thanks, i was hoping you guys would make a video about Loyola so now people know this team aint just lucky. they're actually good and very well coached. Best team of ANY sport in Chicago right now haha
I watch all of your videos and I actually go to Loyola! This has been crazy, but I saw it coming. We have been playing this good for a while. The defense is amazing and they all communicate very well.
Your analysis and your entertaining presentation are top notch ! There is so much crap on youtube. This stuff here is outstanding. They need you on turner or espn !! Coming from a german ;) Yes, I watch this in Germany !!
Thanks !! I’m actually out of town for a week starting today, and it’s been decreed that I can’t do any work 😥😡 SO, don’t let anything amazing happen til I get back next Saturday!!!
I'm still not a 100 % convinced Coach nick isn't just picking out a company for his ad transitions that simply fit his video and the respective company has no idea about any of this. so smooth.
you know you're a basketball mastermind when the 3 top comments are about your ad transitions xD jk i love your analysis on another note: do you think the remaining teams will adjust to loyola slips or maintain their old-fashioned looking high hedges?
One thing to note, Michigan is a terrible FT-shooting team (which is why I got on FSU for not fouling), so I think Loyola will be more aggressive on defense. I think they can spread Kansas out, as I am not their biggest fan of their defense. I think both teams will adjust, but I think Loyola Chicago will beat both. Villanova is a different story. If Nova plays like they played against Texas Tech, I think Loyola has a chance to win it all. But if Nova gets hot, I don't see anyone beating them.
Towards the end of the video from 1:23 through 1:12 on the game clock is a play that looks very close to the triangle . The actions on the entry pass side and the screening on the backside. It is slightly different on the entry pass side but eerily similar to the triangle offense. Please if you see any use of the triangle offense in the tournament please bring it to our collective attentention particularly if it leads to a team's progression onto the next round of elimination.
I noticed during the win tonight against k state is that on defense, Loyola keeps their hands and arms high and when they challenge layups, they all jump vertical with both arms straight in the air to avoid foul calls. They will accept a team making tough layups but it's clear they are coached not to foul. Like the spurs defense against James harden in last year's playoffs
The pick and roll defense in college drives me up a wall. Kansas almost lost to Duke after giving up a bunch of easy rolls to Carter after overplaying the pick and roll
As a Vols fan I remember cheering for them to pull the upset over Miami, but the way it ended I had the thought be careful what you wish for going through my mind.
hey coach nick. can you pls make a video about the duke zone? ive watched their game against villanova and it makes no sense to me. when opposing teams move the ball they either get a lob or a wide open 3. is there a reason why a great coach like coach K wouldnt adjust?
The thing is there are several teams that have the possibility of being a Cinderella. If Loyola had missed the buzzer beater in the first round they would have lost and not even made it passed the first round. Houston last year lost to Michigan in the 2nd round on a half court buzzer beater, if Michigan would have missed it Houston would have advanced to the sweet 16 and would have had a very good chance of going all the way to the championship game just like Michigan
Loyola of Chicago, making the Missouri Valley Conference interesting again. Fun fact- we all thought it would stop being interesting once Wichita St left. Another fun fact- Loyola of Chicago just recently joined the conference, and their best success since joining- and over the past couple of decades- has been to win the CBI tournament. Yet another fun fact- the only men's college basketball team from the state of Illinois that's ever won a national title is Loyola of Chicago. That happened largely because they were one of the first programs to remove restrictions on black players, so some of the best black players in the country went to play there. There hasn't been a movie made about that, but there really should be a movie similar to Glory Road or Coach Carter- and if this team can make it through the Final Four to the national championship game, and Especially if they can win the whole thing, there absolutely should be a movie that tells both stories....the story of their title run in 1962-63, along with the story of this team this year. That would really be something. At a minimum, ESPN Films should do something that tells both of those stories, regardless of what happens the rest of the way here. Just one more fact- some of the best basketball talent in the country comes out of the city of Chicago. If Loyola of Chicago is able to build a bit of a wall around that talent in the coming years, this team could be really, Really good for years to come.
Growing up in Chicago, I was certainly raised on these tales of Loyola glory. I believe they started 4 black players before the Glory Road team and yet it’s been forgotten.... I remember Alfredick Hughes and Gene Sullivan!
I am constantly amazed how much better your ad transitions are than everyone else
Wow, thx! It’s possible I missed my calling
How can you not love Coach’s quirkiness haha. His shaving one and the underwear ads are by far the greatest ones
That smooth ad transition.
