Thank you for all your videos - they are interesting and show so many beautiful places! Also, I am wondering; with your experience - which place do you think is nicest to live and has the nicest nature/forests/beaches - Gran Canaria, Tenerife or La Palma? I have the impression that especially Tenerife is very touristy.
@Zaqirlol I will be doing a video on which Canary Island ? Tenerife is only touristy on the south coast from Golf de Sur to Los Gigantes. Anywhere more than a few km from the coast is more local. The north is the nicest part, very green and Canarian; Puerto de la Cruz area has everything . Tenerife has everything for everyone. La Palma is best for nature lovers and for for those who want a quieter and more local island . North Gran Canaria is beautiful and green with Las Palmas a great city. The touristy south and west has good beaches but is isolated from local towns and villages.
Just what I was looking for
The drilling method sounds a lot like NATM (new Austrian tunneling method). Anyway, good for Spain to advance the mobility in Tenerife. We're also waiting for a FV1 connection to FV2.
Thank you for this detailed documentary. Here in Eastern Canada, we sit on a massive plate of Precambrian strata called The Canadian Shield. No vulcanism, minimal seismic activity. Fascinating planet isn't it? Many places just live on the ragged edge of disaster, like the Canaries. Appreciate your hard work sharing what you know.
Who is here because of the movie? ❤
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😮😮😮
Danke, tolles Video
Muchisimas Gracias.
prachtig of niet. Wij waren er voor deze uitbraak.
Excellent video. Have just returned from a holiday there.
Great video with beautiful shots, very helpful to plan my visit!
Why would you live there, especially if you knew what is predicted to come soon?
Will part of that island ever come away and cause a catastrophic event - mega tsunami into the Atlantic which will have devastating impact on parts of Europe, UK and east coast of US ?
No.
Climate change 🤦🏼♂️ Destroy your economy for what happens naturally on our planet.
Vielen Dank für die tollen Vorher/Nachher - Bilder. Grüße aus Deutschland

Subbed. Hope you continue to make content. It’s great! Researching places to go away after mental gymnastics with TUI that I only have a week to decide. I’m restricted by locations to stay (unfortunately) and mainly resorts. Flipping between La Palma and Gomera. Down side is I don’t drive or speak a word of Spanish (terrible with language) Any advice for a first time visitor to the canaries? Thinking may, but with the August Perseid meteor shower? Argh decisions decisions!
Danke, sehr gute Aufnahmen und vorher -nachher Bilder 😢, angenehme Stimme
I know there's an airport in the North but are there any plans to upgrade it to encourage tourism in the North of the island?
soy de la Palma 🖤
Very informative with wonderful footage, thankfully nobody was killed during the eruptions, many may curse the disruption to family life and livelihoods but we also need to give thanks to natures power which created life on these islands in the first place, it wouldn't have happened without volcanic activity, I'm sure the Palmeros will come back strong. ❤God Bless from the Azores.
Human nature makes it difficult to think in geologic time scales. However, with practice, one can. And, then, you start to recognize the tentative nature of our existence, particularly in places like volcanic islands.
Thanks for the informations. I like La Palma.
This idea has been put forward as being 'about to happen, maybe' since i first began reading about green energy options....in about 1980. I think if you really look at how much anything of this kind contributes to actual global energy use, or storage, it won't turn out to be even hardly a measurable amount in terms of percentage in the big picture, and I suspect it will stay that way.
Amazing video!
I was there a month ago. These are phantastic views. I was in the lavafields going to feet. The palmeros have a lot of work over the next years for reconstraction. The interesting thing for me was - after two years you can still feel the heat of the lava like a gigantic infrarot heater.
Thanks so much for this video mate. So informative. And thanks for no drone footage, which is unfortunately the trend nowadays. I mean everything looks great from the drone perspective, but as a human beings, it's a perspective that we won't experience, so...
You did a good job documenting the before and after. It takes a lot of time to do such a video. Thanks.
The cyclists can have the old road 😅
Amazing review! The only film available in regards to that tunnel.. Thank You
Blessings good luck and a quick recovery for all the residents there affected by the volcanic eruption
Music too loud to clearly hear narration.

😍 great Video 👍 Thank you
Beautiful shots of a beautiful island. I visited all the places in the video except Playa de Santiago. I've walked almost 300km on La Gomera... If I can recommend, the Ermita de San Juan above Hermigua is very nice. And it's probably accessible by car. The most memorable experience on the island for me was hiking from Agula to Mirador de Abrante. I walked it twice because the first time there was so much fog that I even got lost above Mirador de Abrante.
That's a lot of walking, well done. La Gomera is a walking paradise and perfectly safe like all the islands from people and creatures. Most people are ignorant of the beauty and advantages of the Canaries.
I was there last April. Beautiful valley. But my greatest memory is going back to my hotel in Chipude. I went up the north side of the Barranco del Agua. It was very hot and I ran out of water halfway up the hill.
Thanks for the beautiful video. It seems to me that there aren't that many commented videos on RUclips about the Canary Islands considering that it is the best holiday destination for Europeans in winter. I hope to be able to visit all the islands in the next few years.
Yes you should do. Ideal in winter, easy to get to, no mosquitoes or venomous creatures cheap, diverse scenery, places to explore and beaches. They all offer something different. I'm going to do a video soon comparing all of them and which is better for the type of experience you want.
@@CanariesExplorer So far I have only visited Tenerife and La Gomera. To tell you the truth, I'm not really interested in beaches, I go to the islands for hiking. I didn't encounter any mosquitoes there, but on La Gomera there were some pretty annoying spider webs in places where not many people go. This year I plan to spend the Christmas holidays at La Gomera or Hierro.
Valle Gran Rey in La Gomera is one of my favourite places because of the beautiful setting, the facilities and not too many people.I have never been to El Hierro but I expect it to be a a more basic version of La Gomera and La Palma with less infrastructure and facilities. All are great for hiking but La Palma has more diversity with both volcanic and green regions.
A spaniard canarian from Tenerife, thanks for the good documentary
Your video is the best on the subject, even if you did not cover the sub-tropical forests. Thank you !
those black beaches are a complete turn off for a lot of people unfortunately. Who wants to travel all that way to be on worse beaches than in their own countries?
The vast majority of people go to La Palma to explore and hike in the natural beauty not to sit around beaches. If you want beaches then go to Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura .
no need to sit around, even for a quick swim it's just not appealing at all. Why are you getting all butthurt when the beaches are clearly looking like swamps and the sand like mud? I get it that people want to have a break from the miserable European winters and need some warmth in Jan-Feb. But You can't convince people that ugly is pretty. Look at Majorca, Corsica, Sardinia or the Greek Island. That is real beauty from all points of view. The villages and towns also look a lot better than the Canary islands. The all year round nice climate is a good selling point for the Canaries, not their beauty, that's for sure
@@zafira976I actually really liked the black volcanic beaches of La Palma, it’s unique and something different than the general white sand beaches which can be found everywhere. Also the structure of the sand is nicer as it’s a bit more rough and can be easily swiped off. But well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess
@@esther223 I agree on this one! I guess there are different points of view. I do like different elements of the Canaries a lot, just not keen on those beaches. The climate is second to none, especially all year 'round
Wrong
Thank you - very useful
Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed your presentation
Amazing, thank you.
Aamazing & beautiful island. I hope they recover to a better life than they had before.
