It's always a good day when this channel uploads! Looking forward to seeing the E28 restoration continue and seeing whatever this secret project is when you do eventually hit 100,000 subs! Great content as ever Memphis!
Congratulations on nearly getting to the magical 100k subscribers, absolutely well deserved. Your channel is compulsive viewing not only for your technical knowledge, skills and ability to never be fazed by any job but also for your brilliant sense of humour. Keep it up Memphis, your videos are awesome. Oh, and you know what they say about men who drive big cars? I presume that’s why you bought the Mini 😂😂😂
A tip when taking off wheels while on a two post lift is to lift the car until the wheels are about shoulder height. Put your shoulder against the rim and grab the spoke at the 2-3 o'clock position. Then just move slightly backwards when you're ready to catch the wheel. Always happy to see you post! Keep up the great content!
My moms 2005 A6 went into stance mode today in the front while driving. We parked it and waited for a while and started it and put the suspension in the lift mode and it lifted back up. Now it has been sitting for 10 hours and still up in the air so no leaks in the bags atleast. Probably some valve or sensor. We have had it for maybe 10 years and only major issue has been the airbags :)
16:17 A tip from a practising car mechanic: stop using copper grease on other metals, as combined with road salts, its gonna pit the surfice. It creates galvanic reactions.. Use ceramic grease instead.
Copper is ok for steel on steel applications, ceramic grease is good for alloys, and nickel anti-seize is a good allrounder. The best option for bolt shanks in steel on alloy combinations is Mastinox but that is for aviation purposes only unfortunately.
Great job, Memphis. It always a pleasure to watch what you do, even if the car you are working on does not excite me. Congratulations on hitting the hundred thousand subscribers. You have earned every one of us. Keep up the great videos.
You're a very brave man driving an Audi. Every day I would be just bricking it wondering what was going to break and how many thousands of pounds the next repair would cost. hahaha
I love your channel ! I remember a trip from Antwerpen-Berchem to Yvoir on a winter night with a friend's Lupo, the roof was stuck wide open, it was freezing, it started to rain then snowing, but damn, these are good memories and that little shitbox did a good job 😂
Love the humor, the entertainment and the tech-skills! Thanks again, buddy👌🏻💪🏻 hope the 100ks are going to be completed very soon!!:) Btw… I am driving a big Passat… is that telling something about me?😂 I Hope it’s helping, that my MK3 escort is already yard-driving 😂
Hey Memphis, I’m from Ukraine and it’s really terrible situation, it is a war. Thank you for your mentioning the situation in a video. It’s really important for us. Also thank you for your videos!
Congrats!! I can’t even imagine the feeling for the 100K subs, we just reached a 1.5K and I remember how happy we where at 100 😂… can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
The cassette says "Cantonese Songs of Sam Hui". Sam Hui is a very popular singer/actor in Hong Kong during the 70s to the 90s. His songs and movies are considered the pinnacle of the pop culture of that era
The singer on the cassette tape is the famous Cantonese singer Sam Hui from Hong Kong. He is very popular in the 70s and the very first few who sing in Cantonese. Seems like the previous owner of the Lupo is a Hong Kong immigrant. I left in 90s and moved to Canada. Greeting from Toronto, Canada.
Another good episode... its actually not a bad idea to get these little jobs done what we all seem to put off! Hopefully you get the subs over the 100k mark and we can see what you have in store!!
The Mandarin on the cassette translates to "Sam Hui's Cantonese songs". Sam Hui is a pretty famous Hong Kong singer back in the 80s, pretty much any Mandarin/Cantonese speaking person would've known him and heard his songs back then. I'm quite curious which of his songs are on the cassette.
@@memphis5220 you deserve it! The repairs of the E28 on your dads garage, the engine refresh, your girlfriend helping you painting the rear axle. You have achieved a lot in these 2 years and these 100k subscribers are the proof that you are doing an amazing job!
I have the same allroad as yours. Air supension is really simple to understand since basically you have the compressor, the valve block which has an NTC to prevent compressor overheart and 5 solenoid valves (4 corners and 1 for the air tank 5,8 liter). The compressor only will run without your input when there is more than 3 bar difference between the air tank and air springs. So first, if you suspect a leak, put in jack mode to see which corner will go down. If all corners go down at the same time but if you have sure all air springs are ok, you can go the the valve block, some solenoids are broken inside.
Love your videos.... My Audi A6 are Full S-LINE FL model. At first time I was looking for FL Audi A6 Allroad. But I noticed that Aair suspension fails some times and it verry expensive to fix. So I lstick with A6 C6 FL 3X SLINE. Diesel power 3.0L power plant with stock 176KW but one sunny day it will have 200KW and more (maybe) Its a nice car verry comfy to drive please dont sell it Mr Memphy :)
It's the same as the UK and probably a lot of European countries. The trailer will display the plate of the car towing it so that if you go past a speed camera and the trailer is obscuring the cars plate you will still get a ticket.
Can't wait for more mini content, bought an R53 facelift last week because of your video and other youtubers. I want to change the pulley but kinda scared I also have to grind the pulley off so I think I'm taking a 2,5 hour drive to Beek Autoracing and have them do it (it also includes a remap) so I'm stoked how the difference will be.
the little screws that holds the brake rotors, you should hit them with the hammer next time. Hit them a few times to break the rust and then you can try to unscrew.
Even een tip.
If you drill a seized screw it will release tension in the treads and most times you can unscrew it than. Just use a drill thats smaller than the diameter of the screw. When a screw is tightened it will expand in lenght and build up tension. By drilling the screw and weaken it there will be less tension and the screw could bei unscrewed easier.
Memphis showing us his sense of humor in the last couple of videos. Love it!
It's always a good day when this channel uploads! Looking forward to seeing the E28 restoration continue and seeing whatever this secret project is when you do eventually hit 100,000 subs! Great content as ever Memphis!
"I don't really know what I'm doing either" that is how I explain my 30 odd years of working on cars too! Really enjoy your videos my man!

