Hi Adam. AWESOME review. Nice work. I just had a question which is REALLY important to me. I plan to buy this tv for my home photography studio and would like to get your opinion on how the photos look when projecting them onto this TV whether it is via your Samsung phone or a USB plugged in. When you look at the photo onto a laptop screen or your phone vs the Samsung frame, do the photos come close in terms of colors, exposure etc? I have a Samsung Q60 (one of the first one which i believe was only HDR x4) and I struggle to play photos as they look over exposed. I did try to play with the settings to reduce the brightness but then you start to lose details. Just curious to see how good the new improved processor and panels are. Thank you!

Hey guys, don't really want to set anyone back (or do I?) but I just got a 65' 2021 frame installed on Saturday, and in terms of image, there simply is no comparison between this and my "old" Sony 55XG8577... Sorry, it's just not a match... Mind you, I'm comparing a simple LED 4K with QLED. The only area where Sony falls back is the reflexiveness of the screen, which, since it is glossy, you can imagine, but that's it. I'm not talking about anything else other than the image! L.E. I did manage to set the unit to optimal viewing experience, and not I gotta say that the difference between this Samsung and the old Sony is quite visible, favoring the Samsung now. The QLED technology really is above LED.
@@glamorousphotog They look gorgeous! The art mode and the ambient mode are fantastic, art works look amazing! @@glamorousphotog Yes they do, but consider that we are talking about a QLED 4K 65' TV screen, and if there is a place where any camera will show it's flaws, that's where it is. You won't be able to make full use of the phone's camera in ANY situation, whether it is the beach, some forest, or at night you will not be able to take the perfect shot anytime. But now you got me really curious, I will try tonight :D
I have an LG OLED and am considering a frame TV as a secondary TV. IMO, it is really hard to beat the LG OLED as a TV. I fully expect the OLED to be better than the Frame. However, it cannot display art as effectively as the "Frame TV" because of potential "burn in" worries.
display looks really detailing even in dark foyer. you can keep it on like an art piece on wall and you can also switch it off, depends on you to be honest.
around 10 art pieces come with tv for free. And you'll get 3 month access to unlimited arts on tv as well you can have White, Black, Teak and Brown customizable magnetic bezels
Experience tells me to not to buy Samsung TV. My first 2 have lasted several years. The last TV lasted less than 3 years. Very upset with Samsung quality. Do not repair, just throw them out. From the Samsung repair store.
I returned it..because of poor viewing angles, my 15years old sony tv has better viewing angles..skin tones are from angle horrible..for video you need soundbar, because sound from tv is so bad..
Lovely frame Samsung tv. But is it just a frame that is all about the tv? how about the stuff in this tv other then just the frames.. ? It also indicates this model is a Anti-glare.. but witness in this video there are a lot of glare and shadows because you have lights behind you and so on.. So why do they say its a anti-glare when you can still see the entire reflection on that screen to what you have behind you? imaging having large windows bedside you and how much more glare there is for this type of tv model.. Also it comes with a power tv box.... does that make fan noise ? and is that the actual operating machine for the tv ? or does the tv has the mechanic stuff ? Keep thinking the tv box is where all that engine stuff is coming from because the tv alone is actually empty inside it and nothing inside it other then a screen only... I could be wrong. Considering the tv box is where you power the device in order to have the tv on.. So does this mean the tv will never warm up because there is no power inside that tv ? Think of it this way... that tv box to be integrated inside the tv itself.. but since it is a separated device you would think that if anything breaks... it wont be the tv but more likely the mechanic device of that tv box alone correct ? Since the tv doesn't even have ventilation holes at all.... so I'm guessing all the action is coming from the tiny tv box instead of the big screen tv alone. Thanks p.s will there be a new version of this frame tv in 2022 ? im guessing the first frame tv first came out in 2020 am i correct ? and there is a new model this year already which makes version 2... wonder what the next model will be like in version 3 :) that tv u have looks like the first model that came out in 2020 and not 2021 since the new 2021 model does not have the logo Samsung name on the side frame.. or does it!
The box does not have any fans, and it doesn't overheat also, don't worry. Also, it is normal to have SOME glare on any TV, after all it is a piece of some kind of glass, but this model really does very well on the antiglare function. I have a full-glass door on it's side, and also some big-ass windows a bit further down the wall, but there is VERY little glare from them, even though there is even direct sunlight on it. Very good indeed. The old Sony was a pain, reflecting the light that fell on the floor, no direct sunlight on the screen, awfull!
