Back again with EMP! Flying, EMP Damage and Missiles - The true trinity of destruction! So what do you all think? Is this combo too strong for use in the full lets play I will be doing in the future or should elements of It move forward with us?
This video took so long to put together as It was what I would normally do over a few episodes of a lets play of this mode but since I didn't want It to get dull I made sure to edit It all quite sharply! Hope you all enjoyed, I sure did! :D

Sorry for the delay with videos this week, sadly one of my pets passed away after a sudden and quick illness. Lipton the tortoise has always been a big part of my daily routine for many many years and It put me in a place where I really wasn't up for recording after his sudden passing.
Thank you all for your patience, things are getting back on track now!
I think is might be a good idea to avoid emp too much because of how strong it is

I so dearly missed you lathrix. Welcome back. And at a funny time for the community, with the dlc.
EMP is really strong vs AOTE craft due to size limit& the designs being outdated. You can easily emp protect with HA emp conduits which make essentially a faraday cage making even 1m of METAL enough insulation, but at small sizes that becomes much more difficult .
So, In my opinion, only go with very small amounts of EMP unless AOTE gets revamped, then emp protection will propably be enough to go all out with emp

Lathrix, I've been watching you since I was a shut in, jobless, anxiety ridden teen. Since then I've gone from delivering pizzas, to being a manager of pizzas. From barback, to up and coming bartender. Thank you for providing great, relaxing, and comforting content throughout my life. I'm sure as a primary lurker in your community I don't mean much, but Lathland (and community) you've given me countless hours of entertaining and honestly comforting content. Love how Lathland always says something like "They should totally destroy us" and "I'm not a good builder" moments before his always superior designs absolutely wreck whatever it is he is fighting, usually with absolutely clear dominance.
It's the Lathrixian Paradox. Dude's been building FtD craft for almost a decade now, and is so talented at making godkillers on a budget that both function and look good he has to actively handicap himself otherwise it gets boring. All the while, he has the same amount of confidence in his designs as someone who bought it on sale because it looked neat and has never played a craft builder game in their life.
You'd think obliterating your enemies with ease would boost your self confidence, but apparently not for Lathrix.
@@giaxo1739 He's not so simple, it's these greatly complex machinations that both bring force great and boast-worthy designs without the typical simple feedback of elevated confidence. To that end he perpetuates a need to build better, fulfills the need with grand creativity which he can't admit to himself driving him to do it again. I'm sure he acknowledges this but won't let himself be brought down by self-satisfaction in the form of confidence, rather seek a much more deep seeded joy in simply becoming the best- and then doing even better. This because he'd make a great engineer, truly.
the game is a joke and should be harder. thats his real point. thats why hes bored as hell too

Lathrix just casually creating an entire faction's worth of different vehicles as he builds up his *one* creation never gets old.
Honestly loved this guys FTD runs, always paid attention to them silently, I really hopes they continue this legacy.

The robocraft devs are making a sequel and it looks promising. The new building system is great and it works sorta like in scrap mechanic. There is an alpha of the new build mode and multiplayer and it's quite nice even though it's missing some features
Could be interesting to build mono-weapon vehicles. Like a tank with just one big cannon, or a big laser, big ballistic missile launcher and so on. Like if you were making a unit for an RTS game.

FTD is what brought me to your channel oh so many years ago. I'm very happy to see it return. I'd love to see you touch on some of the other campaigns that have been long ignored. Perhaps a solo weapon type run?

Hey Lathrix! love the content! So glad I caught this video early so you might see the comment! Few things: Firstly, I've been trying to get into FTD for about 4 years though off and on though I just cant seem to get the hang of it, ive played the tutorials and viewed the guides countless times though i can still barely make a viable craft. I remember a few years back you made a submarine tutorial which I really enjoyed; and i would love to see something like a tutorial series from you in FTD, obviously community feedback/the algorithm is what drives a lot of the continuing content on the channel, so hopefully if you decide to do that, it would be well recieved. And secondly! Since the majority of your craft in all of your games are based on the Chaos gods, I'd love to know if you play the tabletop yourself? Similar to the videos where youve shown off your pet snails and lizards in IRL content, id love to see your army (assuming you play), Anyways keep up the great content!

The amount of progress you make in a single episode is crazy. Going from campaign start to a proper mid game build almost faster than I can keep track of. It's great to see you enjoying the new game mode, but I would personally like to see more of the building and testing too

One thing that might also be a bit too uninteractive for a full campaign, but could also be fun would be to make a particle cannon bomber. Lasers are probably too short-range to properly be an orbital death ray, but particle-cannon orbital bombardment would be quite shiny.
I absolutely love your content and the way you make the videos.
And my wive, who doesn't wacht RUclips at all, loves to listen to your videos since you have such a great narrator voice that is so soothing she can fall sleep.

I’ve been watching since robocraft and ARK. I love your ftd content so much, as I’ve only recently taken the time to tackle the harsh learning curve of the game despite having bought it in 2016. I’m now on 180hours and am still learning a lot. Love your content, very excited to hear ftd will be here again after this mode is more stable!

First, thank you for the video; it was satisfying and a nice mood boost.
Second, if you are going to fly, might the idea of using harpoon missiles and a down-pointed short-range particle beam independence day style interest you.
Third, I would also like to see missiles that shoot missiles that shoot missiles (aka swarm) get used with hardened penetrator type warheads. I have not perfected this myself, but who doesn't love ridiculous missile use?

I discovered your channel because of FTD. Thought it seemed like a neat idea but not really a complete game. This mode makes it feel a lot more complete. Please keep makin em. I hope they flesh out the adventure mode even more.

Loved the video @Lathland! Can't wait for the next video man! You should take a Look at the M4 Sherman Medium Tank and try building that in "From the Depths". Maybe Build the M4A2 or M4A3(Late) Models, Later on you can maybe look into having Some M10 3" "Wolverine" Gun Motor Carriage Tank Destroyers or the British M10c 17pdr SP(RA) "Achilles" (The name for the latter given by the Israelis after World War Two) and probably some Matillda II Infantry Tanks for some Heavy Armor and Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk. X Fighter-Bombers for Air Support. This Might as well be the Basis for "Battlegroup Lathland" right here.
Craft looks very Necron in design. I like.

I feel like it needs trees of some kind. The big differentiating factor between land and see battles is largely the vast differences in environmental objects that you interact with on land. Maybe the sea version of the adventure mode could do with some coral reefs or other similar underwater fauna. Volcano might be cool
