Hi from Australia - beautiful build but by law here, every person travelling in the vehicle must have a seat with an approved 3 point seat belt. How does this work in the USA?
I’ve seen gazillion videos on mobile living, including skoolies, and everyone always says it’s the best they’ve ever seen…but this one REALLY is the best I’ve ever seen. Brilliant design and first class execution and build by Paved to Pines! All that said, the accompanying music to this video doesn’t work at all for me, I’m having to watch it in increments so as not to climb the wall. But viewing this Rolls Royce of skoolies is well worth the effort of getting past the music. All involved did a stellar job, enjoy Walter!
The toilet is outside of the shower, the entire layout is spacious (with a wonderfully functional kitchen, and a FULL SIZED FRIDGE!) and accommodates guests, plenty of storage… you’ve created a masterpiece, my friend. Best I’ve seen so far.
This is literally the inspiration for the floorplan I have in mind for my skoolie build with minor tweaks and add-ins to make it mine and unique to me 😅
I absolutely love this setup, only thing I would have changed is I would have wanted a stackable washer/dryer instead, everything else is amazing! Very well thought out. Great job!
Thanks Shannon!! I might have to agree with the washer/dryer comment! For me, I feel the decision would be occupancy. If the owner is flying solo (or a couple), then combo unit is awesome and saves space. For families, I think a stackable is a great choice!
Amazing. I would have to have a section for my 2 boys to sleep. I wish this kind of living was possible in the UK but I would rather live like this in the US
This unit is so impressive. I have been thousands of bus videos and I must state that this is the absolute top rated bus conversion! I would hired you in a moment to built my bus. I just need $100,000, but I would need an area for kids to sleep. You deserve the Academy Award for bus built!!!!
Have to say this by far is the best layout design I’ve seen in my months of research. Open and airy, lots of natural light and just looks incredibly comfortable. I’m currently saving and planning for a flat nose conversion hopefully within the next 12-18 months. Would love to have y’all do it but I’m on South Florida and y’all are in Canada. Big draw back for me. But I have to say I love the attention to detail and it looks like all components have very good service access. That’s a huge build factor for me! Also have to say this is one of the best descriptive walk through videos I’ve seen yet. Awesome job!!! Can’t wait to begin my build. Thanks for posting this great video!!!

After watching the lock picking lawyer videos, that padlock in the back scares me for 2 reasons: 1) it looks like it would be easily picked/broken with the right tools and 2) if something goes wrong in the bus it cannot be opened in case of an emergency. Other than that it is a beautiful conversion!!
Padlocks are basically ornamental for anyone who can use a basic lock picking kit. I took a lock picking class and was able to open all the locks even the most advanced ones in under two minutes each. And I have fine motor skills challenges bc of dyspraxia.

Awesome awesome build. There’s three minor things I would change though. One the overspray on the mud flaps, two the padlock on the back door and three the dated halogen headlights. I love the layout and the styling is timeless
This is almost my dream tiny home/skoolie! I'd have to swap out the padlock for a proper lock, and I'd definitely have a window at the kitchen sink. This is an amazing build, well done!
This is awesome. I really wants to see a bus conversion with a lifting second floor bedrooms. I like your L Sofa but those pillows just want cut the job. Everything else are amazing.

Very nice and well finished you. I understand the layout but is there not a lot of weight on the driver's side with all your appliances, water and grey tank. Also the baltic birch is very nice but does that not make the unit very heavy. What is the GVW on the unit. I am sure the freightliner can handle it but seems might be a little different to drive all the weight on one side. But truly a beautiful looking bus.

On the passenger side, we’ve positioned the power system and batteries, a toolbox planned for fuel/genset transport, and the largest of all.. the diesel fuel cell! You’re right this won’t touch the freight liners GVW. The ride improvement post conversion is impressive. I’ll track down those weights for you as it was getting checked at customs on route to San Francisco!

amazing except for the couch/bed I have to wonder with it being many separate pieces and leather how easy and often you slide while sleeping had it been me I would have done it in sectional( cloth) not built and a with a raised full sz bed above for guest
I have to say... That thing is impressive!!! The windows and the roof raise just give so much space. The L couch and L kitchen works nicely. My only concern, the water system, the valves, and the filter. While under the bed makes great sense, have you thought about the access when there's a mattress wedged on top of the panel. I was just thinking that putting those controls and filter closer to the back door...

Best design out of all the vids I have watched so far. Attention to detail in kitchen and bathroom is amazing! People skimp on the kitchen and bathroom and it "drives" me nuts. haha not these guys. wow
So, where does the co-pilot sit? On, the slippery leather couch? So sad for the pilot to have to navigate this beast alone. IMO, it’s always nice to have an extra pair of eyes up front. With the current setup, the drivers eyes will unconsciously get diverted from the road when communicating with spouse in the back. And during hard braking, there is nothing to prevent occupants and loose objects in back from flying forward into the wide open cab😱
Russ Schoonmaker - I agree. I'm glad the young couple likes it. I like the wood they used in the build, but it's basically like many others I've seen. Not a fan of the "slippery leather couch" cushions. The round back cushion would not work with me laying on it as a bed. I'd fall through the crack real quick. The hallway pull-up hatch could've been hinged on the wall side for easier access, instead of having to lean over it from the bathroom.
I’m sure they will agree with you soon after they have taken their first 100 miles. It looks like they can put in another captains chair or a folding seat by the driver. I’ve seen so many who regretted not having 2 seats and have changed it.

Yikes! Padlocking the rear door on the outside makes the bedroom a death trap!!!! Everything else is spot on. Very nice.
