What a lovely craft! And you solved the mystery of what went wrong when the unfortunate accident happened to the last skein Of thread I bought. Which was also the first skein I bought.
Now I need to buy 2 colours so I can braid it - I braid my hair every day so I feel quite confident about that part :)
Do you leave the ends of the big braid just smoothly hanging, out would it be better to secure them with a piece of thread?

Since I do not braid well, I usually do not use this methods. To answer your question, I would leave the end smoothly hanging so that it won't stuck in the process of pulling. The braiding itself will (should) secure the threads.

SashiCo 刺し子 I enjoy braiding and have been exploring ways to tie off braided hair without elastic. Interesting journey!

Why not make a ball of the skein?
Really wondering, its the usual when working with skeins.
The other question , is z-spinned or s-spinned?
    Thanks for this channel.

I came here because I opened it wrong and got all kinds of knotty. I tried for longer than I’m comfortable saying and wanted to die. I had to split it in reasonable lengths and I’m doing what I can with the pieces now lol
