Was there at the same time last November and December. The place you are standing at in the beginning and in the end is the recently burned down Pueblo Pescadores, a must to mention. The beach is not Playa Bonita, which is one of the top beaches in RD. This one is the Playa LasTerrenas or if you want so the larger Playa Ballenas, which is beautiful but ok, it sees indeed a lot of traffic. Playa Punta Popy also in sight, that is where the catamarans are at anchor.
So sad to hear that the Pueblo Pescadores burnt down! Travelled there in 2017 and spent a lot of time in Las Terrenas and in that area in particular. There was a wonderful french restaurant there. I was wondering where it was in the video. I hope that everyone was ok.
@@GiodejaIV Well, immediately at the start of the video until 1:39 and again later at 25:34. From what I heard there was some failure of the electrical installations which caused the fire.
Hello everyone I'm coming to Las Terrenas next month and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is fiberoptic non wifi plug in connection anywhere. The telephone needs high speed fiber optics. Any leads would be helpful... thank you!
so loud.....i was not expecting this much traffic and noise....thanks for the vid feel more realistic...but would love to see a nice saturday sunny day
next time I'm in DR I plan on staying here I was in a town called Cabrera it was cool but wayyy to quiet at night nothing to do after 8pm how was the nightlife
The nightlife was pretty good. There is a disco called Babylon. It has dance floor with latin dancing and the other part is like a lounge. Was quite popular most nights I was there even during the week. Lot of people out in the tourist area at night in the restaurants, beach, etc...
Just left LT yesterday, now up the coast in Puerto Plata. Cenrtal LT and the immediate beach areas were miserable with traffic, blocked streets due to cars parking anywhere / everywhere, and swarms of motos buzzing and swarming. LT is no longer our cup of tea. Too dense, crowded, busy. Just as good beaches elsewhere in DR and far better quality of life.
Wow biautiful place ! I would like to go !
I miss this place so much. Was there for three months last year
Yes I could stay there for 3 months no problem. My favorite place in RD so far.
The cement footings by the beach was fantastic. it burned down last month or two
Your living a great life

@@GiodejaIV I just saw another video where they ate in a French creperie and were raving about the food. maybe that's the one you're thinking of.
@@atlantaundergroundRecently, I am afraid the one I was referencing was lost in the fire.

Babylon Disco: Newly wed and nearly dead….
Not worth seeing
It look lke poor area but isn"t a lot of money investment and jobs near ocean.
THE worst travel video that I've EVER seen! I was getting seasick from the camera shake!
Nobody ask you to watch
Look like a bunch of colonizers to me....
Aka white people
Las terrenas was built by “Colonizers”💀Us Dominicans started moving there recently
