Love Live was the king of the multi media anime idols, surpassing idolmaster by far. But the only thing they can't seem to do right is to make a good game, that's where Bandori, UmaMusume, ProjectSekai, Idolmaster, even D4DJ shine. Literally everyone except LL. I hope they're doing well outside of the games because they ruined it
It really is still bizarre that this game will be closed down in 3 months But for me personally, I feel like the reason SIF2 didn't do well was probably that the gameplay loop no longer sticks with me It sounded contradictory because I really like the gameplay improvements done in SIF2, but everything else felt rather lackluster I do think one aspect is very underrated though, and that's the song descriptions. Seriously, if you like reading, read those while the game is still available. The translation team actually worked hard on it, even getting the Liveshow, seiyuu radio, seiyuu stream references, as originally mentioned in the Japanese text. Like, even down to Emitsun riding a bicycle in 3rd Live during Yume naki Yume wa Yume janai. Additionally, Kokoro no Hane yo Kimi e Tondeke with the symphony orchestra in 6th Live. They also mentioned the R3BIRTH's version of Zensoku Dreamer even when they don't need to. Also Ren (Nagi-chan)'s ballet in Mabataki no Saki e. Those were the parts I initially expected to be completely left out in global versions, but now they are all translated. 600+ SONGS worth of text. Too bad SIF2 is closing soon though...
Yea I agree with you, I really like the gameplay improvements but there's not too much else that adds from SIF. I'm definitely gonna pick it up every now and then just coz why not so I'll look into the song descriptions. If it's as you say then its definitely worth praising the translators, I'll try my best to go through everything haha. Thanks for the info :))
I havent really interacted with Love Live since SIF shut down, so this was a really interesting video for me! I like how you dont rush going through the different elements
I played SIF for 5 years straight, as well as SIFAS since it closed. Here's hoping they decide to make it playable offline. SIF has been there for like 1/5 of my life so I hope they do.
I'm really sad that this game is going down so quick. I've overall been enjoying it quite a bit, stupid bugs (connection errors EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR, really???) aside. It's easier than Project Sekai, but there's something really satisfying about putting your idols in a semicircle and tapping them on the head > : ). The game feels really wonky to me on default settings. I think it's the deceleration of the notes as they come toward the icons. Setting the note speed to max helps a lot imo. Am disappointed that the Genjitsu no Yohane and Hasunosora songs don't have masters (and Niji barely does), but it is exciting that their songs are in the game. Really could've been the Love Live game to unite them all. ;_;
I hope that sif 2 is a lesson to bushiroad to actually take their time with a game and not just reskin sif. I’m like 100% sure bushiroad will still milk another game outta LL I just hope next time it’s actually good next time

im sorry, if this is a reskin it would actually be good. but nah, they made several gameplay downgrades. i'd argue it is worse than SIF1 in many ways
I already realized that sif 2 would be complete disasters after shut down they 2 predecessor which much better than sif 2 itself
they could just let the old games coexist with the new ones, you know. like CS 1.6 and CS : Source
