I agree that you can be friends! My boyfriend is still friends with his ex and i don’t see a problem with it. Me and my boyfriend trusts each other so he can hangout with her whenever he wants to and plus she makes sure i’m okay with them hanging out, And i dated all of my friends before, except one and he knows that and he doesn’t have a problem with that either 🤷‍♀️

With the right amount of healthy respect of boundaries and respect that there's not always something to learn from why you didn't work together, sometimes people just work better as friends.
My first ever partner, we ended on not great terms. But, we did the work of mending the hurt we felt during the relationship and found that there was room for forgiveness. Now, he's one of my best friends and he's been happily married to my sister for over 5 years now ❤️
