What great projects. Imagine finding a hidden fireplace in your bedroom! You’ve done a beautiful job with it. Cleaning up your greenhouse, baking muffins, repairing a lovely pastel quilt, sitting by the fire with your adorable dog-what a lovely way to spend an autumn day. Thank you for sharing with us.
As a new subscriber you amaze me at the many things you do with such comfort and ease. You are inspiring and you give many ideas that I could try to create. ❤
I love to watch your videos. I, too, love a neat, clean and aesthetically pleasing home. The painting, repairs, gardening and cooking are all wonderful ❤❤❤
Thank you! This is the first time I've done a video of a mix of things I'm doing around the house. It's helpful to hear you liked seeing such a variety. 😊
The Fireplace surround looks beautiful, looking forward to what you do for the firebox and hearth. I sewed multiple blocks a few years ago for my first quilt and stopped. You inspired me to go back at it. Thanks for your lovely posts.
Hello, your fireplace surround molding turned out lovely. The paint color to match the bead board is beautiful. I love the shelving in your greenhouse. It is so clever. The patchwork of fabrics in your quilt is wonderful. It shows true life and how your quilt is well loved. Embrace the imperfections. ❤ I've really enjoyed your video today. I've just subscribed to your channel. Take care.
The muffins look so delicious and the star apple slice on the top is a lovely touch. So many beautiful results from your hard work and I especially loved the flower display on your coffee table in front of the fire. Hello from Australia 😉🌸.
Thank you! Sometimes I need an extra apple because I love the star too, and that only appears in the centre section. I made the flower arrangement to bring the beautiful autumn colours inside, which must be the opposite of what you are experiencing during your spring months.
Smashing! Beautiful craftsmanship & artistry. I enjoyed every second of this gorgeous video. And star-studded with the fabulous Humphrey. Thank you, Claire.
Hello Claire. There is something so beautiful and stunning about these videos. I cannot put it into words! What a great use to recycle the chrome shelves in the greenhouse. The fireplace makes the bedroom extra special. Is/will it be a working fireplace or just decorative? The Ryobi nail gun is on my wish lift as it makes working with wood so much easier. I like the quilt which has been obviously loved so much. I am glad it has the seal of approval from Humphrey. I have just finished a Liberty Tana Lawn hexagon quilt and hand quilted it. It was certainly a labour of love and I am pleased with the result. Wishing you a lovely weekend whatever projects you may be doing. Sophie.
Hi Sophie, it's amazing that you finished your quilt, and I'm glad you're pleased with the result! I remember you mentioning hand-stitching a quilt a few weeks ago. I have a tumbler quilt that I never have the right side showing because one of the colours in the quilt doesn't look right. Do you think it's possible to hand sew a different fabric over these to solve the problem? Also, thank you for your lovely comment about my videos.
@@BoundaryRoad Hello again Claire! Yes, I would attempt to hand sew a different fabric over the colour which you did not like. You can then hand quilt over it afterwards. It would be such a shame not to enjoy your tumbler quilt after all the time and effort which has obviously gone into to it. Sophie.
@@SW-cu6bw That's exactly what I was hoping to hear - thank you! I knew it was the wrong choice as I sewed it together but talked myself into continuing, which never ends well ;-) I've never pieced by hand, so sewing in a different fabric to replace the one I don't like will be a good introduction.
Another lovely video. The discovery of the fireplace in your bedroom is such a lucky find. And you did a great job building the surround. Will you in stall an electric fireplace? Looking forward to its completion
Thank you! I had my suspicions that there might be a fireplace as it was in line with a chimney. It is only going to be a decorative fireplace as our bedroom is one of the hottest rooms in the house and we always seem to need to reduce heat in that room rather than increase it. The option is there now with it being uncovered.
Hello again from the Cher in France. A wonderful weather today to try to find some mushrooms... but free time is best passed at my little cottage and so I’ll go for a homemade gingerbread later. Your tarts look so delicious! Maybe next week-end, when I don’t have to work (caregiver), there are still some late apples left in the garden. Have a wonderful week-end and thank you for the lovely video.
Thank you so much for the recipe - I made these (with pecans instead of hazelnuts- just a personal preference thing) and omg these muffins were amazing! So, so good! Thanks again x
Hello, this is the first year we've had the greenhouse. I did a video at the beginning of the season. This is the link for it. ruclips.net/video/jNXTbKaMvuM/видео.html It also features in my garden tour, which is linked below. ruclips.net/video/Ek_DC4t8vKY/видео.html
Sorry to hear you find the music distracting. I usually try to keep the music to the very quiet tasks and leave the noisier projects without music, so muting the video during the music could be a solution as you wouldn't be missing out on much as they are the quieter videos. I can also play around with the different sound levels to make sure sounds like the fire crackling are not lost behind the music. Thank you for your feedback.
@@BoundaryRoad Personally, I adore the music & believe it adds to the rich texture of the videos' composition and to the pleasure I derive from experiencing these multi-sensory videos. Since there is NO verbal narration, but instead typed phrases meant to be read, an easy option for those who prefer to silently watch their videos is muting by the individual viewer. A win for everyone...

Thank you so much! Autumn is my favourite season and it's nice to focus on some pleasant jobs, aside from restoring windows and paint stripping ;-)

Oh, quilt blocks (detached from a quilt) are common in my house too ;-) I hope you enjoy getting back into it.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Humphrey was particularly keen to join me for cake on the couch. 🥰
Yes, and Humphrey was such a well-mannered dining companion, not to mention a total joy to watch.
You’re video’s are works of art. Ah tea for 2. He is very gentle. X
Humphrey likes to share...sometimes he will tap our leg with his paw if he thinks he's not getting his rightful share. 😊 🐾 Thank you!

Love that 😊

I'm absolutely chuffed you gave the muffins a try and thought they were amazing. Pecans sound delicious - I will try that!

@@BoundaryRoad thank you
Hello there! I love your videos. Do you know what the gorgeous red tree is called?
Thank you! The red tree is Acer palmatum dissectum 'Garnet'. We brought it with us from London, where it was happy growing in a big pot.
🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
What paint colour did you use on your fireplace? Such a nice colour 😍
Hi there, the paint is Hardwick White by Farrow & Ball. I'm not sure whether the videos accurately show the true colour - it's a lovely muted green.
@@BoundaryRoad That's exactly what it looked like, a muted green 💚 Thank you.
Lovely videos new subscriber 😊 what is the colour of your lounge walls please?
Absolut superb ! Talent, bun gust, clasa in tot ceea ce faceti! 🏆❤️
