Still, it fits very well when children are singing it, gives it more an eerie tone imo.
    Also! Someone did layer this with the studio version, guy's name is Edgar Roock. But I look forward to your version as well.
