    I feel for you, it’s so hard to readjust expectations once you’ve been in the Prem. However I would point out that 6 years ago you’d have been delighted to be where you are now. I expect at some point you’ll get a couple of wins and be right at it. Until then remember for most football fans it’s a rollercoaster and the hard time make the good times that bit sweeter. All the best for the rest of the season - except when you visit us in the return fixture 🖖

    Understand your frustration I watched from Florida and I can't believe Edward's did not hear me. I agree 100% no plan b not sure we had much of a plan a.
    Time to start with one of the big guys up front and Chong and Taylor beside him. I think Morris is the one to try first as he can stay in the middle better than Adebayo.
    Will be interested to see Krauss and maybe Clarke together
    100% something needs to be changed. You are right that Chong was the last one thar should have been subbed

      Absolutely. I didn’t understand why Chong was being subbed off…. hopefully we start winning some games or we could get relegated again. Excited to see Krauß come on soon though.

      We'd be doing better with Berry and Campbell in midfield.

      @callumalston5755 He's a great motivator, very intense, which seems to work well. I like him a lot.
      He did leave us twice, both times for jobs he thought were a step up, but he wasn't successful either time. He seems to have found a great match for him with you guys. I wish you all the best for a great season.
      As for us, well, I reckon we'll probably end up around 12-16th this season. We're stuck with Edwards for the foreseeable future, and haven't had a win in over 20 games, so it's going to be another long, tough season!

    - 4 games, 3 defeats.
    - 2 home games, 2 defeats.
    - 6 goals conceded at home in just 2 games
    - 1 goal scored by a Luton player
    = we are an absolute shambles. Still early doors. But…

    The front line is what kills me I agree. I want to see our 2nd striker actually create space for the other. Problem I see is, both Morris and Eli (especially Eli) don't have the best initial ball control. They need space, but neither have the pace to do that for eachother. Ogbene would have been perfect for this. I just don't see how this partnership is gonna continue for the near future. Maybe they reunite later on but rn shit needs to change. Einsteins definition of insanity, look it up RE

    100% so many can see it . Happy clappers will always clap but clueless & his chuckle brothers have been found out . Never has a plan B or C. Taking off Chong again just sums him up. Getting dangerous already 1 point from 12.
    Strange defender makes one mistake & yanked off whilst the two up front strut around or fall over & steal a wage.

    Agree with everything you've said Lewis - on and off the pitch it's been a shambles. RE licking his lips from that 4yr deal he signed! I actually think he's struggling to raise players morale, hia tactical subs are baffling! IMO the board/RE failed in Jan when we were desperate for players. Can't help but think 2020 are happy to make more profits from selling our assets than spending those funds, pumping more into power court. I haven't felt this frustrated in our club since the previous owners - that says a lot!

    Outcoached, outplanned, outplayed…the only thing Edwards got right in his comments was he’s responsible. His structure, his tactics, his decisions, his culture. And you’re right the Board must bear some responsibility and not just in this transfer window. If they’d made better decisions in the Prem on bringing in a couple of key players we could have still been there.

    Just home from the match.
    I honestly don’t know what to say other than again we just don’t seem to be able to score, or win for that matter anymore.
    We controlled most of the first half but again failed to capitalise on chances.
    Second half started and I could see from a mile off what was going to happen, and it sadly did.
    Final whistle went and so many left straight away, and it’s the first time I’ve seen Edwards booed by a fair few people.
    My opinion is, yes it’s only 4 games in, but something seems wrong, it’s just not clicking and we seem to be in a rut of not winning a football match.
    Something needs to change, what that is, time will tell I guess.

    Failures at Board & management level! It was all too obvious during the preseason friendlies. I said it weeks ago & still cannot see anything that leads me to believe we can win a football match. Just 6 wins in 50 games! If things are not sorted quickly we are heading to the trapdoor!

    In one of your earlier videos, you said we were definitely going to score goals this season. This is not an area that any of us would have expected to be struggling in. For me, Carlton should not be Captain. The system doesn't work and there is clearly no plan B. We need to play a straight back 4 with a CDM in-front of them. The problems were clear to see last January and for some reason it just hasn't been addressed properly. There is now going to be an enormous amount of pressure on Jacob Brown when he returns. If he doesn't perform then who do we have? Woodrow is just not good enough for me and I'm not convinced that Taylor is as good as we all hope he is.

    Your frustration and anger is there for all to see Lewis and rightly so. RE’s loyalty to the front two is baffling to say the least. Chong must be getting so frustrated with always being the first name on the subs board. The defending is bordering on comical. The lack of a plan B or any plan in fact is shocking. The list could go on and on…….something needs to change and quick.

