Here's me, catching up, three days behind... hehehehhe... Miss Fiona, this is absolutely BRILLIANT!! Im in love w this idea... I am so much like you, and cant spare the thought of destroying the larger images.. hence ive barely touched my copies... AND... Miss Wendy, gave you a very nice plug this mornin too.. well deserved my love... You are doing a wonderful job. Much Love from across the pond. xx
Ive only had one Timmies paper pad, but i just splurged and bought Reminisce book 2, 3, 4 & 5. Huge splurge, Saw them on SevenPlaza.. fell in love... :))
Hello! I am here today watching my first video because Wendy showcased your channel on Wendy's Journal Adventure. How wonderful that she shared your work with the rest of us! You're delightful and very creative! I have subscribed to your channel as I look forward to following you. I really enjoyed watching your thought process. Thank you! Cynthia
One, glad Mr. F is feeling better! Two, this turned out to be an awesome way to keep these gorgeous images in tact….so to speak. Three, like Timmy? Love and obsessed is more like it! TFS
I have all Edith Holden books and didn’t know what to do without making a big mess of it. You are helping me so much thank you. Please keep up with your lovely work.
You just landed on my home page, and I am so glad! I LOVE this card design; it could easily stand on it's own as a lovely greeting/birthday/holiday/etc. card, also. Your work is so neat, clean, and precise. I love the care with which you work. Thank you. I will be watching all your videos now. Cheers! (PS . . . I LOVE Timmy's products, and I have a lot of them!) Oh, and whenever I hear the saying, "Bob's your uncle," I am reminded of Alfred Hitchcock's thriller, "Frenzy." Shudder and chills! Great movie!
Hi Kathryn. What a lovely comment, thank you. Yes, I hadn’t thought of them as being greeting cards but you are quite right, thanks. Thank you for joining me, welcome 🌹🌺🌹
This series has been soooo inspirational for me to crack on and finally make some Edith ephemera. I found my copy at a library book sale, and held onto it for well over a year. I finally disassembled the book and have spent way too much time shuffling through the pages, trying to figure out how to optimize the beautiful images and text. Thanks so much for making these videos; I will definitely be giving some of your creative ideas a try! Happy New Year from NE Florida!
Hi Brenda. How lovely living in Florida. Yes, I spent a long time shuffling Edith papers when I first started too. My best advice is to hide some of the pages. Don’t pre-select, just leave yourself about 8 pages or 4 double pages and work on those. It might focus your mind. Hope it goes ok 🌼⭐️🌼
I started doing these yesterday, following your directions. I love how they look and will do it for other Images. I have also started the hidden paper clips. Thank you Miss P for your wonderful directions.
Glad I found you by searching for inspiration to use my Edith Holden book as I was hesitant to cut into it. Now I look forward to making a journal with it... I will also look forward to what you make with Tim's papers. I was very fortunate to take a class from him, he is an amazing teacher. Thank you...
I wait for and watch your videos every day. I am gathering all the information that I can do that I will have some idea of what to do when I can begins journal making. I am heaven forbid(lol) still working, but I work from home so I am able to watch as I work. I will retire later this year yay!!!! I did make one journal for autumn which turned out very well, but I gave it to my sister for her birthday back in October.
Hi Ellen, well done on making your sister a journal. Now you’ve made one there will be no stoping you. I like that I keep you company in the morning. Thanks for your kind words ⭐️🌼⭐️
@@MissPaintalotSo happy to have found a great inspiration on how to use my Edith Holden books!❤️ Can you please let me know what kind of paper you are using please? I want to start a tea dyed batch of larger paper, but yours is very nice!! Thank you!😊 Diane from 🇨🇦
SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I absolutely LOVE every time you say “cut the fluffy bit!” Daughter gets here TOMORROW with my EDITH!! Cannot wait to see my girl, have her in my arms (and have Edith in my hands!) 😂
I may have as many Tim Holtz supplies as you do!! Can't wait to see how you use it! I also have multiples of Edith Holdens books! I have never made a journal..just collecting things to use!
I am watching for now. I'm getting over the flu so haven't been in my craft room for well over a week. I love Edith and have her book. When I'm up to it I plan to rewatch and craft along. Thank you for making these videos!
Oh Pamela. I’m so sorry you’ve had flu. We had flu a couple of years ago and ended up in hospital. I hope you enjoy crafting along when you are feeling up to it ⭐️🧡⭐️