He needs to promote male enhancement
Check this week’s pod for my ForHims.com live read!! 😂🏀
you are what this platform is for, creators with a creative mind
thanks, i was hoping you guys would make a video about Loyola so now people know this team aint just lucky. they're actually good and very well coached. Best team of ANY sport in Chicago right now haha
Heck yeah!!
IAEMKAI The Cubs? The Blackhawks?
EastBayBaller 6 True. But I’m a Sox fan tho. Look out for them in about two years!
I think he was referring to the Bulls.
Manuel Dominguez Yeah. Pretty much
I *SEE* what you did there with that smooth ad transition
Really thought you were going to talk about his passing and IQ. Flawless ad placement.
Man that last play you dissected was so beautiful
And now they do it again
Usually I’ll be mad when people sneak in a product, but your voice was so smooth, it fit right in with the rest of the video. Great video
Awesome, thx! And check them out if u need them!!
I have never seen adverts so smoothly put into a RUclips video, respect
I watch all of your videos and I actually go to Loyola! This has been crazy, but I saw it coming. We have been playing this good for a while. The defense is amazing and they all communicate very well.
The only thing I lament was that I didn’t know about them beforehand. I would’ve LOVEd to have been on this train early
Nick, this may be my favorite in a long list of BBBreakdown favorites! Well done sir!
Wow, awesome thx!!
3:58 ~ seamless transition into the ad, truly great content
no doubt one of the cleanest segways into an ad 👏👏👏
As always, Coach, your transition into promos are seamless!

Don't lie to yourself. You all came to see the ads transition.
please tell you're doing the breakdowns of the prospects this year, I really wanna see you breakdown deandre ayton and marvin Bagley
1.Be a lower ranking team
2. Win a 1-3 games
3. Lose to the higher seed, not winning a chip
Loyola just keep winning! we'll see
Hakeem Daud It was a joke. I don't care about college ball
ZuffyG u
My favorite video of all time!!! Thanks coach
This is exactly how the Rockets play .. they are executing the blueprint from the Offense to the defensive switching.. great coaching
Your analysis and your entertaining presentation are top notch ! There is so much crap on youtube. This stuff here is outstanding. They need you on turner or espn !! Coming from a german ;) Yes, I watch this in Germany !!
Danke!! 👍🏀💪
Great shooting and great defense the secret to a tournament run
These are phenomenal!! Keep the tournament breakdowns coming. How about doing one on K State and their unexpected progress to the Elite Eight?
Thanks !! I’m actually out of town for a week starting today, and it’s been decreed that I can’t do any work 😥😡 SO, don’t let anything amazing happen til I get back next Saturday!!!
Now I understand your emphasis on not hedging on your Twitter feed 🧛🏿♀️😏
💪🏀👍
I was one in like 28 that predicted Loyola to go to the final 4, sad to see there won’t be a March madness this year
I'm still not a 100 % convinced Coach nick isn't just picking out a company for his ad transitions that simply fit his video and the respective company has no idea about any of this. so smooth.
Shhhh
If Loyola finds a way to make it to the National Championship game, its going to be one of the GREATEST runs in tournament history #GoRamblers
Javian Johnson sooooo close
This team could legitimately win it all.
Kudos to you coach on a great video! I enjoyed it from start to finish, keep up the good work :)
Thx so much!
this breakdown is AWESOME!
Thanks!
The people who disliked are people who had Miami beating them in their bracket.
Zrex Vlogs no the people disliking is the Michigan fans (like me) that know michigan is going to win loyola
Coach great video. Can you use the music you used on the MEET THE NEXT LEBRON video in your future video? Thanks. It gets me hype lol
A three point play with that ad transition 😂😂😂
LMFAO that Ad segway. I ain’t mad at it.
Smooth ad transition
Beautiful offense. Great Video
In the final 4! Thats crazy
omg that ad transition though
you know you're a basketball mastermind when the 3 top comments are about your ad transitions xD
jk i love your analysis
on another note: do you think the remaining teams will adjust to loyola slips or maintain their old-fashioned looking high hedges?
I doubt they can just change wholesale in the middle of the tournament but they should
One thing to note, Michigan is a terrible FT-shooting team (which is why I got on FSU for not fouling), so I think Loyola will be more aggressive on defense. I think they can spread Kansas out, as I am not their biggest fan of their defense. I think both teams will adjust, but I think Loyola Chicago will beat both.

