For shop tools, any quality 2(or 4) pawl 60 tooth gear ratchet will will provide 120 positions, each at 3 degrees of arc separation. Most higher quality 3/8" and 1/2" drive ratchets are in this category. The only issue with a "Sprag" clutch type ratchet is that it is much weaker than a pawl type ratchet--and once you exceed it's torque limit, it's junk. So, fine tool for the trail, not so much for the shop.
I appreciate that you and many other RUclipsrs are being upfront about their relationship with the product/company prior to doing a review. At first I thought these were tools you randomly found on Amazon and wanted to share with your viewers. It’s still a cool tool.
I have the black Unich stepless ratchet. Been using it for a year. Relative from overseas got them for me as a gift. It's pretty tough. I was skeptical about it at first because it's hollow but it managed to bust pretty tough bolts. Love it!
@@TheBikeSauce I checked the price of the Lyzene and I think it's actually less, but I am not sure it has the analog pressure gauge which is a nice feature. I bought the Uniche ratchet tool some time ago and I like it a lot. Good quality and very handy.
@AJ XOXO Did you Fail your English Class? Do you have problem with reading and comprehension? Nobody said here Lezyne Invented the pump. This is a matter or Patent which is nowadays nobody really cares anymore. But ill keep supporting original manufacturers. I pay a lot but it's original and will last for decades.
Personally I use a conventional mini pump combined with a hose from an old car tire fit set. I have put the brass core of a car valve (stripped by the rubber) into the other side of the hose, so you can put it into the normal car type connector of the pump and on the bike you can screw it directly on car type valves or on a adapter on a Presta valve. By having the air outlet on the side you can put it vertically on the floor and use it like a floor pump.
I bought a Toprak mini rachet, initial thinking I would just leave it in my bike pack. But I now keep it at arm's reach in my shop at all times and find myself using it alot, it's SUPER HELPFUL for strange geo bottle cages and alot of seat post binder bolts. I'm sure this one would have the same benifits
These look pretty well made. One-direction ratchet that you need to flip is a bonus, one thing less that can break and the whole ratchet can be more simple and sturdy.
The thing is you only know how good a tool is over time. Once you get issues with ratchet devices, it is pretty much junk. That is why I shy away from stuff in flashy colors with a low sticker price.
I have one of these, one word of warning, don’t use this to try to remove seized bolts, the threads on the handle will sheer. But I still bought another one ( and a pedal wrench) because it’s so damn convenient
you can get an electric pump for aobut 40 bucks thats not bigger than a little hand pump. and they actually work. fits in my pump slot in my backpack. the pump i got even charges devices in a pinch.
Hmmm the first all"in"one tool very interesting ? For the bike pump I have used and still use that type of pump but I try to stay away from the hose thread is some kind of metal and the other end plastic. The thread start to strip even if the pump is capable pressure for your tires.
New to your channel, and I like the content that you make. First time to see the Uniche brand and I just learned about their mini pump. I'm looking for a not-so-immediate upgrade to mine, but I've been burned before. Currently have a Decathlon mini pump, but before that I had a Lezyne (forgot the specific model). After a few months, the aluminum parts started to corrode into powder and rendered the pump unusable. I do hope Uniche had that sorted out with their product.
I have a Teng tools mini ratchet they have decent enough engagement, and good bits, tighter tolerance in the bolts than most tools I've tried, atleast Bondhus/Parktool, I notice it some might not. But checked out what the local tools store had, I saw it and bought it. I also have a bits set with security Torx bits.
Does the pump screw onto the valve stem or the valve core? I've had different bands of pumps that use a flexiable hose that screw onto the valve core and all have taken out the core at different times when using the different pumps. I've gone to a pump that attaches to teh valve stem.
I bought the High Volume pump about a year ago. I tried it once in my garage and it seemed like it worked fine. Two months later I pulled out the pump to fill my tube after a big puncture. Two pumps into the refill and the rubber hose snapped in half. It was 70 degrees, so it wasn't brittle due to cold. The rubber was hard and not very flexible. I contacted Uniche, they never responded. Maybe I got a bad one, but regardless, I was out $34.
I totally agree, a pump proper carried lasts life long , on the bike they die fast, specially here on a arid place, the hotness and the UV radiation hardens the internal rubbers and weakens the plastics.
@@JL-up8nh I have a dropper post there so that won't work, also depending on seat tube diameter it won't work, and how do you easily gett it out if it gets stuck? that makes no sense.
Cool review(s)! I use the Uniche 16g cartridge inflator and plug combo unit. This is also well made. I like being able to inflate through the plug stabber.
The affiliate link for the ratchet tool goes to Amazon and currently says it’s unavailable. This comment is 1 day after the video was posted. Maybe they sold out quickly?
I don't see the need for the big knob and bulky handle, but must tbe nice for big hands. But if you nee a 5ool for tight space the huge handle is an disadvantage. So it's a pass for me.
Nicely said very informative like the tool the mini pump not so much i have a lezyne version that will probably last me for ever as i dont like it its soooo sooo slow the cheaper pastic mini pump with thumb lock is way better .
You didn't test the pump. Compare it to your normal carry. Does it inflate faster? Is the max pressure achievable? Mount it, and see if it falls off. Nice looking products, but where is the added value to your review?
I don't think the first one is really practical. Try to screw brake caliper or a seat - I am sure there will be no clearance at all, because I have hard time with some multitools that are much smaller like the topeak rocket rachet which barely have clearance.
The title, should cost more. Will make the vendors jack up the price. Think before you publish then again, you did say they are sent to you so that's how you pay them back.