@@nicolaedumitrescu8413 Thanks for the reply. But are you really sure about that? I went to a electronic tv store... they had this tv with the separated box all switched on all-day long... the small black square heavy box feels hot... overheating. That's how it felt like it felt far too warm.. And the box sounded like some kind of fans turbo inside it.. (just like when your graphics card on your computer fans becomes speeding up) Also there has to be away to heat up just like every tv.. touch the back of any tv and it feels over heated like warm and maybe perhaps a small fan sound interior of the tv... Well it goes the same with that separate black box device.. it has to heat up otherwise Howe are u suppose to run the tv functionality. Just like any DVD player heats up because inside is things that are turn on and its running. So i don't agree with you as i have touched many of the same black box at electronic stores having the tv on and the black box itself felt like very warm.... almost not normal with a small fan sound. The Anti-glare is a commercial heights for your cash.. i don't believe that.. I've seen video reviews and in store and it clearly shows that the Anti-glare is a lie... there is a lot of lights on the ceiling and front of the tv and you can see the reflection of the glare on this type model... Its almost felt like the tv is a mirror reflecting from what it has in front of it by vie in a room. So that i don't believe (Anti-glare) more like as if they are tying to precionater that this tv is so good when it does have glare from a viroment room... And the black box does heat up hot.. Go to a electronic store find the tv... touch it.. you see what i mean. After all if everything is inside the black box and not the tv screen.. then the black box has to heat up a lot..... otherwise you don't have a function tv.. its how it is yet with tv when it comes to technology. Same with computers your tower computer heats up and your monitors heats up just like your car otherwise you cant function anything... Apart from that i dont no if this model the tv screen heats up vs the black box or only the black box heats up while the tv screen feels like standard cold. And im guessing the whole compartment and everything technology is inside the black box because the inside the tv screen is just empty only just the screen to run only. So if the tv breaks down inside it. Do you take the tv screen to Samsung to fix it or you take the small black overheated box to Samsung to fix it ? considering the brain is inside the black box... while the tv screen is nothing more then a viewing screen with just 1 white cable attach to it. That's what i think... Considering that they design it that way... the brain of the tv is inside that black box.. that's why they made it that way in order to get rid of all the mess and cables everywhere connected to a tv as always. But the fact you have all compartments connected only on that black box.. So if the tv inside breaks down because something doesn't work... and u cant see anything on tv... it wouldn't be your large tv screen.. It be the brain of that black box because that's where the machine is running your tv... if that black box was integrated inside that large tv.. then by all means u will have to take the whole tv with you to Samsung to fix it.. But in this case with this technology... if the tv doesn't work.. its coming from the black box... the machine inside it. That's why they took that machine off the tv itself and made it a separated black box away from the tv.. which more likely means the tv does not heat up.. only the black box because the (brain where things are running) see what i mean? If you brought any other brand tv... your buying a tv with the brain function integrated inside that tv screen. In this case the unique of this Samsung model is they took the machine off the tv screen and made it separate device... so if this tv breaks down.. it sure wont be coming the issue from the tv screen but more likely coming the issue from that black box itself which means you don't need to take the whole tv to replace it.. other then replace the black box for a new one or fix it instead...... Thank you.
@@kingspizzer46 From what I understand, the one connect box is only receiving all signals, including power, and putting it in the TV. I may be wrong, but this is how I understood. The heating problem - last night I had disconnected the TV from the box several times, and as I did that I had to touch it a lot, but it did not seem overheated, not even hot. I will however keep this under observation, you really made me curious. As far as the glare issue - it can clearly be seen the difference between this model and my old Sony. Again, this is my case, I don't claim to be universal. In my case, the difference is huge, under the same conditions. But ofcourse, if you only observed it in showroom conditions, with lots of light and lights, it is after all a piece of glass, it's normal to reflect light. But if you went to the showroom to observe it, you should have compared it to other TV, see how they do under the same conditions. Last, but not least, the service issue - it would be normal to also take the box to service if you had a problem with your TV. In the happiest case, where the box only switches sources and put electricity in the unit, you still have to check it for issues. Worst case scenario, your TV is fine and everything runs in the box, so they just replace the box. I don't consider this an issue, but an advantage. Think about it - you have an issue with your TV, you contact Samsung and they connect to your unit remotely, to find that the box is at fault - you take the box to service, instead of large and heavy display. I know I would like that better than to have to take the display down, put it in a large vehicle, take it to service, then come back with it. Makes life easier to carry only one small box, doesn't it?
