This idea is actually cool! It would maybe be difficult to implement all the functions, mainly the opening parts and the multiple trailer things, but it would be awesome, and it could be fairly effective

It's gonna be a gamechanger, no wedge mods are gonna be needed anymore, no searching trough inventory to find the right dimensions, it's gonna make everything so much easier to build, and open up a lot more options for shapes and everything! That's a really good move, good job Axolot!

yeah, wanted to say what about wedge corners and rounded parts
When I saw this my question was kinda this - it shows dragging to *build*, but what happens when you drag to delete? That is, you drag a big triangle, great. Now start deleting a triangle smaller than what you just created (say, back in the corner). Can you then do things like build a slanted windshield? (assuming you've got a transparent wedge block)

Edit: Make a vehicle similar to the drillship that has deployable modules and multiple drills on the front
Combine that with the nomad series and boom you have volcanoids just without the volcano so its scrapanoids?
I like the idea of the drillship shaped vehicle, but I think it's going to lag as hell

Maybe build the modules into the walls and it will fold in when the wall folds

It shouldn’t cause lag because there are just a couple of bearings and maybe a piston cushion to hold it in place
So it unfolds the right way up and folds with the bottom to the folding wall

For the WedgeGang™ merch, I have 3 shirts ideas for you :
- Literally a wedge block, at a 3 dimensional angle, and potentially some writing above saying "Wedge Gang".
- Wedge background, like the 3d cubes that stick with each others to create a pattern, exept it's not bricks but wedges.
- "Wedge Science" or "Wedge Theory" (or something like it) that is a diagram showing each wedge angle for base dimesions (1:1 is 45° , 2:1 is 26.5° , 3:1 is 18.4° , 3:2 is 33.6° , etc... )
Seriously excited for chapter 2 what are the possibilities of a pin?

Wedge merch should be a 1×1 wedge plushie that says wedge gang on it.
I got a possible idea for a wedge gang shirt. The shirt could list some benefits of the wedge, like how in rpg games some items could add benefits like speed, health, or damage. Stats for the wedge could include +10 armor, +25 speed, and +50 style.

Wedge gang merch would have wedges all over it. For example, a shirt that says "wedge gang" and that text would be made of wedges.
Say, does anyone know what the weight of the dressbot is comparatively to other devices? Can't really verify it in creative and I'm trying to build my own "nomad base" concept fitted with amphibious properties. I intend to have it balanced out so it doesn't tip over one side.
So far, these are the comparisons I've made:
Refine bot = 1
Craftbot =1
Resource Collector = 3
Large Chest = 12
Engine = 36
Concrete Block 3 = 216
(As in, it would take 216 Concrete Block 3 to balance out vs. one Refine bot)
This info should help pretty much anyone balance out their designs. Remembering that leverage can also be applied to multiply the force exerted by a block or device pushing down is also a factor (IE:The further out it is, the lighter it can be to balance out), it shouldn't be that hard to make a steady vehicle.
Number of weight bars * volume (And some divide for seats)
Look at the pictures of the underground station. If you look closely in the bottom left of the first one there is a group of sleeping pods. These help show the scale of the station. This place is massive.

10:55 the speed solution is non sense because you can go faster than the controler spee by just stacking bearing an going as fast as gas engines

@@apersunthathasaridiculousl1890 at max speed, they do 1 step per second, so 1 full rotation per second,
if you stack 2 bearings, it double the speed, 3 bearings, triple the speed, etc... an they are quite powerfull so it will turn it without problem unlike an engine which you need to upgrade to get th same force (because you add torque, not speed)

I think that we finally have the use for the chemical container. My theory is that the sticky wheels will use chemicals as fuel because you can see some of the goo coming off as you drive, and if they run out they will turn into what we saw when they didn’t have the goo.
11:00, there is a simple solution. Use a controller to lift a weight, which them falls and spins lever fast enough to generate free power. I'm sure it'll take longer, but may still be a viable for at base generators.
Looking forward to the multiplayer challenges that will come from what the sticky wheels allow.
I'm honestly the most hyped for the tuxedo and the tophat.

*Here's what bothers me about wedge-scaling:*
• Does a 2x1x1 scaled wedge cost 1 wedge block or 2? Does a 3x1x1 cost 1, 2, 1.5 or 3 wedge blocks?
• If a haybot attacks that 2x1x1 scaled wedge and breaks it, does it break the whole thing as one block?
• If we have a massive 15x15x15 scaled wedge, assuming it costs over 1000 wedge blocks, and a haybot tries to attack it, does it have increased durability due to how blocks it's made up of?
• If you remove a 15x15x15 scaled wedge do you get all the wedge blocks back that it cost to make that scaled wedge?
• If any size scaled wedge always only costs 1 wedge, what's to stop us from exploiting that and make them VERY big to save on parts for say armor for our farms?
• If bigger scaled wedges are more durable, how will we be able to tell when a block is about to break?
• And if it has higher durability, will it auto-regen durrability over time or will damage retain indefinitely?
(those last 2 can be an issue 1 single giant scaled wedge cost your build alot of wedge blocks)
• If a haybot attacks a scaled wedge, does it attack an individual wedge block?
• So if that same haybot destroys a single wedge block that makes up a scaled wedge, does the scaled wedge auto change it's shape to match it's new form (like going from a 1x1x4 to a 1x1x3).
• If the above 2 are correct, how will the game know which way to adapt the shape? What if haybot attacks the back corner (right angled corner)?
_There are alot of conceptual issues with any implementation of this no matter how you actually implement it._
_Every single possible way you could do it would only introduce problems/be problematic when it comes to the destructive/constructive/cost/modularity side of the concept, they all kinda conflict with eacother in a way that doesn't work._

For the wedge gang merch, there is already a wedge gang emoji on the discord. That on a shirt, either as a large symbol or a small thing in the area where you might find a breast pocket on a formal shirt.

One option for a wedge merch could be your wedge car on a shirt or a sticker in the style of the hank merch maybe?

My vision of the wedge gang shirt:
Wedge gang tm on top with a wedge font and a giant highlited wedge in the middle. It would also work in a hoddie but in the back and a small wedge in the front part.
For some wedge gang merch you could just do a simple design with a basic 1x1 wedge on the front and "Wedge Gang" written on the back with your logo under the "Wedge Gang"
