I have actually used this sense of reasoning for myself, so hearing you say it, it is as if you took it from my mind. Nothing is certain, it is all based on probability, which is why I view Islam to require faith as in you can drag the probability to even 99.99%, but that 0.01% would be a leap of faith, which all people employ.