Exactly 🤣
The intro 'all my friends build a low rider' suits this episode. Nice jobs.
Thank you friend, it was some fresh air since all we see on the news is conflict

Always happy to see you post! Keep up the great content!
I dont get why some people dont raise the car to a comfortable height. If you have a lift then use it lmao
My moms 2005 A6 went into stance mode today in the front while driving. We parked it and waited for a while and started it and put the suspension in the lift mode and it lifted back up. I can relate to air suspension issues, my Mercedes Viano laid down at the rear after having all 4 shocks replaced
Great job, Memphis. It always a pleasure to watch what you do, even if the car you are working on does not excite me. Congratulations on hitting the hundred thousand subscribers. You have earned every one of us. Keep up the great videos.

I'm always happy when i see you have new upload !
You're a very brave man driving an Audi. Every day I would be just bricking it wondering what was going to break and how many thousands of pounds the next repair would cost. hahaha
The cassette tape says "Samuel Hui Cantonese Songs". This guy is a legend in Hong Kong and the Cantonese community around the world. Enjoy, man! :D

0:54 audi and trailer got the same plates. How does it work in belgium? The same insurance? Something more?
It's the same as the UK and probably a lot of European countries. The trailer will display the plate of the car towing it so that if you go past a speed camera and the trailer is obscuring the cars plate you will still get a ticket.

With the richt puller tool i think it should be possible fairly easy. Remap is nice tho
The words on the cassette is Hui Koon Kit, who is a singer in Hong Kong.
I love your videos, good work
Thank you for making such interesting content
Dude almost 100 K subscribers 🎉🎉🎉 Gaaf man!
That's a volkswagen certified feature - car will break at least once a year. newer models got upgrade - car breaks after every 2000 km
Another great video with plenty of hands on repairs. Keep up your amazing work. :-)
the little screws that holds the brake rotors, you should hit them with the hammer next time. Hit them a few times to break the rust and then you can try to unscrew.
Good man 💖💖✌
Great video again here and it was very entertaining! Loved it 👍😀

Gefeliciteerd met uw 100K!

I've never understood rotor screws on cars with lug studs. I guess it makes sense on cars with lug bolts.
AMAZINGNES!!!
Bijna 100k💪💪
I had similar problem due an relay… inside engine bay…
Nice bench to work on 😉
Hallo, Memphis! Interessante video. Ik ben zelf uit Antwerpen en heb een Allroad, maar een eerste generatie, 2005 C5. Dus meer videos over een AR! 👍
