  • 4/17/23: Daniel Vogelbach homered and Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo each had three hits as the Mets beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-6 in the series opener at Dodger Stadium.

    to the guy who sprinted pushing people out of the way to catch vogelbach's hr just to miss it and not realize it went back onto the field- youre no longer allowed to try to catch homeruns and no longer allowed to bring a glove to games.

    All of Baty's ABs look impressive. Stop playing no-hit Dido and play Alvarez. You bought up the promising prospects, give them consistent time to prove themselves. What's the worst they can do? Hitting .100 like Escobar and Dido?

      With the pitch clock, some of the timing is considered for when the pitcher is set. So he was considered set already when he had his feet spread out a bit but his glove up and ready to pitch. Once he moves that front foot a second time, that is a balk. Before the pitch clock, the argument would be that he isnt really set, he just always does that. but now that the pitcher has to be set by a certain time, it gets considered as him being set.

    well, as usual, buck the schmuck leaves a pitcher in too long, shock!. This is is MO, and letting Peterson stay into the sixth was another in a long line of unforced mistakes by buck. Mets a fortunate they won, Nimmo, Marte, Lindor are exceptional fielders whio make plays that are superb and keeps Mets in the game, but Buck needs to go.
