I tried WORLD OF CURLS Curl Activator on Type 4 Hair| My curls POPPED!

So since I tried the carefree curl's gold instant activator on my hair, I decided to try world of curls curl activator. Obviously I am searching for something that will allow me to achieve popping curls.

I went into my moms stash and found the world of curls activator and saud why not!. She has Jheri curls so there is a good stash of prodcuts.
First Impression:
1.The product is wet and sticky but doesn't leave a silky film like carefree curls activator.
2. The product weighs my hair down and I don;t believe it will be dry ( even with a hair dryer) it's wet and sticky but doesn't drip.
3. I tried using my hair drying ( i just got it with a diffuser but I found it was turning my hair into an afro so I stopped - maybe I wasn't using it right ) lol
4. My hair wasn't saturated with water which is why I think I needed a lot more product to achieve maximum curl popage ( yea I said it )
5. It's oily, like my forehead was super shine even when I was wiping it off I was still glowing like a bulb lol

I’m still using this product and my hair has grown so much and gotten thicker. Be consistent, you will appreciate it and so will your scalp. I’ve used absolutely no heat on my hair for 2 years. I am loving and embracing my gorgeous hair!!!

I used this in my hair when I first went natural 14 years ago. It helped my hair grow so much. I just revisited it in my daughters hair a few days ago. I just love it. Moist curls that stay fresh all.day. your curls are popping!😉
They definitely popped lol, I found so many different curl activators stashed away in my bathroom I just had to try.
I do find that I got more defined curls when my hair was extremely wet when I retested this product!
Can you share how you applied it to your hair...process?
Twist outs with this gel is the 💣 my go to gel hands down
I dont mind it but it's a lil greasy for me and doesn't give me what I'm looking for

It did my curls pop but it's too oily and sticky
Definitely oily and sticky lol I wouldnt use it daily because I'll just be a dripping mess lol
I mist with a little water first then apply, I find it want be as oily😊have a great day

Am in uganda but as you know our hair in africa so i was wondering how best can i use worlds of curls to define my hair
I find applying on wet hair works best
You have to a holding gel with this . It will get ride of the frizz. I also wouldn’t apply so much of this product. It is extremely greasy

@@SoftPastelsLife it absorbs into the hair within 4 days, always cover hair with bonnet before bed. I appreciate the moisture, I guess it’s just preference!
@@cjbfire95 Wait ! How is this product even greasy if it’s a gel?🛢️ I thought it was similar to Echo styler gel. I am glad I didn’t buy it.
I’ve tried everything on my sons biracial hair. His stylist recommended this so I’m going to try it. He has beautiful thick hair but but no curl definition. I have to try something I’m going to be ten years using up the stuff that didn’t work. I have curly hair too so I’ll use it but my hair is a lot finer. Wish me luck!
I know the struggle when it comes to finding the right product to help with curl definition so I hope this works for him
Yeah, it would have been nice to have seen if there was any shrinkage, but I guess we'll never know! lol
lol yea, I wanted it out of my hair by the time I was done, didn't like the feel at all.
You still should have wet your hair, the curls would have been more defined and the less gel would have used.
That would have been great to know before I started lol cause I was like why is there so much going on lol thanks for the tip

Which gel do like best out of the Softee and World of curl activator gel ?
It's hard to say but Softee only because it's less oily. However my hair didn't keep the curl much with softee like it did world of Curls
What is your hair type
I'll be honest I'm not sure. I even try doing a test but most people were saying it's a cross between 4a and 4b