@@nicolaedumitrescu8413 Hi thanks for the reply. Well yes as i was saying the black box that comes with this tv model is the actual whole brain of the tv itself. Its interesting how they took all that out of the tv screen and convert it into a separate black box.. Which means maybe the actual tv is empty inside other then just basic compartments where the signal gets everything from the black box. So basically the black box is the most crucial part of the whole tv thing. If the tv breaks its more likely the box and not the tv screen. Which means you don't need to take the whole tv screen to replace it or fix it under warranty.. only the box.. I could be wrong but all that stuff that is inside the black box is usually inside in every tv screen.. Which means this model Samsung model took the brain out of that tv screen and convert it into a separate box. Otherwise if this model didn't existed.. that black box will have that inside integrated into the back of your tv screen. So that is what is interesting how they built that with this tv... Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing. Just so you know i call that black box the brain because it contains Power... the engine to have the tv runing.. Its like the engine of a car.. which means the rest of the car has the compartments to make the car move all coming from the engine itself. So the same with the black box. Now about the over heating box... Well i don't have this tv im planning to see if there is a new model coming up in 2022 and want to see what has been changed from 2020/2021 model(s) But yes if your box does not feel like over heated or does not even feel that warm.. Try keep the tv screen switch on to any normal tv channel.... Leave the tv on at least a good 3 hours running as long as you see the content stuff on tv on screen... just leave it on for at least 3 hour and then touch the black box... to see how far did the box became warm or over heating or does it feel almost like hot.. When i was at the showcase electronic store they had this tv and the only thing that felt hot was the box itself i touched it and it felt not warm but almost like hot all over the box..... And i also heard a slight sound of some fan inside of it. Of course im sure it has a fan inside it so that the box does not always over heat otherwise its dangerous considering that black box is where everything is basically running the power.. the signal.. the cables connect to it and so on... However.... make no mistake... the actual black box was inside a sqaure wooden shape box on top of it covering the whole black box out of site view... So maybe thats why the black box was very hot on touch when i saw the black box inside the wooden box.. why was there a wooden box? Its just so it looks more discreet and more tidier and more neat when those tv models are on showcase so they hide the black box into some sort of furniture wooden box over it.. But yeah.. If your box is covered it might heat up fast.. i dont no or if your black box is seating beside the tv in the open it might still heat up. i dont no if u had your tv on for hours and test this out how warm the box is.. but it can be a worried... I mean i had other tv models years ago... sony and so on and when i touch the back of the tv screen it felt one part cold and one part warm or very warm almost like hot from having the tv on allday long..... But since this model does not contain the whole power inside the tv screen.. Samsung took the power out of the tv screen and made a separate box ( the black box for this tv model) But i would be also very curious if the tv at the back of the tv also heats up... it be interesting if that was to happen... Because i mean this tv is design to be stuck against the wall.. and if the back of the tv screen feels hot.. it could melt away your wall against it or something like that from the heat that is coming from the tv screen but yeah... try my way like i said keep the tv on for at least a good 3 hours keep it on to a any channel u want... and then touch the black box and tell me how hot it got... and also listen to the box if u hear any fan turbo runing inside it. Im also suprise this black box that not show any LED lights or numbers or anything in front of it... the unknown if the black box is turn on or turn off.. but then again u just have to look agains the tv screen itself to tell if the tv is on or off... Anyway my friend sorry for the long message. Im curious too and im plan to buy this for sure.. Let me know how you go.. i be happy to answer back. Remember this black box is a new thing in technology or.. at least thats what i seen.... not long ago i thought this was an (old school technology) but maybe not on a tv sort of thing... aniways so i be curious to know if the box itself over heats because that could be dangerous if it catches fire specially if the box is inside the tv unit inside with no open air around it...
