- I used the program "Audacity" to eliminate as much of the vocals as I could.
It's not perfect, but it suits my needs and hopefully yours as well.
Feel free to use this for auditions or just to sing along! Hopefully later down the road a better version of this can be made.

I don't care if you can slightly hear the vocals. It's WAY better than the karaoke "bar" versions going around right now.

i didnt want this to sing to, i just think this is one of the most gorgeous songs in the musical. the music is so gorgeous! i was looking for a way to hear just the orchestra and this is the only one i found from the movie soundtrack! thanks:)
I like how you can faintly hear Russell Crowe singing in the background. It's really good to practice singing.

There is actually a difference between a villain and an antagonist. You should read this too, Ciaran Smith. A villain is someone who does evil things, usually for their own selfish reasons, like the Thenardiers. An antagonist is merely someone who gets in the way of the protagonist, like how Javert stands between Jean Valjean and freedom. Because Javert never does anything evil he is technically an antagonist as opposed to a full-blown villain.
Trying to hold that last note like "STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwheezeAAARS"

Regardless of how well Russell Crowe did, I actually really love the background instrumental for this version of the song.
I can't believe this is the closest we have to an ost. Why didn't/haven't they released the instrumental score?!!!

+Nick Forte You can get much better instrumentals by simply muting the center channel from the dvd or blu-ray! ;-)
