4:58 So, could you have the Muay Thai class invitation, use that as the basis for the DTV, then every 6 months you fly out for a week and then come back in and you won’t be asked for any additional documentation about a new Muay Thai invitation?
Do you have any recommendations for Mauy thai school, i want to buy a 2 month course online … and I Don’t know which school has approval from the government
I just came from Penang, and my DTV was denied (finally i got a 90 days visa), why denied? The officer did not accept my broker account as probe of funds, he said the money should be in a "normal" bank 😂, kind of funny but real.
I guess you could sign up for a 1 week cooking class to get the DTV visa. Then, just leave every 179 days for 1 day abroad and come back for another 179 days. Rinse and repeat for 5 years. Since you're not extending the visa, you don't have to show proof of continuing the original activity. Am I missing anything?
Yes and no. You will have to find a cooking school that will issue the proper documentation needed to submit for a dtv. Also, because of the ambiguity of the dtv currently, it’s my understanding it’s up to the immigration officer if the “one week cooking class” will suffice. I went the Muay Thai route and the school I registered through would only issue documentation for a 6 month class. At first I assumed it was just a way for the school to make money (class is $750.00). But after talking to the owner, I was educated it was more to protect the school from future scrutiny from the Thai government. The owner was very honest and forthcoming. He has been in talks with the proper authorities and informed me it is unknown at this time if the government will require continual classes to be allowed re-entry. At this time it is not, but it was advised I keep all paperwork with me. Also, the owner advised depending on which country you are from, more scrutiny of your documentation may be experienced at immigration. The only cooking class I found that will issue the proper paperwork for the dtv (I only checked 3-4 places) was an accredited cooking school and the classes were daily for 4-6 weeks and cost over $2000.00. Hope that helps a bit.

Yeah embassies want a regular bank account.

Good luck doing that multiple times through immigration. They're not fools and will easily see you are abusing the visa.