I'm glad that Mr F is recovering. Thank you for another gorgeous make Fiona. Will be adding this onto the list of makes for my 3 fold lapbook ( your series). I've completed section three today with your help of course. It's like having a friend in my craft room with me. Section 2 tomorrow and then onto the tags, journal cards and some of your other Edith Holden makes. May have to purchase a new book though to complete it 😂 or that is what I'm saying to Mr J!! X
Hi Sioned. I’m really sorry it’s taken me so long to answer this comment. I do really appreciate your comments so don’t think for a moment that I don’t. Yes Mr J, the girl needs a new book lol 🤣⭐️🤣
Hi Fiona, Oh boy today was wonderful. I hated for the video to end. I am going to order the card stock for backing. That paper is quite expensive almost 55.00. I want to do your whole series. I am a huge Edith Holden fan. I do like Tim Holtz, I have never worked with his papers. Maybe you can give us a heads up on the pads we will need to create along, so we can order and allow for shipping time. Also will we need other Tim Holtz supplies? One thing I so enjoy about you is your pride of workmanship. Your sewing looks so lovely, hopefully one of these days I can get a machine. Have a great evening. Hugs, Julie
Thank you Julie. I’d really like to let you know which Timmy stuff I’ll be using but I have a VAST array, some that’s even discontinued. I really don’t know what I’m going to use until I use it. I’m sorry that’s not very helpful. 💕🌸💕
I have a ton of Timmy too so bring it on!! LOL I have a Edith book but too pristine to cut up. I am looking for a very used copy but hard to find one in US for good price! Glad Mr. F is doing better!
Absolutely beautiful. Your makes just get better and better. I am using your ideas for another task I have to do and will be starting Edith as soon as it is finished. Might need to collect some ribbons and lace 🤣
Yes, you definitely can but it’s a copyright infringement and thus illegal. The books were printed from 1977 onwards and obviously are still in copyright. It’s such a shame as photocopying them would be much cheaper!
I am watching in awe of your eye for design & using the gorgeous Edith paper to make it even more beautiful. I have an Edith book that I got at the botanical garden in Sydney Australia. It's has none of the aged paper look, so I just found the smaller version that is old & aged paper. I love it so much but I'm gonna practice on some of my other botanical books before cutting in to it! Happy New Year! Michell
Great idea for these larger images. As I was watching you trying to decide where to cut the image with the bird, I wondered if you could have cut it horizontally. Then the top but could flip up for journaling. I honest made sense.
Hello Fiona, hey I’ve been making Edith, I made the one you made here and gages and journaling cards. And I was looking at you sewing machine I think you and I have the same one? Mine is a brother quilting sewing machine. I really like it so far.
Mine is a Brother innovis A50 I think. I haven’t had it that long. I’ve got a really posh pffaf but it was too big, took up the whole desk and I just wanted a machine that sewed straight and zigzag. I’m really, really pleased with it. 🧡⭐️🧡
Good morning Fiona, I don’t know if you know or not, but here in America our pages are 8 1/2 by 11 inches, so if we fold the in half it makes our pages 8 1/2” tall by 5 1/2” wide.
Thank you for that. I’ve just measured some of the wider pieces and there’s only one, the beautiful bird, that is too wide. I shall ‘doctor’ it lol ⭐️🧡⭐️
Ooo!! How interesting. I believe Edith is hard to find but not impossible. I think some people get them from abe books or world books but you have to be patient. ⭐️🧡⭐️
I don't have a Edith book but have several botanical books that I can use the same concepts my goal is to use what I have this year and maybe the next 5 years lol
Another great idea! I can never bring myself to cut up those images. Now I can, and just piece them back together. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thank you Corinne. I’m glad you like the idea ⭐️🌼⭐️

These turned out beautiful! I've got to get some of that cream colored paper.
I use SO much cream paper and card. I must use more of them than anything else I think ⭐️🧡⭐️

You can colour photocopy this vintage collectable book then cut out the photocopies. Thereby protecting the valuable original from butchering.
Yes, you definitely can but it’s a copyright infringement and thus illegal. The books were printed from 1977 onwards and obviously are still in copyright. It’s such a shame as photocopying them would be much cheaper!

Great idea for these larger images. As I was watching you trying to decide where to cut the image with the bird, I wondered if you could have cut it horizontally. Then the top but could flip up for journaling. I honest made sense.
It’s the width that’s the problem. It can’t really be any more that 5” or there about. 🌼⭐️🌼
Like them!
A perfect solution!