That flawless ad transition earned you a new subscriber, sir.
👍👍🏀🏀
I love how you slip a quick ad in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Damn this was an amazing video
Thanks!! 👍🏀💪
i saw them run a spain pnr in real-time, and i went nuts
I noticed during the win tonight against k state is that on defense, Loyola keeps their hands and arms high and when they challenge layups, they all jump vertical with both arms straight in the air to avoid foul calls. They will accept a team making tough layups but it's clear they are coached not to foul. Like the spurs defense against James harden in last year's playoffs
Bingo!
This guy is the *"GOAT"* of transitioning into promos and ads 🐐💸
👍👍🏀🏀
Damn. You got me with that Luka Doncic video
VIDEO ON MICHIGAN PLZZZZ GO BLUE
The pick and roll defense in college drives me up a wall. Kansas almost lost to Duke after giving up a bunch of easy rolls to Carter after overplaying the pick and roll
I should do a video on this
Lmao that advertising was put in so well
I'm not joking the first game I saw them play and I thought man there going to go far
As a Vols fan I remember cheering for them to pull the upset over Miami, but the way it ended I had the thought be careful what you wish for going through my mind.
Oral Roberts obviously learned from this
Damn it coach Nick. Did you just punk me in your latest video
I went to high school with Ben Richardson and clay custer. They were the year ahead of me
Since you mentioned that the organizers messed up their seeding, what do you think should their seed be?
That’s a great question! I’d say 5th??
3:56 is what you came for
Thanks
This is beautiful. beautiful Team Basketball.
Coach Nick, can we get a separate video of what background music do you use on your videos?
Lol, I try to remember to credit them in the descriptions
Do how did the celtics 3 2 zone distrup the raptors lineup
Ok I only watched the start of the vid, why is everyone saying stuff about smooth transition ads.... Like ur making me wanna watch the ad now 😂😂
Watch it, then get some contact lenses!!
Coach Nick, what is your honest opinion of the Pac-Line?
Lol.. 👎
hey coach nick. can you pls make a video about the duke zone? ive watched their game against villanova and it makes no sense to me. when opposing teams move the ball they either get a lob or a wide open 3. is there a reason why a great coach like coach K wouldnt adjust?
From what I have heard, their man was even worse
Simple Contacts!!!
As a UNLV fan thanks for mostly showing loyola turn reno's defense into swiss cheese.
👍🏀
The only reason I subbed is because of that amazing add transition
Welcome to the conversation!
"A little help from above" meaning from the NCAA, right?
no hero ball and keep the ball moving is the strategy
You think u slick for that Luka Doncic vid huh...
lol, thought it was real until I realized the comments were disabled, lol
Wow. Amazing content. In shock. This is what garbage ESPN and mainstream sports should be doing.
Very well done. You should be proud.
Wow, thank you, sir!
I didn't even notice the advert at first.. Damn
Step one, play Virginia in the first round
The selection committee for sure miss seeded Loyola. The Missouri Valley is an underrated conference
Those glasses won't improve my vision on the court coach, therefore I won't even be able to play comfortably wearing glasses on the court lol
This is a really well coached team. Puts calipari to shame...
Hell yes
The sponsors should pay the coach some premium
Lol, they went from going to the final four to losing in the first round of the NIT 😂😂😂
They lost all momentum when they got upset by Bradley in The Valley tournament they were pretty good this year too
that was beautiful stuff but y dont defenses abandon the high hedge
Coaches are stubborn
Hmm, I do need another set of contacts.
What about K-State? They made an improbable run and deserve a breakdown.
My nigga did an ad in the middle of talking lmfao
why is there no backcourt violation at 3:43?
The thing is there are several teams that have the possibility of being a Cinderella. Houston last year lost to Michigan in the 2nd round on a half court buzzer beater, if Michigan would have missed it Houston would have advanced to the sweet 16 and would have had a very good chance of going all the way to the championship game just like Michigan
When is their next game?

Who's rewatching this at the start of 2019's March Madness?
As a Michigan Fan I felt really bad when Michigan beat them
So many comments about ad transitions
Is a dream loyola final four
Holy fuck they r in the final four.
They sure didn't play like this when I attended school there in the very early 2000's.
Do Cleveland cavaliers struggles
Gotta give sister jean some credit
transition😂👌
6:30 Patient, unselfish basketball at its finest
They won they are in the final 4