@@kingspizzer46 Hi! So, I have checked mine and even though the TV runs for 4-5 hours daily, tv channels, netflix, hbo go and at the end of the day the box feels warm, definitely not hot. Maybe, in the case of a showroom, where there might also be direct sunlight on it, and it runs for maybe 16-18 hours daily, it can get hot, there is no doubt. Also, consider the level of dust it is taking in a showroom vs your living room, which definitely builds up on the fan. Yes, there is also a fan, but I could not hear it until I got my ear 10 cm from the box. But then again, since it was not that hot, it might have a variable speed, which makes sense. In the end, I think that all that - slim display, one cable connection, one small box to be taken to service in case of failure, etc. makes this model a good choice, I really don't believe you have to worry about the heat and the fan noise. P.S. The back of the TV does get warm too, but again, not hot. After all, it is an electronic device running for a few hours, it should warm up.
Great tv but it’s what is on the tv itself that would make me decide and mostly the content is not good particularly the rubbish that is surrounded by advertising so I will buy a TV when the programming comes up to the needs of educated humans and not chimps.
well. i like samsung. however, this exterior design is a GIMMICK.!!! since you have said nothing about audio quality, i am guessing it is low; without a sound system connected. a wall-mounted tv requires concealed wiring; or it just looks CHEAP.!!! conclusion: at least some of this product's shortcomings have been glossed-over. while, superficial bits have been lauded.

Hi Nicolae. How do photos look on the samsung frame? as real as looking at them on a laptop or phone?
@@glamorousphotog They look gorgeous! The art mode and the ambient mode are fantastic, art works look amazing! I haven't tried with my own photos, but I guess it's all down to the quality of your photos. Wanted to try since I got it, but didn't really so far. Will try it soon though and update my comment.
@@nicolaedumitrescu8413 Thanks for the fast response, much appreciated. I guess our smart phone now days have enough High resolution pixels for you to try :)
@@nicolaedumitrescu8413 HAHAHHA Sorry! I would lend you my 50 megapixel camera if I could but with covid and all... :)
Awesome video man! And thoughts on QLED vs OLED?
I have an LG OLED and am considering a frame TV as a secondary TV.
IMO, it is really hard to beat the LG OLED as a TV. I fully expect the OLED to be better than the Frame. However, it cannot display art as effectively as the "Frame TV" because of potential "burn in" worries.
What is the specifications? RAM, storage
Hi sir, pls suggest me which is better samsung frame 55 inch or sony 55 inch
If you want a better image, go for Sony. If you want a fashionable item, go for Samsung
Every TV I've seen from Samsung ends up having these weird problems with Luke turning off and on
thank you.
Does this have mini led backlight?
Hi Adam, how does the display looks in somewhat dark foyer? Can you please keep Frame TV on or it has to switch off when light around it is low?
display looks really detailing even in dark foyer. you can keep it on like an art piece on wall and you can also switch it off, depends on you to be honest.
So, I was wondering how the TV charged. No energy plug? Hahah
Sir sony 55inch me 55x80j or samsung frame 2021 me se konsa accha rahega for better display and sound quality in normal sd and hd channels normal use

Experience tells me to not to buy Samsung TV. My first 2 have lasted several years. The last TV lasted less than 3 years. Very upset with Samsung quality. Do not repair, just throw them out. From the Samsung repair store.

Can’t you snake the wire and not having it hanging? It’s distracting.
No Dolby vision .... Side view angle
It's not meant to be as a TV which has Dolby Vision, as mentioned the main selling point for this is the aesthetic elements of it
Don't buy it to watch content, just hang it as frame
There may be 6 reasons to get one, but I can give you one BIG reason not to. If you have a problem their customer service is HORRIBLE.

Thanks
p.s will there be a new version of this frame tv in 2022 ? im guessing the first frame tv first came out in 2020 am i correct ? and there is a new model this year already which makes version 2... wonder what the next model will be like in version 3 :) that tv u have looks like the first model that came out in 2020 and not 2021 since the new 2021 model does not have the logo Samsung name on the side frame..
Samsung took the power out of the tv screen and made a separate box ( the black box for this tv model)
But i would be also very curious if the tv at the back of the tv also heats up... it be interesting if that was to happen...
Be warned the sound is TERRIBLE. Really tinny as speakers bounce off the wall
Great tv but it’s what is on the tv itself that would make me decide and mostly the content is not good particularly the rubbish that is surrounded by advertising so I will buy a TV when the programming comes up to the needs of educated humans and not chimps.
5x price for a lcd tv hahahahahha
coz its a Qled, not a lcd
well. i like samsung. however, this exterior design is a GIMMICK.!!! since you have said nothing about audio quality, i am guessing it is low; without a sound system connected. a wall-mounted tv requires concealed wiring; or it just looks CHEAP.!!!
