What a breath of fresh air that this first official led Zeppelin documentary is coming out . As a beatles fan , honestly i feel saturated with all the beatles reléases over the last years. I feel i need to give them a rest. But this , led Zeppelin never had a documentary authorized by them . I hope there is a streaming reléase later and eventually a phisical reléase after that .
I think Jimmy Page has released a lot of stuff, too. It may not have been as saturated as the Beatles stuff, but he's released alot. I love this band more than life itself. He's gotta be 82, I think in a few months. I know he's in good shape, but how much more can you do? I'll take whatever he'll give
I am freaking out, I am so excited. 54yo, as a little girl, my older sister by a decade was obsessed with LZ, my love of music is in my top 10 of things I love ❤.
Yes, will surely be there for this movie. I live about 45 minutes from the nearest IMax, but, that's OK. First time I saw them live was in 1970, so the early footage will bring back memories. Great band, wouldn't miss it!
Hey! I can hardly wait to see this documentary as well. I hope they release a DVD so I can get a booklet about their story! In addition to the rare footage! 👏🏻😮😊
I am so excited and envious of you all in the US. I am a 20 minute walk from a huge IMAX theater but no mention of a release for Japan, so we have the venue, but no sign of the movie yet!
@ yes I did end up buying one & about $20, thank you for the answer. I’m just under the senior discount, but hey we still love Led Zeppelin, even if we are old now.
Exciting news TJR. I’m definitely in! Guess it’s a trip to Edinburgh for me to see this in IMAX. If the trailer footage is a guide as to the quality then it could be awesome.
I have tickets for February 5! And for anyone thinking about going early, get your tickets now. It's a month away and almost sold out for the advanced screening in my area.
Hey hey ! Its here at last ! I remember the fuss around The Song Remains The Same film back in '76 in Britain and how you could really get the feel of how live American performances went. Jimmy & the boys really deserve some ground breaking medium like Holographic stage recreations of the Madison Sq concert. Unfortunately, it will probably be pinched by McCartney et al as he hates being upstaged by Zeppelin in the post 60s re run. The Let It Be film caused the zep anthology to be stalled. Hopefully the new documentary will contain lots of unseen material.
Excellent, can’t wait and the last time I saw Zep at a movie it was 1980 at the Akron civic center and it was the Song Remains the Same, we were throwing beer bottles at the screen bc. Bonham died 😭
I'm in Edinburgh UK, and the IMAX website is stating "there are currently no upcoming performances near you. Do you want to increase your range?" I said YES and the nearest theatre came up as... Broadway, New York! 😕
Was at Feb '72 Randwick Racecourse, Sydney that's seen for Immigrant Song. Not sure if even close to the power of the 5000 Watt Jands system will be reproduced but if it is ... watch outside ! 😀😂🤩🤘
Victoria??? That makes no sense. This is not good. We have IMAX in Winnipeg. LZ demands being seen in IMAX. I met Robert in a washroom in a downtown theatre for Lost in Translation. I got to thank him for ALS, my favourite and think their best song.
Thank goodness. Being a zep fan since album #4 came out. I'm 71 now, and I don't really care for the latest fast nanosecond editing process. I know they want this to be an exciting experience, but I hope the fast editing is cut to a minimum. One thing about Zeppelin, they've always been a very anal band. Everything always had to be "just so". That's why they only released that one live release TSRTS soundtrack, that was anything but raw. Bless em'.
I will not be going to see this on imax. I have not been to theaters in years because I am very sensitive to the volume levels with which they project film these days. I'd prefer to see it on my tv and hear it thru my headphones. I can't go to 4th of July festivities because of the loudness of the fireworks for the same reason.
I can definitely understand. One of my big sisters lives with the same situation....I am sure you will be able to see it soon enough when it comes to home media and streaming.
Same here. I'm dreading this issue. It is both immoral and unprofessional for it to be too loud. People know this and know how to make it reasonable so there are no excuses. No one of any age should be listening to anything too loud. The people who do this are shameful and have no respect for their customers.
Totally understand, I won’t be able to see it in theater and will have to wait for a hard copy to play at home at volume 11 as the theaters sound levels are far to quiet 😉 to witness this film .
I think hardcore Zeppelin fans shouldn't get their hopes up. I don't think you'll see any concert footage you haven't seen before, nor will you learn anything new about their formation. I suspect this is a movie for casual fans and young people unfamiliar with their work.
They have guts to release this documentary at the theatres first. The more wise decision would've been to go with a streaming service. Though, I guess that could happen after. They have lots of footage to use from this early Led Zeppelin era. There isn't much professional footage, after their 1970 Royal Albert Hall concert. If you're a Led Zeppelin fan, this will have to be at least interesting, getting to see the surviving members tell their story.
@@jameswilson7084 The opportunity to hear the music on IMAX is priceless. Huge screen. Huge sound. 02 played here in Winnipeg, but not this. Disappointing. Also, I think it must be an American scheduling arrangement, because Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, true. But not the Metropolis Vancouver is. Hilarious! 🤣
@@davidankrom1247 I saw Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" concert film on an IMAX screen, and it was impressive. I was lucky to have an audience who didn't want to participate in the show. 😄

No problem finding IMAX theaters in Austin. They're everywhere.

A British band, but no IMAX showings in the UK. Sickening.
usual...it took the UK several years to even accept LZ

A 'Behind The Music' video wouldn't call for a 10-minut-long standing ovation like this film got, now, would it.
