i get back off stage and theres my mom having a guinness with Billie Joe from Green Day, !!! Made my day that did. Dave is so down to earth and lovely, Foo's are Awesome ♥
i remember heard Nirvana for the first time it was one of those bandas that my older cousin liked... then i became fan of foo fighters not because of Nirvana i jut really believed in the foo´s and theres Dave he has been like a role model to me, he is possitive and happy. He is right again, we gotta stick around and enjoy live. Thanks Dave
good interviewer he really gets him to open up about the fun stuff and then it's easier to talk about the hard stuff, respect him and most of all for dave, he's like a normal person when you hear him talking, no bullshit that's what i like about. "I get way more chicks too." awesome!
I love what Dave says about Nirvana, and how much 'fun' they had together as opposed to what Nirvana came to signify 'after' Kurt's death. Straight from the horses mouth...Dave is very cool indeed.
wonder what prodigy festival gig he was talking about... I saw the prodigy followed by the foo fighters at a festival way back in 1997 or something, amazing show... and crazy crowd surfing times :)
@TheWackymachine I wouldn't say he's disgusted, he just doesn't like talking about it. You can tell, because he stops looking at Andrew and kind of just stares out.
Dave reminds me of a hippie. He should of grown up in the sixties. He just seems so free and one of these people that will just cease the moment and life and will not let anyone tell him what to do or how to behave. He has turned out ok though lol. I would love to be more like that.
just disregard that comment. i was having an off day that day, actually an off month. i didn't mean that. i totally believe now that everyone should just appreciate each day we have on this earth and make the best of each day. my faith had been a little shaken when i made that comment and my views have changed now. i want my memories to 100% happy :)
Ummm it's relevant and it's a personal interview. It's a shaping moment in his life.. He would have had the right to exclude certain topics... He didn't, more credit to dave for tackling the past. And it was conducted respectfully
I don't think I've ever seen an interview where he actually talks about Kurt. Lots of Nirvana, but never talking specifically about Kurt. :( I can't imagine how much that effected him.
@MACfoo16 i dont know. the shotgun he supposedly killed himself with was no where near him, fingerprints were never taken. and the man had been there dead for like 3 days until a guy installing security cameras found him. no why was that man in kurts house in the first place to find him? courtney love has nothing but blind greed. its not too much of a stretch to think kurt might have been murdered. but hes attempted suicide more than once
i think it's so shitty how interviewers would always spring questions about Kurt and Nirvana like that. unless he brings it up, or is there to talk about it, people should have left it alone. i love kurt and nirvana but come on! it's just disrespectful.
funny...thinking about it.....does it not seem like some of the most influencial sometimes genius people took off from school early?? just a thought in my own weird way i guess

Dave's so strong and an incredibly driven person.

wow. dave is so inspirational.
best interview ever.
Just when I thought I couldn't love him any more than I already do, he mentioned Green Day.

Thank you

God what a gorgeous
What a smart guy
Words can't describe how happy I am that Dave didn't join the army.

8:07 The Colour and the Shape is the second album, not the third.
"...turn arena into a small club"
go wembleeeeey 2008!
Is it me or after they show the clip of Teen Spirit and the camera goes back to Dave, he all of a sudden looks really kinda......distressed?....
8:05 Third Album? Colour and the Shape?
@DieHardGardenFan from ur name...are u a soundgarden fan? or just gardens?
@TheWackymachine I wouldn't say he's disgusted, he just doesn't like talking about it. You can tell, because he stops looking at Andrew and kind of just stares out.

He should *have
I can feel the disgust and sadness in his face when they ask him about Nirvana or Kurt... :'(
Mr. Dave Grohl in the army???
7:18 It is true.

@AndrewGee69 its the only reason why i wake up in the morning :)
I can't believe he brought up that fact...
4:51
i know but does he think kurt actually killed himself?
Ummm it's relevant and it's a personal interview. It's a shaping moment in his life.. He would have had the right to exclude certain topics... He didn't, more credit to dave for tackling the past. And it was conducted respectfully
ok then, name their 1st three albums
You just had to bring up Kurt’s death...
I don't think I've ever seen an interview where he actually talks about Kurt. Lots of Nirvana, but never talking specifically about Kurt. :( I can't imagine how much that effected him.
i wish i had his mum

so what you are saying is that you would be completely fine if all of your memories were horrible... 100% miserable?
i think it's so shitty how interviewers would always spring questions about Kurt and Nirvana like that. unless he brings it up, or is there to talk about it, people should have left it alone. i love kurt and nirvana but come on! it's just disrespectful.
I suppose he didn`t want the interview to dramatically come down to Kurt`s suicide. And Dave is possibly tired of talking about it?
funny...thinking about it.....does it not seem like some of the most influencial sometimes genius people took off from school early?? just a thought in my own weird way i guess
where's your gum Dave? ;-)
ahh lol sorry nvr mind .. lol
min 4:52 "As we all know Kurt killed himself in '94"
Woah, woah, WOAH! Back the fu%$ up there Bill Gates...Come again?
why should he get hung up on it. its over.
Foo Fighters > Nirvana
no, yes, no.
dave killed kurt
That's a crappy thing to say
