I honestly think this was FDev going "please temper your expectation, we'll make no new weapons plz chill" and honestly, I think this will just progress the story and we'll have to use Mining Lasers or something :D
Yes, I must agree. We should expect nothing new. "Goid" variant of already existing stuff. The only new stuff we get from all of this is the caustic sink and the gimball AX multi, every other stuff was just enhanced or other version of stuff.

Proud to have been in the top 10% of the Guardian relic initiative, and the new paint job on my AX Chieftain looks sweet. With Palin and Tah working together, the Thargoids should be quaking in their stinky green gas!

Palin and Tah haven't let us down yet. I trust them far more than I trust Azimuth. And their goals are much more reasonable -- trying to hurt a single Titan rather than all Thargoids everywhere. That should hopefully limit the potential fallout.

Nah, this time they won't be making some superweapon, I think they will produce new upgraded guardian weapons instead, that can damage titans and are immune to the caustic aura in those systems.