Thanks for the tip! Great tool
In some cases the valve came out, when you unscrew the hose. This is the reason, why i don‘t use this pump anymore
The pump looks like a knock-off of the Lyzene mini pump I bought several years ago, no doubt cheaper though
It’s definitely similar. Quality is surprisingly good
@@TheBikeSauce I checked the price of the Lyzene and I think it's actually less, but I am not sure it has the analog pressure gauge which is a nice feature. I bought the Uniche ratchet tool some time ago and I like it a lot. Good quality and very handy.

Yeah the ratchet is cool but I’m not sure I want to support a company that rips Lezyne’s entire ID and product range

So they mounted an Onyx hub to a handle 🙂 Thanks!
I built up an onyx hub for a customer recently, very cool... I love the idea of a perfectly silent hub. I'm not fond of the angry bee's following me
Haha sounds right
@@MrJonas2255 Onyx Vesper has an iroronic name, might not be intentional, vesper means wasps in Norwegian. 😜

do you mean Topeak?
@@boblarsen7984 yes he dies.
Yes I bought that Topeak kit myself, I love it! More useful than I expected, and it's an absolute God send if you have a breakdown on the trails.

Nice. There must be an upper limit on torque
This pump appears to be a near copy of the Lezyne Pressure Drive.
Ughh I want that ratchet tool. Not available om Amazon rn 😭😭

I received the ratchet yesterday. It seems like a great value. It's nicely made and designed. And it hails from Taiwan. Yes!
Nice!
I would still consider this tool set for emergencies mostly. Torquing a lot on aluminum threads isn't a great idea imho.
Hmmm the first all"in"one tool very interesting ?

Thanks for the heads up on these products. The pump seems cool but as of July 17 2022 it is out of stock. Guess it's too good.

The wrench is my go to tool in the shop.
Now they will, thanx Bike Sauce 👍
I like that the hex bits and extender are housed in the handle. This will be easier to carry around on my bike.
Onyx hubs are infinite points of engagement hubs.. plus they are completely silent when free-wheeling... It weighs more though.
The high pressure pump would be decent for both tires and most forks. Rear shocks, not so much
Hey, Whats the down tube bag? looks awsome
Looks like the Lezyne mini pump i have. Where’s it made and how much is it?
Well thanks for teasing me with stuff that is not available on Amazon anymore.....
Nice review

0:50 Where are you getting your numbers from? Most standard ratchet now has 72 tooth so that means 72 engagement points on that revolution.
Well presented review
That pump is pretty sick!
these are awesome. thanks for the video!
The pump seems nice. I agree with you, I too keep a pump in my pack, never on a bike, it will get muddy and can get damaged so bad idea.
Put it in your seat tube.

Amazon annoyingly don’t show the price when they’re out of stock so does anyone know how much the pump is?
The pump lock very similar to topeak's RaceRocket pump
It’s awesome to hear someone intelligent say “stupid”
Lol
I never claimed to be intelligent 😆
Have you received word if the items are going to be in stock anytime soon? Thanks! Great vids!
They said they actually already restocked once, and they're planning another restock as soon as they can

Nice. Spindatt has a nice video on that tool
onyx hubs are instant engagement. pumps that need to be threaded to the presta have the tendency to remove them

They replied to me and said they are restocking now 🤷♂️
I bought one of those tools at a bike show a few years ago. I think it was under £10. Bargain!
The pump looks and functions exactly like my pro bike tool pump,
I bought this multitool and I love it.
Nothing should cost way more, that's anti-consumer.
Thanks, this was great! Gonna pick these 2 items up based on this review.
Nice!
These look perfect for my orange daily commuter. And I'm sad they are out of stock lol
I wish I could get this in Germany!
Hmm. Both links take you to an amazon page that tells you that the item is unavailable.
I have the ratchet tool. Outstanding 😊
Looks like the high volume pump is already unavailable on Amazon. :(
Lever action connection to valve is way more important than the a gauge . A screw on connection is sub optimal
"You Neesh"
I checked with my spanner guru and that was his very self assured pronunciation :)
I would lose those bits on the trail for the ratchet. I know my weaknesses.
You did a good job with this vid.
The mini pump looks very similar to the Lezyne Pocket Drive.
The build in gauge is a very useful add though!
I click on your link to Amazon and found the Multitool to be unavailable. I love high quality tools that don't cost premium German prices.

not available on Amazon anymore :(
dont get too excited about those design and innovation "awards." there are some that can literally be bought.

Followed the Amazon links and both items are currently unavailable.
damn nolan your clout has sold out the mini pumps :)

Im buying 2! one for me one for my grandma!
They had to go to multiple spraugs when they tried to use forty tooth sprockets. The high torque would break the two point ones would break instantly.
dang! unavailable on amazon.
The pump is a carbon copy of a pump from Lezyne that I have.

Most awards for products are a paid for service. Including things such as JD Power and Associates awards that car manufacturers boast all the time.
It also looks like that factory is using an almost identical design to a Lezyne pump I have.
Let me guess, most are “only available in the USA”?
Lots of good ratchets have very high points of engagement.. 100+ is common. Some are about 120.
DAMN. thank you
How much does it cost?
No inflation time test?
No way way to large to carry, but very nice.
These items are already unavailable. I wonder what's up.
Awesome tool ✔️
Onyx hubs have infinite points of engagement and make zero noise.
Craftsman ratchets have 20 ish ratcheting pawls, real commercial tool have double/triple the number of pawls.
These are the kind of items that eBay pirates buy and resell for a big profit.

Not exactly a ratchet, most likely a sprag clutch. But they call it a ratchet for marketing purposes.
hand pumps are outdated since the introduction of the mini battery run compressors .
