A solid speaker and one intriguing package. It boggles your mind a bit with nothing in the room
@@legione1caponeyou’re not the only one. 😂
I moved from separates (NAD M33 plus speakers) to the Focus 50. Really happy with this move! No more rack for me. Sound quality is really really good! A system that would be able to beat this is not going to blend into our living room and would definitely be vetoed by my family ;-) Using roon and spotify to listen to music and a wisa sound send device to play TV audio. Happy as can be. Highly recommended!
That’s what’s up!! 😉😉❤️❤️
I am really enjoying this series James. That look is so clean. You make a great case for the loudspeakers. Keep up this great work.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
It's cool to hear an American like speakers from Europe, especially Denmark. Best greetings from Switzerland. I'm a Dynaudio User since 15y.
Hey buddy! 😊. Awesome stuff! Love me some Dynaudio. Three pairs in house right now. 🤗🤗
Super review. Looking forward to your Emit and added components to equal the Focus
Thank you. 🙏🏼.
Going to be fun 🤩
Thank you James!
My pleasure buddy.
All things considered, i think this is the future for most people. For audiophiles, i think about half or maybe eventually 25% will insist on separates. For me, the prices will still have to come down, because the hassle of selling all of my gear, plus the fact that it in no way adds up to $11,000, makes it unaffordable at the moment. I know there are less expensive systems, but then you're not getting the same trade. However, i believe these systems will only get better and much more ubiquitous, so, eventually, the stars will align and I'll pick one up. At the moment there are some companies that make it easy to pull components and send them in for repair, but my guess is the majority still make you send in the whole speaker - and if it's a tower, that's a big no for me. Other than that, i think it's a positive direction for the industry.
We built tons of separates systems in the $11K range to try and better the Focus, and came close but not significantly better than the Focus 50. It’s all audiophile all day. 😊👌🫰
I agree! It’s a great option for many modern audiophiles. Also accepted much more out side of the United States. We like our separates here in the states. 😊😊👌
Next step up is Contour , then Conifdence and finally Evidence up the Dyna ladder~ I have been using their Crafft for almost 30 years and its performance is stunning even in today's standard that can compare nicely against their Heritage!
We’ve got dreams like that 🫡😍
What happened to the Denafrips Arce streamer review ???
Coming soon. 😊
We typically spend 4-8 weeks with a product before we review. Lets us do better reviews for you guys. 😊
Is this a trend or dou you guys think that with advances in things like MUCH better Class D power becoming cleaner, Bluetooth getting closer to copper etc., that THIS is the future of Audio? Thanks!
I do…. Check out the review we did on all the Orchard Audio Class D GaN amps. STUNNING!!! Wise man once told me “If you don’t like change, you’ll hate extinction”.
@@abxaudiophiles Hard to hear from an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator of a handmade 2400 Watt Tube Amp. Course, that thing (GS 35) was originally used in German Tanks. And NOT for 40-40,000 htz listening. 😉
I do have to say I really like your content as I seem to be roughly a decade behind, in TECH TERMS. I feel it's much cheaper but better than I'm used to. 🙌🤟
@@sixstringsdown1 Thank you. 😊😉
It’s all fun, I try not to take any of it too seriously. 🤗🤗
@@abxaudiophiles 😎
It is certainly cheaper to put everything in a box, but you are tied to the choices of the manufacturer, and it will be outdated sooner or later. And a loudspeaker cabinet is the worst environment to put electronics in, although MTBF will be low, when it fails it is much more frustrating to get it repaired or replaced.
IMHO the best active system would be something that has the electronics and software outboard, like the new Harbeth NLE or Sun Audio Purified 4.
Endless choices and configurations for sure. Pros and cons to each for sure, and there’s never a one size fits all solution. Most audiophiles have the “black box” syndrome and can’t comprehend not tweaking and adjusting their systems until they conquer and win… 🤣🤣. I’ve been spending a lot of time with All in One units like the Atoll Sda300, PS Audio strata, NAD M33, Axxess Forte, etc. I’m telling ya, there’s something to be said about manufacture synergy! We all live and die by the “bare wire” analogy, so it would make sense the LESS we have in the chain the better shape our source material makes it to our ears. The all in one and speakers, or full boat active speaker is a powerful proposition in that space. We spent weeks on weeks and endless hours curating systems with the $5,500 Evoke 50 and $5,500 worth of gear to try and better the $11,000 Focus 50. I’m not certain we did in any meaningful way….Damn them pros and cons. 😉.
Thanks for commenting and I agree totally. 👍🏼
I'm sorry but, are you guys a dealer? The video just gave me vibes of an advertisement more than anything.
No affiliation. No compensation. That’s not what we do here. I just bring you my experience and thoughts. 👍🏼
Well, I guess that's good then.
@@mikehuntington4440 I think so too. 😊. Glad you’re here. If any of my stuff comes across “sales pitch” it’s just because I’m excited. 😆. We don’t do any paid, sponsored, or influenced reviews. Just my crazy ass and a microphone. 🤣🤣
I'm going to burst the bubble here by three letters..You have to remember there is no endgame there's always someone bigger and better than you..Three capital letters that make these sound average.. And I'm on sound not connectivity because that's just lazy!!
End Game for “Many” not all. We all know there’s no real end game for most of us, but yes, this could be for many folks. Cheers. ❤😊
Also, “average” is a total subjective thing. To some, these will be the best speakers they’ve ever heard in their life, to others they will be MEH…. The less absolutes we try to shove down people’s throats in this hobby, the better off we all will be as a team. 😊
@@abxaudiophiles ATC,, I'm glad you replied twice it means you're committed, like a relationship, which this is. HiFi is a relationship with you and music. It's like love sort of and the speaker is the love bit..The story goes I was contacted by ATC and I had laughed at a comment they made that my 100K Alsyvox's would suck against their 30K active 100's mmmm
Yeah nup
That’s fun too.
Bluetooth 4.2 is disappointing.
Sounds fantastic
Cool, but not for me. I enjoy my separates.
Cool thing about this hobby, options for everyone. 😊😊
