    Very informative with wonderful footage, thankfully nobody was killed during the eruptions, many may curse the disruption to family life and livelihoods but we also need to give thanks to natures power which created life on these islands in the first place, it wouldn't have happened without volcanic activity, I'm sure the Palmeros will come back strong. ❤God Bless from the Azores.

    Thanks for the beautiful video. It seems to me that there aren't that many commented videos on RUclips about the Canary Islands considering that it is the best holiday destination for Europeans in winter.
    I hope to be able to visit all the islands in the next few years.

      Yes you should do. Ideal in winter, easy to get to, no mosquitoes or venomous creatures cheap, diverse scenery, places to explore and beaches. They all offer something different. I'm going to do a video soon comparing all of them and which is better for the type of experience you want.

      @@CanariesExplorer So far I have only visited Tenerife and La Gomera. To tell you the truth, I'm not really interested in beaches, I go to the islands for hiking.
      I didn't encounter any mosquitoes there, but on La Gomera there were some pretty annoying spider webs in places where not many people go. This year I plan to spend the Christmas holidays at La Gomera or Hierro.

      Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera is one of my favourite places because of the beautiful setting, the facilities and not too many people.I have never been to El Hierro but I expect it to be a a more basic version of La Gomera and La Palma with less infrastructure and facilities. All are great for hiking but La Palma has more diversity with both volcanic and green regions.

    Subbed. Hope you continue to make content. It’s great!
    Researching places to go away after mental gymnastics with TUI that I only have a week to decide. I’m restricted by locations to stay (unfortunately) and mainly resorts.
    Flipping between La Palma and Gomera. Down side is I don’t drive or speak a word of Spanish (terrible with language)
    Any advice for a first time visitor to the canaries? Thinking may, but with the August Perseid meteor shower? Argh decisions decisions!

    Thanks so much for this video mate. So informative. And thanks for no drone footage, which is unfortunately the trend nowadays. I mean everything looks great from the drone perspective, but as a human beings, it's a perspective that we won't experience, so...

    those black beaches are a complete turn off for a lot of people unfortunately. Who wants to travel all that way to be on worse beaches than in their own countries?

    • @CanariesExplorer
      @CanariesExplorer  10 месяцев назад +3

      The vast majority of people go to La Palma to explore and hike in the natural beauty not to sit around beaches. If you want beaches then go to Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura .

    • @zafira976
      @zafira976 10 месяцев назад

      no need to sit around, even for a quick swim it's just not appealing at all. Why are you getting all butthurt when the beaches are clearly looking like swamps and the sand like mud? I get it that people want to have a break from the miserable European winters and need some warmth in Jan-Feb. But You can't convince people that ugly is pretty. Look at Majorca, Corsica, Sardinia or the Greek Island. That is real beauty from all points of view. The villages and towns also look a lot better than the Canary islands. The all year round nice climate is a good selling point for the Canaries, not their beauty, that's for sure

      @@zafira976I actually really liked the black volcanic beaches of La Palma, it’s unique and something different than the general white sand beaches which can be found everywhere. Also the structure of the sand is nicer as it’s a bit more rough and can be easily swiped off. But well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess

      @@esther223 I agree on this one! I guess there are different points of view. I do like different elements of the Canaries a lot, just not keen on those beaches. The climate is second to none, especially all year 'round