    I agree that Morris and Eli just ain't working and personally I think we should've sold one of them and got a new striker. Taylor needs more time on the pitch as he attacks the ball more than they do.
    RE I think is trying to do he's best with what we have and reduce the chance of injuries so we don't get into the same mess as last season and I agree we needed some more transfers in to cove the players that went.

  • @bphilbin666

    Qpr gave Luton a lot of free space from set pieces first half. I thought Luton were extremely hard to play against, high pressing, fouling, counter pressing in numbers, a lot of energy. Luton will be fine but the club needs to quickly forget they were in the PL because that's not the Luton identity and teams can sense that big time weakness in mentality. That's up to the the coach to address. I still think Luton will make top 6. Rangers were excellent for the first 15 and last 30. A massive result considering the poor defending first half and extremely physical challenge. Away support was immense.

  • @ArmchairHatter-wi1db
    @ArmchairHatter-wi1db Месяц назад

    Fortunately no new injuries, players resting, others getting opportunities.
    Need our bullish midfielders Alan Campbell and Pelly to rough up their players like the good old successful championship days. I know Campbell's gone, but need battlers to keep solid when we need to be and sometimes we need to stop the high press, cos all teams expect that and prepared to either go long or pass around it.

    The players appear not to care, because regardless of how they play, they will always get picked. I was shocked at the team he picked. I knew immediately we would struggle and sure enough. Hell, we didn't even score today. Barkley and Sambi have been a huge loss but for now, we desperately need a new striker and playing this system isn't working. Rob hasn' t the players to play the system he wants I guess.
    Fortune to take the lead, but you need luck - but the second half, the changes had an impact for QPR, meanwhile Rob scratched his head and waited 10 minutes after going 2-1 before making changes. Surprised McGuiness came off, he was an actual threat at corner kicks, he should have brought Eli off, especially as he placed him out wide which made me just LOL and I actually shouted out it was like schoolboy football, with the amount of ball watching.
    To me, Rob looks like a man without any ideas and the shape, the tactics aren't working. I'd keep Morris on because he at least, once in a blue moon, can nod the ball down but we lack pace going forward, too many side way plays and I lost count again how many times we gave the ball away when trying to play out the back. Shocking and unless Edwards changes something after the international break - he needs to go.

  • @-_Blitz_-
    @-_Blitz_- Месяц назад +2

    Now the question is - can Rob turn this around? It’s all well and good inheriting a winning team but you HAVE to have the ability as a manager to find a way to reignite emotion in the dressing room

  • @philipwain5528
    @philipwain5528 Месяц назад +6

    Totally agree. He could send a message out if he changed one of the strikers instead of hoping it will come good. Which seems to be his plan. For the record I’d leave out Morris. I think the top priority should have been a leader in central midfield but they ignored that and faffed around with players that may have potential maybe not. Even given that we have enough quality if the manager does his job. He shouldn’t have joined the heads down with the team after they scored. He should have peeled the paint off the dressing room wall for the beaten reaction from the team. Many of the supporters like myself travel a lot of miles. Not to see them looking so defeated. I couldn’t believe the Chong substitution. Should have been Morris. Taylor went on to divert Morris header over. A sad night.

  • @peterscott234
    @peterscott234 Месяц назад +2

    Totally agree with you Lewis. We did not even score ourselves last night it was an own goal! We don't have a Captain on the field no shouting or chiding from Morris which is what we need. Make Bell or McGuiness the Captain. He took off Chong to make sure he does not get a red card we 100% need him for the next game. Stop playing the two men up top as even QPR had worked that system out. Clark was Man of the Match for me. I think that RE is a far better Manager than NJ who also had poor in-game planning. We are now coming to a forced reset during the international break and there are still over 100 points to play for.

    I wonder, whether, we have rather 'sleepwalked' into this season !! After giving the PL such a good go, receiving 'plaudits' for the way we played and attacked teams, did we drop into this season, thinking, we were better than what we, perhaps, are ?? You can see from Rob Edwards from his body language in his interviews, that, he is NOT happy !! DID he ask for certain players, but for the board, either, the transfer fee, or wages were too 'high' !! Are the board putting it ALL on PC, and, rather, neglecting the 'playing' side !! The way we are going atm, we will be starting at PC with a 25,000 capacity L1 or lower !! MOST good teams have that midfield 'destroyer', and, we BADLY need Nakamba, and Thomas Krass available for selection ASAP !! WHY have we let Allan Campbell go ?? Then, ON the field, we are just not performing in BOTH boxes !!
